  1. In the other group game, Sevilla have just gone 1-0 up against Rennes and have absolutely been hammering them. Sevilla with 15 shots, 8 shots on target and 69% possession. Rennes have just 1 shot, 1 shot on target and 31% possession.
  2. Oops. 2 of his last 4 penalties but 2 of the last 3 games where we had penalties.
  3. You're missing the point. I get that players can miss a penalty here and there but the point is here the penalty taking style. Jorginho's hop-skip style is always gonna look foolish when it doesn't come off and he's suddenly missed 2 of his last 3. I mentioned scoring penalties with power because that's what Lampard used to do. Am just trying to give a perspective that he might favor such style in the future instead of someone like Jorginho's after the recent misses.
  4. He's doing everything that a proper goalkeeper should be doing. Long it may continue!
  5. Burnley 0-3 Chelsea PRE/POST-MATCH DISCUSSION, LIVE CHAT AND ANALYSIS 2020/21 Premier League Match 7 31st October, Saturday 2020 Turf Moor 15:00 Kick Off (UK time)
  6. Let's face it, Jorginho's penalty style is always gonna be contentious when it doesn't come off...
  7. Lampard wasn't wrong with what he said but I think the problem here is the penalty taking style. Jorginho's will look great if it comes off but it will look very stupid if it doesn't and Jorginho has suddenly missed 2 from 3 this season (excluding shootout). Given Lampard's own penalty taking style during his career, he should know a thing or two about just picking the target and smashing it in rather than trying to be clever with it.
  8. Am pretty sure it was Werner. It's in the first half right?
  9. When was this? I remember there was a situation exactly like how you described it but it's Werner who was at the edge of the box.
  10. If we are gonna play him on the left in a 4-3-3, then we might as well not play him at all. Am not a fan of Lampard using him like a winger out wide. And not to mention, we have Pulisic back and Hudson-Odoi available. No stupid reason to be using Werner out wide.
  11. Am I the only one who gets frustrated when watching Kovacic? Unlike Jorginho, it feels Kovacic can do so much more with his talent and technical ability but he becomes so timid and almost plays within himself when we need someone to be decisive in that midfield.
  12. Our xG below 1 again (excluding the penalties).
  13. My one concern is that Werner could get isolated upfront in that system but if we can get support around him and make it work, then why not?
  14. Today's win doesn't erase all the doubts hanging over Lampard but I guess the result buys him some more time to (hopefully) sort us out properly.
  15. Never a 4-0 game but hey ho! Really horrendous performance until these changes happened...
  16. Both goals after we switched to 4-3-3 and took Kovacic and Jorginho out!
  17. Maybe it's a coincidence that Krasnodar ran out of gas but we look much better in the 4-3-3?
  18. Krasnodar are missing like a dozen first team players but we are the ones playing like we are missing a dozen first team players...
  19. There is just no passing patterns or attacking patterns in what we're trying to do. Everything feels very individualistic.
  20. He must be wondering what he got himself into, going from a good, progressive, cohesive team under a tactically savvy manager to this nonsense...
  21. 2 1/2 games of rubbish football. My eyes are gonna bleed at this rate. Also very fortunate to be leading via a GK howler. Only way we were going to score in that first half.
