  1. Apologies. It's a mistake there. The game is indeed not on Sky Sports 2..
  2. Here's two funny stats.. 1. The 14 previous Premier League meetings between Chelsea and West Brom have seen a total of 13 managers take part (via Daily Mail). 2. John Gregory(QPR), Chris Hughton(Newcastle), Andre Villas-Boas(Chelsea), Mick McCarthy(Wolves), Roberto Di Matteo(Chelsea) and Paolo di Canio(Sunderland) have all been sacked following league defeats to West Brom.
  3. The curse avoided then for Mourinho... And unsurprisingly...
  4. Bamford won the Player of the Month for October in League One..
  5. Ivanovic and Cahill on Mourinho's stance of situation with Hazard.. http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1609642/chelsea-branislav-ivanovic-backs-jose-mourinho-eden-hazard-punishment?cc=4716
  6. On topic... Daily Star (and Times apparently) claimed Hazard missed the training session because he lost his passport. Then again, this is a non-issue, isn't it?
  7. Further further further off topic.. (that was fun )
  8. That journalist/reporter was really pushing for it with the last 2 questions. Don't think it was anything nice said about us. Just that he spoke the truth and diplomatically. And really, as much as Draxler is a talent, his performance yesterday was exaggerated by that reporter/journalist.
  9. Talk about a picture speaking a thousand words.................

  11. Oh yeah...I'm sure you didn't mean to........
  12. Aah yes, the same old crap from you about 'oh, fans that go to stadiums know better bla bla bla'...
  13. Like I said, that Aguero goal was a moment of individual brilliance from him. Doubt many would have expected him to shoot with his left foot from there but given that he did it, he absolutely just smashed that in with power and pace and it went past Cech in a flash. Don't think he can do much about it.
  14. The quality of Aguero's there has simply been exaggerated. His movement then maybe decent but if you notice, Cahill's tendency of backing off opposition's player was what eventually played Aguero onside. The other 3 still did well and hold their line but as soon as Nasri (I think) got the ball, turned and made a very short run, Cahill was already backing off and it then made it easy for Aguero to get in behind the defence with his movement.
  15. Oops. Sorry, was reading it with a sleepy eyes (brain!). :banghead: What you pointed out there may be true but that is what, only 1 game? His off the ball work offensively may well be decent but ON it, he's extremely rubbish at it, which is what has been mentioned from the beginning.
  16. Aguero's moment of brilliance is when he took the shot which caught Cech out, not on timing his run. And if you want to talk about timing the run and praising Aguero for it, then the opposite should be thrown at Cahill for his non-timing to set the offside trap. Also, had Cahill been aware of his position, the other 3 defenders that were already ahead of him and Aguero's and positioned himself better, the goal wouldn't even have happened.
  17. Like I said, no one is faulting him on his defensive duties which you are highlighting above. I am just mentioning his extremely obvious deficiencies going forward like I did in the last post.
  18. Choo Choo was talking about Cahill's error in playing Aguero onside when the others had already pushed up to spring the offside trap. His positioning and lack of awareness got exposed there..
  19. No one is faulting his defensive work but in a modern world where a FB's contribution offensively is getting important, you need the FB to provide at least some form of threat going forward as well. There is no point in Ivanovic's case to bomb up and down the flanks all day along if he can't even produce something decent in the final third.
  20. I know stats don't always tell the whole story but here's the stats on our record this season with CB partnership of Terry and Cahill/Luiz.. Terry + Luiz - P6 W3 D1 L2 = 1 clean sheet (vs Steaua Bucharest) Terry + Cahill - P7 W6 D1 = 5 clean sheets (vs Hull, Man United, Fulham and Schalke x2) And just to add, when it's Luiz and Cahill at CB, the stats read P4 W2 D1 L1 and kept 2 clean sheets (vs Swindon and Arsenal).
  21. That certainly is a concern that I have been pointing out recently. Despite all the creative attacking players we've got, it's mind blowing that we're still struggling to break down teams that go defensive against us. There's just nothing cohesive for us going forward and lately, most of our goals have come as a result of goalkeepers and defenders mistakes and counter attacks.
