  1. I am of a strong opinion that Mikel should be sold as early as possible and these are the reasons: 1. He has not improve since he joined the club about 8 years ago, despite having chance upon chance under different managers. Any other club would have sold him long ago. 2. There is a negative observation i have made about all Mikel's competitions within the team, and that observation is that, the players who seem to compete with him for play time strangely pick up long term injuries. Essien had two long term injuries, Romeo sidelined just as he was being picked regularly and MVG had his in his first season. If Mikel stays we shall have another injury to one of the midfielders, and that is how he get his playing time. You may think this is hilarious, but my friends, don't underestimate the ancient African "ways and means" of doing things

  3. well, Jose had the whole season to correct this but failed miserably. It seems he has no clue how to go about it. I was watching the game and all i could see in the second half ( even with two strikers on the field ) was Chelsea playing the ball outside the box constantly. A different coach would instruct the boys to play small intricate passes into the opponent's penalty area to increase the chances scoring or getting a penalty.
  4. Really i am wondering what Jose is telling the boys at trainings. Our problems with small teams were evident since the beginning of the season, and one would expect the team have solutions to these by December. Instead, we seem to get confused whenever a team parks the bus. This makes you wonder whether the coach is not placing emphasis on ball skill, ball handling and goal scoring. Also, our midfielders seem to hold on to the ball far too long and helps opponent's to re-organize ( compared to liverpool midfield that quickly release ball to the strikers in the penalty box). Ramires under Di Matteo and Rafa was very exciting to watch, suddenly he has forgotten basic ball control skills.
  5. Solution: stop playing Lampard in the central mid. He creates nothing for the attackers
  6. There can be no excuse for this defeat because Rafa use the same boys during the second half of last season and managed to win the EL and finished strongly on the league table. Jose is just not using the boys well.
  7. He has been lying since the beginning of pre-season. He has not fulfill the numerous promises he made to the players and the fans. He promised to play Lampard sparingly, promised Lukaku and KDB first team action. He cannot be trusted on whatever he says.
  8. I really have some doubt about Mou. He claims he will develop the youth system but i don't trust him to do that, and the reason is he has contracted himself several times since taking over from Rafa: 1. He said Rooney or bust but later said he has plan b and c 2. he said Lampard will be used sparingly, but it seems he is gonna play 90 mins of every game (though he the weakest ling in the team 2 He promised a beautiful football but all we see is defensive strategy. We did not create any chance in this game against a team we dominated all year round last season under Fergie.
  9. The dissatisfaction comes from the fact that, Chelsea under Di Matteo and Rafa played the same united team last season on several occasion and dominated them in all the fixtures (even though we had much thinner and exhausted squad). To be honest, i don't see Mou maximising the attactkng potential of this team and we have already seen it this game and two previous ones.

  11. unfortunately, that is very true. He has never ever recover from behind to make a tackle
  12. In Mereiles and Essien we had players who can shoot from long range when the going gets tough for the forwards and we let them go. RDM is playing mikel and he cannot shoot, sprint, or defend effectively. Watch mikel play carefully and you will see that he has never recover a ball after loosing possession or after being beaten.
  13. The problem we have here is depth. Prior to the season, i thought we had the best squad in the league until Debryune, Essien, Mchearan and Lukaku were loaned out. The squad now look thin and we are forced to play at least two of our three play-makers in every game. We also have to feature Torres all the time. Remember we are playing two game per week and if you factor in travelling to away games, it is obvious that key players are getting tired. If possible, we need to recall some the on-loan players in January.
  14. And do not forget that he is the least honourable high figure in the game of football. I thought knights are men of integrity. May as well drop the "Sir" title.
  15. When Fergie said Manu cannot afford to loose this game i knew he was sending a message to the FA.
  16. It looks like someone in the Chelsea management is on drugs. 1. Seems the team just loan players out without any plan. It is just not wise to be playing Bertrand in the attack during crucial games when Debruyne could have easily play that role perfectly. 2. Why loan Essien and Bena when these guys are not getting younger. Are we going to use them when they are in their 30s? If you do not need them, then why not sell them. By the way, what better qualities RDM sees in mikel that everyone fails to see. 3. Why always Lampard instead of Oscar or Mecharean? why should we loan a talented youngster to another team when he can perform better than others. Macheran would easily be a regular in the Arsenal team. 4. God forbid, if torres is injured we have only danny as a striker. No serious team wins with only a striker in the squad. Were Hulk, Schurle and Cavani the only strikers in Europe during the transfer period?
  17. Honestly guys, don't you think Chelsea need to let Lampard go? He has done the club a great service and he will forever be a legend to the fans. Currently, his presence is a hinderance to the new direction the team is trying to go. To me he more after personal glory than the progress of the new and upcoming talents. For example, i was expecting him to let Torres take the penalty as a way of boosting his goal scoring confidence but that did not happen, and even RDM should have know that and instructed Torres to be taking the penalties. I stand to be corrected.
  18. I am saying this, and will say it again, RDM is not the right person for attacking football. With all these exciting new players we have we still can't put three to four passes together. It is absolutely worrying to see Chelsea play like this against Wigan, which means we may pack the bus against tougher opposition.
  19. It is really irritating to see our defenders touching the ball more than the attackers whenever we are in possession
  20. In my humble opinion, if we fail to do well this season, then is because of RDM's weak technical abilities
  21. I know he is not with the club, but i am questioning the wisdom behind his loan move
  22. Have u guys realized since we scored we have made any incursions in the Wigan's 18 yard box?
  23. How o earth do you lone out DeBryune, an attacking player who was part of his former team's CL first eleven, only to player Bertran, a defender on attacking left.
  24. I must be honest, playing Mikel in the defensive midfield will be the downfall of RDM this season. Mikel was fantastic when RDM tok over last season because most the game plan was more of soaking pressure and counter attack. If we intend to play attacking game this time, then Mikel has nothing to offer. He cannot hold on to the ball and control the tempo of the game, he does not move the ball quickly to the attacking mids, and he does looses the ball quickly when pressed. He does not provide power in the midfield. in football, if your defensive mid is weak, your team becomes ineffective both in attack and defense.
  25. Mikel did well under rdm bcos the team was mostly defensive, and relied on counter for goal. If we are shifting into attacking game this season then mikel is a round peg in a square whole. His attacking instincts are lacking, he does not move the ball quickly to the attacking mids, and he does not shoot on goals when necessary.
