  1. Mount and CHO have a wonderful understanding together.
  2. The difference is the level of expectation, especially from his home media. German Americans might be the largest ethnic group here, but we are 100% the child of England and everything that comes with it in terms of football. Every second of his time here has been covered by all of our media in a way not seen with an American player since Donovan was at Everton. Its a completely different ball game him being here. I do agree that this is probably his best opportunity, right now, to play here. I think if he gets gametime elsewhere he could easily come back here and be a starter. This would be in the future though. The loss wasnt down to him, but his performance was bad enough to get him subbed off after an hour. It was a bad managerial performance though....by a guy in over his head whose brother wont dare fire him.
  3. Of course people have a right to attack him, but anybody who watches his mentality and him play know hes not ready to play here. It was the summation of the expectation on him, and his inability to handle it. Plus it was the first time we had lost to Canada in multiple generations. Hard times are ahead here.
  4. He's similar in that he will be attacked, especially on here, if hes allowed to play when hes not ready. One need only look at last night, him crying on the bench when he was pulled after a poor display(only slightly better than his Cuban performance) shows that. If the fans get on his back here he will revert to a below average player, ands that helps nobody here.
  5. He began hiding. Thats why he was pulled. You hate to see it though because you could see his confidence crushed on the bench. Say what you want about Roldan, but he didnt hide when the going got tough. Same way Willian can come on for 10 or so minutes and look horrific, but you dont notice Pulisic for the 80 minutes before that. He has a habit of hiding that he will have to grow out of. A lot of younger people will have to get used to the fact that we just cant roll over other countries in this region anymore. The days of Beaseley,Donovan, and Dempsey spoiled us in that regard.
  6. The thing is you cant really drop Mount.
  7. To be fair though you and I both know how it is here. Kalou was at a level not much different than where Pulisic is now and he was slaughtered. Of course the entire level of the squad was much higher back then, but the point remains. Nobody wins if Pulisic is thrown out into the deep-end before hes ready.
  8. Lol how long have people been waiting for that? Willian is teflon. Wanted by Barcelona,Spuds, and all managers. Cross him at your own peril.
  9. lol Not any bigger of a laugh than thinking Pulisic is ready to play here
  10. He's captain America though. You'll hear stories about him constantly in ESPN because hes the face of the game here nationally. It would be like if Sterling or Kane were abroad not starting every game. It gets them clicks.
  11. Is it really more of an agenda other than every other press on earth? An American media outlet thinks that the best american player, who isnt good enough currently to play at the club hes at, should go to a place where he will get more consistent gametime. That is fair
  12. Minimum ban for any racial offences is 6 games Oh wow Welp, he only has himself to blame. It was a stupid post to make public, and he should know better.
  13. I thought he was just charged? Where did they say he was banned for 6 games?
  14. I'd wager theres a big difference in expectation, and the game, in the bundesliga from what he can expect here at this club though. Theres a reason there is apprehension in his play. We agree on him needing minutes, hence in a perfect world he would be loaned out to a place where he can learn the league and get his minutes in. Being one of the best US players has nothing to do with anything. The US is a side rebuilding from our golden generation, and a side who failed to qualify for the last world cup in a region where you dont even have to beat the decent sides to make the world cup at all. The US is no powerhouse in any sense for one of the best players from here being immune to being loaned out. We are a small football(men) nation despite what NBCSN and MLS marketing would lead the rest of the world to believe.
  15. The Media was always going to do this if he didnt play though because he's literally the face of the sport in a nation that produces a vast amount of Digital English press and has 300+ million people. The thing is I can love him as a player, and agree with the fact that he is NOT better than Willian or Pedro at this point. I reiterate in a perfect world we dont have the transfer ban and he gets a loan move to learn the league before honestly fighting for a starting spot here. He's just turned 21. He should be playing week in/week out for a mid table side right now learning his trade.
  16. Fantastic player. Looks to have lost a bit of his pace though. Hopefully its more of a matter of getting fit again, and not from him trying to bulk up.
