-
Finally Torres off for BA
-
HAZARD!!!
-
JESUS CHRIST - SERVICE TO BLAME!
-
Time for a double sub Jose
-
Bring on Ba ffs
-
Sub off Torres at half time for Ba - I'm sure someone will blame service
-
I'm sure service is to blame for Torres miss hitting that
-
They currently play Pique up top whenever they are chasing a result in the second half - Lukaku would be an obvious upgrade to Pique when trying something different after plan A fails.

You should use transfermarket for these types of calculations since they count minutes in all competitions There you go: Torres - Minutes per Goal(166.4); Minutes per Goal/Assist(115) Ba - Minutes per Goal(136); Minutes per Goal/Assist(68) Eto'o - Minutes per Goal(203.25); Minutes per Goal/Assist(90.33) Rooney - Minutes per Goal(143.2); Minutes per Goal/Assist(57.28) RvP - Minutes per Goal(111); Minutes per Goal/Assist(92.5) Kun - Minutes per Goal(80.68); Minutes per Goal/Assist(49.65) Negredo - Minutes per Goal(91.84); Minutes per Goal/Assist(64.82) Giroud - Minutes per Goal(174.4); Minutes per Goal/Assist(116.26) Suarez - Minutes per Goal(89.77); Minutes per Goal/Assist(67.33) Sturridge - Minutes per Goal(108.54); Minutes per Goal/Assist(91.84) Lukaku - Minutes per Goal(109); Minutes per Goal/Assist(96.88) Remy - Minutes per Goal(103); Minutes per Goal/Assist(82.5) Basically Demba Ba is stastically our best striker but that's mainly due to how little he has played and the fact he was able to assist/score coming off the bench as a cameo. While Eto'o finishing hasn't been very good considering he has played quite a bit he was still pretty proactive overall considering the fact that he came to CFC unfit and semi retired. Torres is keeping his usual scoring rate over the last few years and thats mainly due to the weaker group we've had in the CL. Overall - all lack behind in terms of goal scoring compared to the main strikers in our rivals.
-
None of our strikers are as good as the ones Barbara mentioned. Our strikers would not be starting matches in any other top club on the continent - they would be at the very best squad players. They can be compared to players like Lambert; Soldado; Boni etc who are on a similar level but when compared with top players they pale in comparison. They lack the killer instinct; movement; capabilities that a top striker would have - even a young lad like Lukaku is miles better than them.
-
Why do people comment on players who they don't watch often enough. Anyone who has watched Falcao's close control and first touch know that those are some of his main strengths - no offense to Lewandowski he is a good striker but saying his first touch or dribbling is anywhere near Falcao is a blatant lie
-
Not really, if you feel that Torres has been one of our best attacking players at any time during his Chelsea career - there is no point in discussing anything with you. He would not get a game in any other top club in the continent - if that's our best attacking player we might as well be happy being mid table
-
Consistently below average?
-
He is miles better than any forward than we have at the club - Torres; Ba; Eto'o aren't Chelsea level central forwards
-
Neither is good enough to be a first choice striker at a club of our stature but there isn't much between em. I certainly would not laugh Chelsea's Ba is on a similar level to Chelsea's Torres. Both arent good enough. Either way great goal today and made the difference after coming on at half time.

Lampard should never play more than once a week, I wish Jose realizes this at some point during this season.

Our strikers don't do much and the main thing they don't do is score consistently - you can harp on about some ideal striker all you want but currently we have strikers who would struggle to get into the first eleven into the majority of top clubs around the continent. The day our strikers are doing more than just scoring goals you can use this argument to belittle Lukaku's achievement and scoring. The day Eto'o/Torres/Ba score two goals in a match where we should be losing but gain a point I don't doubt there would be plenty of posts about those players doing their job and talking about how our defense allowed the opposition to score a particular number of goals. Lukaku could have won all 3 points for Everton if he was clinical but Everton's defense is mainly at fault for allowing cheap goals from set pieces in a match where Lukaku and their midfield created enough chances and scored enough goals to win the game. So you're all being hypocrites by saying his performance was poor against Liverpool because Torres/Ba/Eto'o had had a performance like that that WON us a point even though they missed a few chances or misshit a pass you'd be treating it entirely different. Fact is that Jose's decision to loan him out is bad because the strikers we currently have are in no way superior at doing the main thing you want a striker to do - SCORE GOALS. If we had a striker scoring constantly than obviously it would have been a good move for both Lukaku and Chelsea, currently it's a good move only for Lukaku(with a small possibility that it might be good for us long term but looking at how we treated other young strikers I doubt it). In a season we didn't end up shelling out on a World Class striker like Cavani/Suarez/Rooney/Falcao it was the perfect time to give a chance to a lad who easily outscored Ba/Torres combined tally in League as an impact player at West Brom. For some reason we weren't even able to guarantee Lukaku a chance - which was what he deserved after his loan spell. I'm not even talking about starting lots of matches I'm talking about starting him in a match and seeing how he does. Instead we gave him a couple of sub appearances and despite Ba/Torres not doing much themselves we decided he is not better than them - which is fairly obvious a retarded decision.
-
Monaco won't be TAX FREE by next season, hence why all these rumours are popping out Apparently his wages will be cut in half due to the new tax which will effect Monaco if they want to keep playing in the French League. He is currently on a massive 250k pounds per week
-
Unless you haven't noticed he has been at the club for nearly 3 years. In order for Torres to buy himself some time he might want to score double digits of league goals in our remaining fixtures this season - something he seems to find hard to do even when playing the majority of our matches and that a lot of other strikers in the League are able to achieve by Christmas.
-
I'd rather imagine we never signed Torres in the first place - a strike force of Kalou and Anelka would have been more productive over the last 3 years.
-
You're embarrassing really - what do you think he was doing at West Brom last season he was scoring goals coming in and a sub. Do you even follow our loaned players or just make shit up as you go? Just because Jose is our manager doesn't mean his decisions are always right - so far Lukaku is proving him wrong on the field
