  1. A player way past his best. Doesn't count.
  2. OR alternatively, you could consider "Mourinho loves this player, he will never sell him". Ludicrous. Our collapse had to do more with the players becoming complacent and not competing strongly against Bradford. Nothing to do whatsoever with waving the white flag. If we wanted to do that, we wouldn't have scored those 2 goals begin with and heck, if Mourinho had no intention to progress further, he would have started with a lot more youth players and go to lose from there.
  3. Maybe it's just me but I find that his treatment of players since he returned hasn't been all that impressive really. "He blames who he wants. He blames who he wants."
  4. I'm sorry but that part there is a joke.
  5. Key word there - was. Clearly he didn't fancy Cole as much as he did in his previous spell here. As for Lampard, he didn't always play but still did a lot more than Cole.
  6. Daniel Sturridge in contention for Liverpool's Capital One Cup semi against Chelsea
  7. Manager or not, Mourinho is human after all and like all humans, sometimes we can let favoritism cloud our judgment or affect our way of thinking. Mourinho can be too stubborn or pragmatic for his own good.
  8. We all know Cahill has been poor and is average, but would like to take a positive spin on things for a moment. His back heel flick goal was quite brilliant. Great improvisation.
  9. Thing is though, Mourinho appears to have one set of rules for one group of players and another for the other group.
  10. The City-Boro highlights, if anyone is interested. Bamford got a goal and an assist. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4M_20kdt3Dw
  11. Have just seen the highlights and my god, the defending for all the 4 goals was truly abysmal and shambolic. Non-existent marking, no pressure on the ball, players caught ball watching. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYvheJE7rgE 1. Stead may have scored a good goal but Ramires was beaten far too easily when he attempted to close him down. Moreover, why wasn't there anyone else helping Ramires to put pressure on the ball? Mikel, especially, took ages to come out with everyone dropping so deep. 2. Everyone got sucked towards the ball and Morais was left completely unmarked at the far post with the goal at his mercy. The organization then was shocking! 3. Azpilicueta allowed the cross to come in so easily and then, where was the protection or defence in that D-area? Halliday just arrived out of nowhere and smashed the ball in. Who on earth was supposed to track him?! 4. This goal summed up the debacle that happened. We have 5 players back and only 2 Bradford players attacked and yet, we somehow allowed them to waltz through our defence to score. Everyone kept looking on the ball and not one bothered to track the run of Yeates, when he can clearly be seen running past few of the players but they didn't seem to notice him. Even a blind person could see that run and know what needs to be done!
  12. He is but he can't do everything by himself if the players out there on the pitch do not motivate themselves and stand up to be counted. Think we can all agree that there's a genuine concern about the lack of leaders in the team. Terry and Drogba aside, who else can we really consider to be a true leader? Those 2 aren't going to be around forever. If the others don't step up now, then I don't know when they will.
  13. Point. I don't trust Mourinho when it comes to integrating youth players from the academy in the first team. His record over the years have hardly been great.
  14. Clearly it has gotta do with the mental attitude, the concentration and discipline. The Bradford game today was a classic example of the players, arguably, switching off and not bothered to compete after going 2-0 up.
  15. Losing 5-3 to Spurs and 4-2 to Bradford in a month. The annual December slump came 4 weeks late...
  16. I'm sorry but that was nothing short of embarrassment. Had 2-0 lead and we completely imploded against a League One side at HOME. Mourinho said a defeat here would be a "disgrace" and he's definitely right. This is absolutely disgraceful. I don't care if that wasn't the best XI put out by Mourinho there. That team had tons of experience and should NOT be bottling up the 2-0 lead, especially when it was against a lesser opponent.
