  1. But the fact is Bertrand is a proper left back and from his performances, he has shown he can be a solid and dependable left back both offensively and defensively. Offensively, as we are speaking about here, he may not be the best but he gets forward a lot and willing to take on players and get to the byline (which is something we don't see from Cole!) and as a result of this, it creates space for others to work with (like how Hazard seem to enjoy more when he gets that with Bertrand behind him) and also make himself available for a passing option or combination to cause problems for the opposition.
  2. As Blue Armour said in the Ivanovic thread, if Mourinho is gonna play Azpi out of position at LB and Ivanovic at RB, we might as well just switch their position. Get Azpi at RB and Ivan at LB since the former doesn't get forward anyway at LB. That way, Mourinho can be happy and keep his favorite son in the team still and at the same time having a way better RB as an attacking outlet in Azpi. Granted, Azpi's crossing is not exactly the best either TBF but looking at his performances there last season, he certainly combines way better with the attacking players, more mobile and has higher intelligence and versatility in his offensive play to cause damage!
  3. Not sure if sexy football can be put in the same sentence as Mourinho but one can hope so I supposed. And am still wondering where that first half performance against Hull has gone to.
  4. Seeing how we always seem to crack so easily under pressure these days whenever teams attack us, I wouldn't be surprised if Big Sam setup his team to be on the front foot and physical against us especially when we don't deal well with such approach. Mourinho is bound to be conservative in this game.
  5. What a beautiful fixture to conclude a horrible November for us... And by the way, there's also Arsenal v Southampton, Manchester City v Tottenham and Everton v Liverpool in the same weekend as this game.

  8. On hindsight and all, some times I just wish Luiz was playing instead in situation like the second goal (IIRC) when WBA hit us on the break to score the goal. Cahill was backing off and off (as usual) with Sessegnon running at him and I know he probably can't go ahead and tackle in as there was someone running on the outside too especially with Ivanovic not in place but had Luiz been there, he may well have taken the risk, put a tackle in, win the ball and stop the counter attack (like he has done before).

  10. And funny thing is, someone was going around overreacting and overthinking everything about the Newcastle defeat last weekend but yet when others do it this weekend, they get slaughtered...
  11. But then why bring up a point that wasn't completely mentioned?!
  12. Yet again, the same old reason to excuse someone of their mistake. I'm sorry. Not buying into that. Should be doing better in trying to clear the ball away ASAP rather than doing what he did and cost us a goal.
  13. Since when I said it makes me clever? And ironic that you can say this when you basically go around this place and doing the same. That's also your opinion then. Each to their own on how they view Mourinho's comments.
  14. Aah yes. We are wrong and you are right. We are all obviously the silly and delusional ones.....
  15. Am I even saying that I want him out? No. All I'm basically saying his comments are rather nonsensical when the performances contradict what he said there. Don't have to get all worked up and jump to conclusions. This!
  16. If Spurs and City win tomorrow, we drop down to 6th. And if United beat Arsenal, they will only be 1 point behind us despite all the bashing they and Moyes have got this season...
  17. I'm surprised nobody mentioned anything about Long's goal regarding Terry. I mean what the heck was he (and even Lampard) doing there trying to just block off and let the ball drop and not aware of Shane Long behind him?!
  18. Chelsea produced 42 crosses today. FORTY TWO. Completed 5!
  19. Ivanovic has already picked up 4 yellow cards domestically this season. Get 1 more and he'll be suspended for 1 game. West Ham away next.
  20. This issue was already identified long ago by Fergie when we played United 4 years ago - http://www.zonalmarking.net/2009/11/08/chelsea-1-0-man-utd-the-positive-result-could-hide-chelseas-problems/. At least back then, Ivanovic can still produce quality crosses from time to time but now he's just rubbish!
  21. Seriously mate, whatever...the less said about you and your 'case' with Cech, the better.
