Its sad when you think of it though. Reece was our best attacking option yesterday and every time he bombed forward in open space Kai would fuck up a simple pass. All he had to do was get out of way and let him carry the attack to them and he couldnt even do that. What if it was Chilwell leading the attack. Would Kai stifle us again on lw?

Everybody taking Kai out of their line up when its certain he will play. Does he deserve to? No, but we dont have any options and he cost too much not to be out there.

The Basics is the key to it. Kai, even when he was playing well(which I suggest has only been 2, maybe 3, times this season) seems to struggle with the basics of play. He does something "Amazing" which makes people think a class player is there, and perhaps there is, but this guy shanks and misplaces basic passes with a consistency you wouldnt expect someone who costs as much as he did to do. The price is an issue. We spent "sure thing" money on potential.

Both were better than Kai although that isnt saying much anything

He was shiite today, but thats besides the point because hes been shiite plenty this season(although not as bad as today) The problem is what is his position? People say he can play winger but he CLEARLY cant. He looks awful playing it. Playing through the middle is a bigger question since hes so lazy. Mount having to play deeper than him to make up for his lazy strides makes Mount look worse. Can he play as a striker? What is he here for?

He's been living on his name for a LONG time. A real long time. In the best 11 He doesnt play if Pulisic is available. He doesnt play if Ziyech is available. He, just about plays if CHO is available. Without those 3 we have to put him out there and honestly it wasnt good enough and he hasnt been good enough most of this season.

If hes not fit he doesnt need to be playing. Drogba had the same issue with Malaria once. If the player isnt fit they shouldnt be playing. it hurts them and us in the long run.

Im sorry but when we have wingers available I dont see a place for Havertz in the starting 11
