  1. To be fair, you're not going to recover quickly if it is a muscle problem but it does seem like Pulisic does not need to take much time to get back into rhythm, which is a good thing. Think he is touch and go for the start of next season, will miss the first game or first two games at most, according to Lampard. And based on his recent comments, it does seem like he is aware of Pulisic's injury history and will likely try to solve the issue.
  2. No, just no. Bakayoko just doesn’t have the technical capability to even function properly for us, regardless of whether he is more capable defensively than Jorginho. You can’t attempt to play progressive football and have players who are technically poor like Bakayoko in the side.
  3. True but it’s not like Bayern knew when Robben got injured. Am sure he has gotten injured before and then missed key games in the Champions League for example but that did not stop Bayern from keeping him. In the Premier League, an example would be Aguero, who has had his fair share of injury problems over the years. Sure, you might again argue that City have probably been the most dominant side in recent years and have a squad to cope but we are also looking to build a squad as strong as City, no? I know his injury record overall doesn’t look great but just in terms of his time here, he only really was out earlier this year. Admittedly, it was like 2 months but it was still only one period in the entire season. As long as his training workload is managed properly as well as his game time, he should be fine.
  4. Robben got injured a lot and yet, Bayern still stuck with him till the end.
  5. Need Sevilla to slap United in the semi final...
  6. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/aug/11/david-silva-to-join-lazio-on-three-year-deal-after-leaving-manchester-city David Silva to Lazio. 3-year deal.
  7. Not sure if the savior part matters. Remember Berbatov at Man United? He was also criticized for the same thing and he wasn't exactly the savior of the United side either. Like you said, the price tag and hype will mean there is gonna be a lot more attention on Havertz. After all, this is a player who is being described as the best German talent out there, the best one in ages. So yeah, Lampard will do well to protect him in the public.
  8. Feel like Havertz's body language is gonna come into question a lot when he has a bad game, be it by the pundits, journalists or the fans, much like Ozil at Arsenal. It's gonna be a fun ride!
  9. Improvement can be made nonetheless, like on those aspects you mentioned. New signings would be most welcome but it shouldn't be seen as the solution to our problems. Moreover, Lampard reportedly talked about a 3-year plan to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League (latter might be asking a lot in 3 years but that's another debate) when trying to convince Ziyech and Werner to join us. So next season is year 2 and assuming Lampard has planned out what to do, then yeah, he needs to improve the side through coaching, new signings or not.
  10. Please no. They are likely gonna be the league's worst side next season.
  11. Would certainly hope so. Players coming to the Premier League from the Eredivisie haven't exactly done too well over the years.
  12. Think the question will be whether he can handle the physicality and intensity of the Premier League. The quality of the Champions League may be higher but some other aspects of it are different from the Premier League. If he can handle it, then his quality will shine through - e.g. Pulisic this season.
  13. The vaccine can't come soon enough. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12355759 4 community cases in New Zealand out of the blue after more than 3 months without one.
