Statistics beg to differ. In order to consider a team considerably better than the others they need to achieve something... Frankly, I don't remember the last time Real were in a CL final (2001?). Their recent achievements top with being runners-up to Barca in the league. They are a squad of outstanding individuals (as the FIFPro team proves).. but as a team, they're yet to prove themselves. However, with Mourinho being given time, I can see them tasting success again soon - I can't see him and Ronaldo being titelless for too long.

I thought of it too, yes. It only highlights the lack of geling (harmony?) in our squad, players don't understand eachother and even the manager doesn't understand the players fully yet. What the fuck am I reading? Who gives a shit how much we get for him? For all I care, we can pay the club to take him off... The real worth in that transfer would be the free spot in the squad and saving big amount of money on his wages, and no more frustration seeing him play. ANY kind of transfer fee should be considered a bonus, taking into count that he's almost out of contract anyway.

Well, in some ways we are replicating last January transfer window. We will sign a CB (Cahill -> Luiz in Jan) and an attacking player (Torres in Jan). The big difference hopefully being the club having learned not to overpay - which is probably why we won't go after top-quality (read: famous. If we paid 50 for Torres, then now clubs will ask 1 billion for anybody able to score once in a while). Being cup-tied is the least of problems.
