  1. The Mata - Torres - Sturridge combination looks excellent. Torres just needs to keep at it, He was unlucky not to get a goal in the first half. Keep the faith.
  2. This will not be an easy games by any means, But its great to see Torres, Sturridge and Mata starting.
  3. Official Team Cech Bosingwa Ivanvoic Luiz Cole Meireles Mikel Malouda Sturridge Torres Mata
  4. To call Ballack a Chelsea legend is absoulote bollocks, The man came in and had 2 decent seasons, and became a liabillity then, In his last season he was dreadful, and he is most remembered at Chelsea for a double against Man United. If he is a Chelsea legend so is Deco, Del Horno, Kezman and Shaun Wright-Phillips!
  5. New Zeland will choke again I reckon, I can see Ireland having a great World Cup, think Kidneys playing mind games and could potenitally beat Austrailia to top the group.
  6. Bar Yossi, I don't think there'll be any activity from the transfer market. Seems that way.
  7. The fee between the two clubs I think! I have a sneaky feeling Modric will be annouced at about 12:30, with Kalou, Benayoun and Malouda leaving, with another 2 players coming in! Going to be a very interesting day!
  8. Anyone can score a penalty, If we're keeping him on the pitch to convert penaltys its a very sad state.
  9. Comparing Kalou to Mata is like comparing Susan Boyle to Pornhub when you need a wank!
  10. http://www.as.com/futbol/articulo/mata-jugara-chelsea/20110819dasdasftb_27/Tes Juan Mata will play at Chelsea next season. The London club and Valencia forces today resumed negotiations for the transfer and are on the verge of reaching an agreement by a figure close to 30 million euros. Kill himself has asked the President of Valencia, Manuel Llorente, who transferred if it considers that the figure provided by the Chelsea is satisfactory. The operation is not closed and still continue to be debated fringes, but no doubt by now that it is a matter of hours the sale of the player. The excanterano of Madrid is a special request of the coach of London, Andre Villas-Boas, the owner of the club, Roman Abramovich. He also asked the Tottenham signing Luka Modric organizer. Both Chelsea players could spend 70 million euros. Abramovich wanted to put players in the operation, but Valencia will only accept cash. Before Chelsea, Arsenal probed the player, but never made a concrete proposal to Valencia.
  11. Anyone that takes that number will have huge huge boots to fill.
  12. An open goal against Burnely aswell!
  13. With Nasri and Fabregas leaving, and if Wenger doesn't sign Cahill and Jagielka or two other good defenders, Arsenal will be lucky to get Europa League football next year. Van Rapist is always injured, Arshavin is always out of form and a player you just can't rely on, Walcott is light and gets bullied too easy, and their defence as it stands is Championship standard. I expect Udinese to dump them out of the Champions League too.
  14. 897086-368439 code for a head to head league, starts gameweek 2!
  15. You know its a shit journalist when he puts down John O'Shea for the talent of tomorrow!
  16. Great work mate, I thing if I may, is there a way to get the toolbar back at the bottom of the page? It was very handy for getting back into the main forum site. Other than that, Excellent work, Really adds to the forum.
  17. I still think AVB will make 3 or 4 signings that will effect the starting team next season. He'll probably go for the 4-3-3 he played at Porto, so... Cech Ivanvoic - Luiz - Terry - Cole Lampard - Mikel - Modric Sturridge - Torres/Drogba - Lukaku I know you see Sturridge and Lukaku out on wide positions, But I think it will be more of a case of playing as inside forwards. I can see Sturridge playing as a winger, Crossing the ball when he needs too, But also cutting inside and making runs when he needs too. He won't be wasted, Because him making dianongle runs across the way, with a player like Modric slipping in a through ball will be deadly, and if he gets in anyway behind the defence, He should have Torres, or a late Lampard run to aim for, or to have a shot himself. Lukaku on the left would be used as more as a supporting play for Torres, heading on flick on's, Getting on the end of attacks, and playing him there allows Torres to drop deep and support the midfield. I feel most of our width from the left hand side could come from Cole, Modric, or occasionaly Lukaku could whip one in with his left foot. Its all about the support play. Saying that, Its just an example of how to make it work. I do expect us to sign a pure winger, I'm not banking on Modric, I'm just using an example of a player that I think we'll sign because its desperatly needed. We also have players like Drogba, Anelka, Kalou, Kakuta and Benayoun to bring on as attacking options. Be patient. Rome wasn't built in a day.
