Enjoyable game for me tonight, Its not often lately that we see Chelsea with that much posesstion, and we used it tbf, We didn't have Lampard or Essien driving forward, Drogba still not back to his best. McEachran was poor I thought in the first half being honest, He gave away the ball too many times, One ridiclous pass where he completly underhit it and it went straight to the opposition springs to mind, But he really came into his own in the second half. He did exactly why I thought the holding role would suit him, He stayed behind, Sprayed the ball around, and was cool and composed. Drogba was always a presense tonight, He might not have done much on the ball throughout the game, But he was keeping the defenders busy and really created the room for Sturridge to work with. Ramires was decent in the second half, Hope to see more of the same. Bar the first goal Bruma was good and PvA could have been our man of the match, Reminded me of Ashley Cole, what a strike he hit! Sturridge was outstanding, I just wished sometimes he'd look up before lashing a shot. Only downside, Kakuta. He was poor. He hit one or two good balls but seemed out of his depth and afraid to take his man on like he does for the reserves. Hope this problem is addressed soon. Don't think anyone can really complain about the game, We were praying for our youngsters for sometime now, and with 5 of them in the side we beat the Slovakian Champions. Not much, buts its a start.

Great pace on the wings, Hopefully Kakuta and Sturridge show what there about, Kakuta was unfortunate that when he started against Marsielle all our attacks came down from the right hand side with him playing on the left, So this is his chance to shine. McEacharn will be playing the Holding role but thats no harm IMO, nothing says he can't attack and alot of the time he'll be in space to spread the ball around the place, Nice position to have in an easy game like this where he won't be pressed. Looking forward to the game, expect McEachran to be on the ball alot. KTBFFH

Don't see anything wrong with Josh in the holding role, He can get the ball and dicate the play. He can get forward aswell, But I think it will suit him, like the Pirlo role. Kakuta needs to take his man down the line and skin him.

Bounce back time, Hopefully the lads but Sunday behind them, lets be realistic Anfield is never an easy place to win if your a top club no matter where Liverpool are in the league. Perfect game tbh, I'd like to see Cech Bosingwa - Terry - Alex - Cole Ramieres - Mikel - Malouda Sturridge - Drogba - Kakuta Lets give Anelka and Zhirkov a rest, they had poor games on Sunday and its a good chance for Sturridge and Kakuta to establish them as potential first team starters. Onwards and Upwords, Carefree!

Tbf lads, We have been through a bad patch that every team will go through, If this is the end of it which I expect it is, We have taken 6 points from 9 out of it. Not bad. We had 65% of posession, I think this shows that we need a creative midfield player. I'm sorry but todays performances proves that Zhirkov should never be played in centre midfield, Kalou should be used as an Impact sub and Terry (not for the first time) is exposed for pace. But onwards and upwards.

Points are points, and i'll take that over the performance everytime. KTBFFH

Cry me a fucking river, People acutally have to book days off work and change flights etc because of these games, but your complaining because you don't get to watch them in bed. Spurs and United were always likely to be changed, But the atmosphere in the Emirates would be awesome at 8 on a sunday.

Midfield is vital today, They just weren't up to it against City last week. Essien and Mikel need to have big games.

Look I know he's young and all, but If Kalou was playing like Kakuta is now everyone would be slating him. Saying that I hope he gets into the game more in the second half when it opens up abit. Easy going now, Freak goal and in fairness the penalty probably wasn't a penalty, He was jumping up to block the ball, wasn't delibrate or anything.

Love European nights like this! Should be a win, Group stages not much pressure on the boys, decent opposition. Kakuta starting will make the game interesting. Hopefully he can do something with his chance
