Welcome to the club. Same case here with Mata and now Schurrle. If that's any indication, then Hazard will leave in the not too distant future.

That's what I was trying to say. Pretty sure when Oscar, Willian etc started out in the starting XI, they weren't always seen on the pitch. They had their off days too and yet were given opportunities to rectify that and get better. If we can give them the patience and time to improve their consistency and improve themselves, then why not to someone like Schurrle as well? Mind you, I'm not necessarily he should be starting ahead of Willian but certainly should be handed more playing time and if he proves himself, then who knows? But guess we won't know that now. Kinda running off the point here a little bit...

People are talking as if they can't improve defensively and if Schurrle was bad in that department, he wouldn't have got into the team so many times since he joined. If anything, they, arguably, just lack that bit of physical aggression.

Maybe but regardless of that, it's nonsensical to suggest that Willian isn't producing in the final third only because of Schurrle and Salah are around. If that's the case with Willian, then someone needs to have a word with him.

Doesn't mean they were right though. You forgot to mention that Ramires was out injured for quite some time. He wasn't benched for 2 months. Mind you, Schurrle, Salah etc haven't even moaned once despite getting limited game time (unlike some of our players in the past).

No offence but this 'truth' talk is kinda BS. Some other managers would have been less stubborn and given players more chances to prove themselves as opposed to just write them off when things go south. It's fine Mourinho has good relationship with the players but doesn't mean it's fine if he's letting them affect his management of the players. Mind you, if this situation was the way round, I would be saying the exact same thing.

He had a hat-trick against Fulham, a brace against Stoke, scored against PSG, Arsenal and Man City (twice) too. He is inconsistent but as if the likes of Oscar, Willian etc weren't and aren't. They have played poorly so many times and yet got so many opportunities to get into form, improve themselves and the consistency going. But Schurrle or even Salah? Hardly got enough of the privilege.

Pretty sure that is based on Schurrle's performances this season only. It's like all the good things he did for us last season never even existed. Not necessarily doubting you but one could easily turn around and say a similar thing, about how most people have suddenly turned into an expert on Cuadrado or Italian football for that matter in 2-3 weeks. If we have already agreed the fee and terms with Fiorentina (at least according to sources from Italy), then are we still playing hardball with Wolfsburg and even Dortmund over Schurrle? Seems like we're refusing to accept anything less than 25m pounds.
