Would like to think Alan meant consistently or for a few games in a row..

Err you did realize that only Luiz and Mata started from the Arsenal game, no? Ramires did play but only came on as a sub. And anyway, don't think who we played and what we did on Tuesday had any bearings on what happened today. The players just did not bother turning up.

Or maybe Mourinho just has his preference issue despite banging about meritocracy all season and contradicting it at the same time.. About Cole, there was one incident of him that just pisses me off and even summed him up of his recent performances. Remember in the second half against Newcastle when the ball was played behind him and a Newcastle player (can't remember who) got a free run at goal and nearly scored but thanks to Cech? That was just utterly pathetic. The incident happened because he got exposed is criminal already as it is but then, Cole didn't even bother to run back and try to stop the attack!

Fair enough. TBF, I have commented on the other AMs that they should also be doing more or better offensively such as in Schurrle's case, improving his use of the ball. Hence why we seem to be praising so many these days because of their defensive work. However, therein lies the problem as well. Because of this counter attacking or that bit of cautious/defensive approach, the players seem to have been tasked to do more defensive work than anything else and resulting in the fact our players especially the creative offensive ones are not maximized to its full potential to really have a go at teams. Can understand if that approach is taken against the big teams but the small ones? We have not done anywhere near what did in the first half against Hull in other games against lesser sides. Hardly seen much of it.

This is getting tedious. Every time Cahill plays and makes a mistake, people say Luiz should have played instead. And when Luiz plays and makes a mistake, then oh Cahill should have played rather than Luiz! Really, regardless of who plays, they should be doing better with the defending especially when most of the mistakes seem to come from either one having brainfart moments with basic defending stuff!

Not my problem if people like the post. I only wanted to make my point across about this whole situation. Those that get it, yay. If not, then yeah whatever. The members that have read this thread and follow the discussion that goes on here will know about it. And byt continuing to talk about this, you are only making yourself look more like one of those people...

Can you please stop spamming the threads with that post?! If you are unhappy with him taking your signature, please convey the message through PM please..

Well, not sure why you are worrying or bothering about it really if you think you aren't one of these 'people'........

Don't think I need to bother naming names. Otherwise, it would probably result in some silly petty fight here again. Many that read this thread would well know who these people are anyway...

The defending of Lampard at times here is just beyond embarrassing really. When he plays well and is praised for it, then fair enough. But when he doesn't play well, these people, by hook or by crook, will try to find excuses to justify his poor performance..

Despite all the stick Moyes and United have got, they will be only 3 points behind us after today... Yes, but it's pathetic that we did not keep up the same effort. Nobody turned up today!
-
Yes, it is sort of wasted. We put in a big effort into beating one of our title rivals and then go screw it up against a lesser side.

Some things to note: 1. On a weekend where Arsenal play Liverpool and Everton face Spurs, we go and mess things up against Newcastle. Last weekend's win over City looks wasted! Can only hope Arsenal v Liverpool and Everton v Spurs end in draws (or an Everton win)...which after saying that, it won't happen. 2. It's either this is the start of our usual winter slump or it's just the bloody bound to happen cock-up after the perfect October we had. We've now still only got 3 wins from our last 14 league games in November.. 3. That turned out to be a gutless and even spineless performance in the end. Arguably, only Hazard turned up and looked our most dangerous player going forward. The others were just awful and in more ways than one. Though we didn't create much in the first half, we were the better team then and should have made our dominance (of sorts) counted but yet all our chances came from corners and nothing was created from open play. When it did look like happening though, Hazard and Mata overplayed it in the box with trying to walk the ball into the net rather than just shooting it! 4. Does nobody knows how to the tackle in that team? In the second half especially, none of the players looked like they have got any clue in how to tackle players. Some were just mindlessly diving into challenges thinking they will nick the ball off. Ramires's challenge for the 2nd goal was an example of that. Utterly pathetic! 5. This is not an overreaction or anything but it is somewhat worrying. Despite that we were on a strong winning run before today, the lack of chances created lately is rather concerning. By that I mean whenever we go forward, we don't look like cutting the opposition's defence apart. We have looked lost and more often than not, only just creating half chances. Even when we do create chances, and usually not many in a game, we don't convert them (though that's another issue). And this is despite we have all these creative attacking players. Instead, most of the goals we've scored lately have come from the counters and mistakes from goalkeepers (+ defenders). Goals against Norwich, Cardiff, Schalke, Man City and Arsenal all reflect that.

No proof?! And there you go again with disregarding the facts thrown at you about what those awards are about and then claim what you say or so called look at is the truth. Anyway, like I said before, what a bloody waste of time... Have a good day.....

Honestly, I have no idea why so many got worked up because of what I said about Willian before. I'm totally aware of the reasons that have been mentioned but have I like gone out to say 'If Willian doesn't perform in the next few games, we should sell him because he's rubbish!' or things like that?! No. I don't think there's any wrong if I want to see more from Willian going forward because right now, I've not seen enough of it yet.

With Chelsea now favourites with many bookmakers for the Premier League title, Alex Dunn wonders whether Jose Mourinho ever really gets the credit he deserves. Has the Special One's self-proclamations of greatness prevented others from doing likewise? Analysis of Mourinho on the Sky Sports website..
