They were very lucky to land Robinho, he clearly wanted Chelsea, I still having had a look t their squad don't see them finishing in the top 6 TBH

I think once again we have to look at the positives, we still have the best squad, Drogba is returning and the players we did actually bring in seem to be top class and didn't cost a fortune. Im actually quite happy we didn't buy another player other than Robinho, we shouldnt just buy for the sake of it. We also got rid of a lot of dead wood. I can't say that there is one player in our squad I am not happy with

The sigining of Robinho is a big signing for them, but for once I have to agree with Ramon calderon, he did not go to Man City for sporting reasons. At the end he wanted Chelsea, they couldnt agree terms, I doubt Chelsa would have put up 32 mil for him, he is not worth that amount. Man City just happened to get lucky nd find the right player at the right time, cos after his little press conference there was no way he could ever play for Madrid again.

Well we actually have four players who can play at right back, Bosingwa, Ferreira, Belletti and Ivanovic. Plus then Essien if we absolutely desperate. Would rather Belletti went, we already have an attacking right back in Bosingwa and Paolo is more versatile, can play right or left, Ivanovic is dying to play so we should have just sold or loaned out Belletti cos he really is a surplus

Yes we do have a squad second to none, but we have a very very small squad if we are going to compete in four competitions don't you think? Only two recognised strikers? Problem is keep telling clubs to take it or leave it we will continually end up with nothing, just like Alves, just like Robinho!

Having followed this saga from day one I must admit I am absolutely gutted we didn't get him. I personally feel Madrid are disgusting behaving the way they have. Calderon is a hypocrate, as is Sepp Blatter who is obviously on their wage bill. They have ended up screwing themselves as they did not get Ronaldo and lost one of their best. That being said, Robinho is no Kaka, he has not set the world alight, but would have been a great player. Now he wont even be playing CL football, so much for wanting to be the best player in the world!!!! People must remember that Malouda is an experienced world cup finalist who has won numerous French leauge titles. He also brings something different to the table as an out-and-out left winger. So he really does have more to offer than Shaun
