No, some winger can certainly do both side. But not all of them are good at bringing the ball up and make run behind. Take Puli and Willian for example. I think Willian didn't make run behind enough but his ability to protect the ball and bring it forward is far better than Puli. Puli on the other hand is too weak right now but he is lightning quick and make excellent run behind. Player are also affected by playing on right or the left. On the right he won't be as aggressive/direct as playing on the left. He will shoot more on the left and cross more on the right. I think he was playing both time (Salzburg n pool) on the left hand side. I don't know about mount in 3 man midfield but 4231 suit him perfectly. It is going to be fun though ,because although we have so many brilliant youngster I don't know whether all of them will fit into a balance starting 11.

The problem in instanbul and against Salzburg he was playing high making run behind on the left hand side. If you want him to do that, you have to drop Mount. Mount is lamp favorite so not going to happen.

And that is not exactly a good thing. You need to rotate but you can't rotate too much because you want to build relationships between player.

For me, Pulisic problem in epl has nothing to do with mental. It is simply physical. He is too weak right now, just watch salah and mane. They can shield the ball with their body easily. That is what it take to be top winger in epl.

Need to be careful saying this. Right now it is easy, no pressure,no expectation. We lost few games. No problem. We concede pretty much every game still no problem. We lost easy points, no problem. Once this team is asked to win, then the game really start. Question will be asked on the player and the manager.

I think so far clearly mount has produced. The question is what happen when CHO is back n firing. He is clearly lamp favorite so I don't see lamp dropping him. Not really,Willian don't have much future with us but he is our best winger right now. Maybe Cho will surpass him but we'll see, I don't want us to rush him. Archiless is nasty. I absolutely agree that Pulisic should play more. But pulisic is not ready for epl. It is too easy to disposes him physically, so it is better for him to use his speed by playing up high and make run behind. Then it all come down to your midfield and front setup. Two runner (Mount, Pedro, Puli), maybe play Giroud. If you want to play Tammy and two runner, then our midfield need to win the midfield without forward help.

You just don't like Willian. 😄😄 For me in our current setup I like Willian. He is not very direct and good dribller which mean less turnover and it help with moving the forward. I think michy and and Mount late chances both came from Willian crossfield passes to Alonso. I maybe wrong, but I remember there is one he hit with his left foot. You want both winger that make more run behind, that is fine. Then you need your striker to drop more, play more like a target man. So Tammy need to drop more and play like Giroud. Just watch pool, sometimes salah will drop deep and feed firmino but the majority of the time salah will make run behind and firmino will drop deep.

I don't think they play kids. I only saw Mctominay and James. Both look decent. They are just a bit odd. They have no threat whatsoever coming from the right. They played James who is not effective on the right supported by defensive rb in awb.

Not surprised that United lost. I watched 3 united games this season (1 against us). They looked good defensively, but the only guy who can create in this team is pogba. Once he is injured, they are pretty much screwed.

After watching the game on my recording , I thought we played quite well. In the 1st half Willian need to drop more, one time he drop he beat his marker and off we go. Mount looked ok but maybe not 100%, should have played Puli and ask him to run behind Alexander Arnold who is not a good defender. Jorginho is not suited for this team. We need better holder. But he is the only one in our team who is savy with referee. This is one of our problem, sometimes I feel like our team is too honest. Tomori looked very2 good. Zouma also looked good defensively but on the ball he is just so bad. Tammy need to improve his stamina. You can't get tired that easy if you want to be no 1 striker for title contending team.

I don't know whether Klopp has changed or this is his plan all along. But his team is now more controlled, it used to be just high press after high press. Btw if you play Mount as midfield three, may as well drop him. He is much better playing high close to striker.

This. I careless about us losing against pool. But we are conceding against set pieces again n again. That is a major concern. 3 games in a row we concede goals from set pieces. That is on frank. In term of conceding chances. Hopefully next summer we can sign somebody like fabinho, Fernandinho or matic. That is what we need not CB. Play RLC/kova - holder - kante. And we will dominate most midfield.

I think you want somebody who make run behind. That mean you have to drop mount otherwise it is going to be very imbalance. At the same time, Mount has produced and at this point he is kinda lamp favorite player so it is difficult. If you play him over Willian, and he keep making run behind, somebody need to drop. Tammy is a striker, Mount will be ineffective deeper. So he will drop and play Willian role

Contrary to popular belief, Pep is a very2 rigid manager. His team playing like robot, so when KDB and Bernardo silva playing at the same side (They won't occupy the same space if one is playing on the left and one on the right) and when Bernardo is asked to play on the wing, he will stay wide as possible and it allow KDB to play inside. So no they don't occupy the same space.

Jorginho is bad at transition defense and water is wet. I honestly want frank to try kante as holder
