I completely agree that willian is not a RWB. I can see him playing as RWB but honestly he is a winger. Both him and Hazard want the ball on their feet and they rarely make off the ball run.

My problem is not his potential. He has massive potential. That is obvious. The problem is last year he was very good but in the end he became a bit overrated. It showed in the end of year when he was a starter. So like you said if he fulfill his potential then it's 100 m saved. But will he? We'll see. His injury was a shame though. .

No way anyone would have paid CHO 120 m last season. If Bayern gave us 80 m, we would have move him. CHO was excellent but he was excellent mostly in europa league. At the end of the season when he finally was astarter in epl, I don't think he was better than Pedro or Willian.

It is similar to Moses. If you play him as RWB he should be able to cope to some degree, but as rb no way. Willian is our best winger right now and that is not just my opinion, it is also lamp's.

Just watch how salah is being used by pool. He is pretty much a right forward/striker. That is his best role. In order to fit Salah and Hazard together you need salah to be wc and have a very hard working CF with hard working mid to compensate. Was Salah wc when he was here? Nope.

I blame Mou for kdb. I can see many way to incorporate kdb to our team. Salah not so much, you simply can't fit hazard and Salah together.

You don't have to play back 5,if you play a good defensive winger as lw and have a very good defensive right back. So Alonso can play almost like a wb. That what I mean by compensate. Or if you play opp that have very little threat from their rw. With Emerson you don't need to compensate but he offer very little in both. Your Stat is pretty much on team Alonso. He has same goal and assist as Chilwell with half of his minute. I don't even need to look at stat to compare Alonso vs Emerson. It is pretty clear this season.

I kinda agree that for backup Emerson is the better choice. Not because of he will provide competition but because he is just ok at everything hence it is easier to use him as backup. But if our new lb is not a nailed down starter material, I much rather have Alonso. With Alonso you need to compensate but at least with Alonso you get contribution offensively. Now that Emerson has played regularly, I can safely say that it is not even close.

Finally got to watch the game and Willian was playing as left wing. So if you play Willian at his best position he produce. With Willian, it is very simple. He is not world class but he is very2 good

I watched them 3/4 times early in the season. That with pogba in the team. Like you said clueless.They created very little, which mean they need their forward to be super clinical. That can work when you have wc forward that are in their prime (aka pool situation) otherwise you are screwed.

They can't create anything against deep defense. No between the line player. No creative midfielder. No excellent attacking fb. No target man. I don't understand what Ole was thinking before season start.

I watched pepe a couple time early in this season. He didn't look good but lively. However, this arsenal offense looked so dull, they need a bit of excitement. And now wonder David Luiz is undroppable for them, most of their good offensive moment start from him.

I don't think Sarri or Conte were unhappy with Pedro, Alonso or Giroud. Barkley is whole another storey but let's leave him be. Pedro is an absolutely fantastic role player, score goals, make tons of run behind, stable defensively, press hard. Giroud is arguably one of the best target man in Europe. Not many player has better link up play. Alonso may not be everyone cup of tea, but he offer height in both boxes, goal threat, passing. Offer far more than Emerson offensively. I don't hear Sarri or Conte wanting to move any of them. For me transfer market these days is really2 difficult especially with the inflated price. Yes sometimes you can find bargain like with pool with Robertson but most of the time it is 50m a player. I am just being realistic, we are not city who can spend 50/60 m on bench player, so it is important to find the right player.

What you are saying is that they are not nailed down starter, they are not exactly top level but they are part of our key rotation. This season they are simply not part of rotation. IMO purely from the quality that they can bring to football field , I can see many reason why they should be part of our plan this season. But for me it doesn't really matter. If they are not part of the plan, that is fine, as long as no more west ham where suddenly Giroud and Pedro start.

Why?? spurs didn't really play 4231,they play closer to 3241 offensively. Assuming Azpi as lb, he won't be facing moura one on one on the wing as Moura will tuck inside more and Aurier make tons of run behind. The biggest battle is whether pulisic or whoever play on the left win his battle. It is fine if he doesn't want to cover Aurier as long as we can cope with the cross in the middle and Pulisic need to produce on the other end.

So Mount should not start game. Who should start over him? You can't play kova and Kante every game.
