Gosh, now I have to defend Lamp. Lamp is perfectly fine. As long as we are not in danger of relegation and he play youngster he is doing a decent job. Just enjoy the ride, young manager, your team. So far, not so bad. I have criticised Frank quite a bit but I don't want him gone. I don't think he is ready to lead a contender and some of his decision is a bit of a head scratcher. But this season is all about our youngster especially the one from the academy. Next season is whole another ball game, depending on how much we spend I expect at least top 4 or title contention.

I won't comment on many on the name especially the one outside epl because I rarely watch any of them. VVD is almost complete and he cost 70m pound. Otamendi is absolutely awful defensively. Vertonghen and alderweied are excellent on the ball, but can spurs find their replacement, nope. United spent 80m for a player who is good on the ball dominant in the air and will absolutely got destroyed in our team because he is not fast. If Lamp want to continue playing expansive football like this without any true dm, we better play fast CB otherwise we are doomed. Imagine Jhon Terry or Gary Cahill playing in our team where they have to track runner and play one on one all night long outside the penalty box. So imo Zouma is perfectly fine. On the ball he look awkward simply because he has no left foot. Can you find better CB than Zouma on the market, for sure but for how much. If you think tomori and Rudiger are good than Zouma is perfectly fine as no 3 CB.

I'll be surprised if that is the problem. I think Mount performance has been fine. Mount strength is on his energy, pressing and movement (his chance from Jorginho pass). His passing and ball control is just ok. So if you ask him to break down tough defense, he will struggle

I have just finished watching the game, I don't think we played that bad. 1st half, it was so easy. We can get the ball between the line, Rudiger and zouma diagonal ball was excellent I don't like kova for willian , it mean kante is playing the highest midfield. Maybe against a very good team, but not against bournemouth. I want to see CHO come in for Mount and let puli play between the line.

So how do you get more clinical? Tammy goalscoring record is very good, Pulisic can be more clinical but how much more it depend on him. Willian certainly can be replaced with more clinical player but will his replacement provide defensive cover, pressing and ball retention that willian provide if not we will concede even more.

No way he will tell klopp you have zero. Are those player available, do they want to play backup? Yes backup not rotation player but backup because they won't start over Robertson unless Robertson is injured.

Against defensive team I absolutely agree, they looked awful. They have no midfield and no fullback and no between the line player but against team that will give them space behind, they are better. Rashford and martial are absolute terror on counter attacking situation. I will take Rashord + Martial over Tammy + Puli right now against team with space behind. Against City, you can see how easy we can run at their backline, we are just not that clinical. That is normal though, young frontline. I also agree that defensively they are better than us. I watched 3/4 of their games early in the season. They looked very solid.

He is perfectly fine. The problem is people think we are playing FM and we will sign a very good backup striker, a wc right winger, a wc left back, a wc CB, a backup rb as easy as that. In reality is not that simple, take Azpi position, let's say we just move Azpi next season, now we need a rb. What kind of rb that you want, do you want a tall one, a fast one, a good crosser, a good defender. Is he available? If so how much? Is he at the right age? Is he better than Azpi? Is he willing to play backup.

I don't think my expectation is high. Lamp has done very well in term of table position. He has far exceeded many people expectation while incorporating youth, that something that need to be praised. Having said that, Lamp game management and selection has been a bit questionable. Some of the problem that we have this season does not come because we have young team.

If you can play lcb in 3 man defense , you certainly can play as lcb in 2 man defense. Last year we had Luiz who is almost two footed, so it made sense for Rudi to be on the right. That work for a attacking player but defense is all about collective work, you don't select player to get the best out of certain player.

Let's assume that Christensen can only play on the right. It mean this season we have Zouma and Chris that can only play on the right with Tomori and Rudiger who both can certainly play on the left. I believe Rudiger played as LCB under Conte. So we have a complete set. Is it reasonable to think that Tomori will play all game, no way but he didn't play against villa so he need to play against West Ham. It doesn't matter whether he trusted Emerson or Alonso. It all depend on what he want from his left back. If he want better protection, play Azpi. Want height and goal threat play Alonso, want speed play Emerson. Of course a better lb will be great but we don't have one so it is up to the manager to decide and adjust his team accordingly. We won the league with Azpi as left back. In term of closing down the middle. That is just basic defending. Every team will always pack the middle until you can show that you are threat in the wide area.

Nah it is on Lamp. Zouma can't play as LCB,yet he is playing as LCB. Where the hell is Tomori. Watching Christensen defending the box is killing my eyes. Zouma spend his time starting our attack, yes Zouma. I thought this is what Christensen is supposed to be good at. I have no idea why play Azpi as left back against Everton.

Gosh blaming Azpi for his offensive performance when he is playing as left back is ridiculous. Zouma is perfectly fine. He has problem with with his positioning and defending channel all season long especially when he is asked to play as Lcb. Walcott chances was the same story as Norwich goal. So why is he playing as LCB is beyond me.

You can't have 4 wc cb. Pool does not have 4 vvd. Zouma is perfectly fine. I don't like Christensen because physically he is just not strong enough. Zouma can't play on the left, he is not comfortable with his left foot. I don't understand why play him on the left. Mount, Azpi are fine. Azpi will never provide anything offensively especially on the left. You play him there if you want a defender there.
