  1. I think part of the problem with the game vs QPR is that both the team and the fans didn't really see it as a derby game. Their players and fans did. Lets face it while we'll always have a big rivalry Tottenham, but they'll always hate Arsenal more. If QPR want a proper West London derby with us, lets give it to them. I hope our fans really turn up with they come back to the Bridge later in the season. Lets face it their fans aren't soft like Fulham's and if they stay in the PL, they'll be giving it large everytime we go to Loftus Road. Starting next Saturday. I hope our fans turn up and give it some and our players stand up and are counted.
  2. Sorry I don't understand that question.
  3. 3 miles can be North London! Easily. 3 miles can be outside of London. It won't go on that long. I bet it will be sorted before the end of year. Fair enough if you do. I don't think you've understood where 3 miles can take us though. 3 miles is too far. .They can, but you think that's right? Also they can't use all the morally wrong tactics they like or it will look bad and damage the clubs reputation. .Very few honestly, Don't just believe what you read on the forums. Most of the shareholders are reasonable long term fans and adults. The no at any cost posters are usually kids. I'd say 90% of the NO voters just want more information and a say and the new stadium design and location. Regardless of the CPO, I think any clubs fans should get a say in what a new stadium would be like. It's usually a once in a century thing to move stadium. No fans wants to run the club, but we deserve an opinion on something like a new stadium. I think the majority are very grateful to Roman and we trust him a lot. Me personally I trust him a lot, but 100%. No. I think that's foolish. Where? I'm sure he didn't. Again I'm 99% sure he didn't, and that's the point these are the things we want to negotiate. Insulting NO voters like that and just thinking the only reason people have voted NO is because they don't trust Roman and they don't want to move from SB, shows me you don't understand the situation. No. The club had debts of around 60-80 million pounds. The debt could not have been paid in time if we had continued as we were. However the club had many players on expensive contracts we could have sold and assets like the hotel etc. That could have sold. The club would have slipped out of the top 4 and down the table. However the club would not have folded.
  4. Wrong. Not once did they even try to consider fans opinion either. Yeah because it could in North London. Just because it doesn't matter to you in India it does matter to the ones that do go to the stadium. Haha. Chelsea have the right to use morally wrong, underhand tactics because we want more information before we sell something WE OWN. People PAID for shares in that company. That's how business works and Roman knows that better than anyone. That comment is absolutely laughable. Do you 100% trust any other people you don't know? Oh dear.
  5. They're not going to knock down or expand the Bridge. It's not possible to expand SB by more than a few thousand and it would probably be very expensive just to do that. The club want to move.
  6. That ground above would be an abomination. As someone said the interview with Cundy hints to me that the club may be looking to take action on this very soon. We all know we get things done very discreetly and quickly at Chelsea these days,.
  7. I like many things about him, but the thing that I like most about him is his passion. It's definitely rubbing off on the players, but I hope it's rubs off on the fans a bit more. It's been very flat at the Bridge this season, even though we've got plenty to be positive about.
  8. In my opinion Bosingwa is has been at a disadvantage on the pitch for a long time. Last year he got absolutely no help from the the right sided forward which was either Kalou or Anelka, and considering Anelka was playing some deep slightly right sided but basically central role that he made up, and Carlo should never have let him play, he was expected to provide all the width, do all the attacking and defending on the right, I think he did well. It's his attacking i've been disappointed with this season. His crossing has been shocking and he's been too tentative in taking on his man. Which is unfortunate, because when he tries to take on opposition players, he's often very good at it. I'm glad someone highlighted the lack of good Full-backs in the game, because i've always though it's the position with the least amount of world class players. Infact, I would say their aren't much more than 5 world class full-backs. Luckily for us, we have one. I hope Sturridge manages to secure his place on the right and takes the pressure off Bosingwa. Cole's work load has been lightened massively by the signing of Mata and it's showed in his play. Cole's much more safe in possession and picks his moments to get forward. Where as Bosingwa basically has to, or there is no outball on the right, making the formation lopsided. Please can we stop wanting to make rash decisions like sell our players, whenever they're not playing amazingly. All players go through spells where they aren't playing amazing every game. But Bosingwa has by no means been terrible.
  9. Yeah, more than likely. I'm just saying what I would do. Frank will have to get used to playing a more reserved role if he wants to prolong his career though.
  10. Would he be quick/sharp/adventurous enough though?
  11. I disagree. I think Lamps is good at tackling. I wouldn't ask him to play a similar role or be that defensive. I want him to play there because I feel we need to take the game to United and I don't think trying to contain United and being defensive will be enough. Obviously Mikel is far superior defensively. I just think if Lampard played deeper and got more time on the ball, we would see an awesome range of passes from him.
  12. I dont want to talk too much about United. We all know that Rooney is the dangerman. He's the most talented English footballer I've ever seen. There's not much he can't do. If we were really able to contain him we would give ourselves a real chance of winning the game, but they will have at least two other fast, skillful forwards playing with freedom upfront. One this is for sure United will give it 100%. Carrick is a weak link in my opinion we need to pressure him massively. If he doesn't have time he crumbles. A lot of people talking about the Benfica performance last night and I think it's very valid. I think there were 3 reasons they were able to perform so well. They are used to winning. They have a winners mentality and they were not going to let United turn up and walk all over them. We have this. Second, they had the players technically capable and fast enough to hit United hard on the counter. Do we have enough of these players? In my opinion were probably missing at least one in midfield, and unfortunately Modric would have helped massively. But most importantly they closed United down relentlessly. Their work ethic was spot on. They didn't let them play their football. I thought United started the game in exactly the same fashion as most of their games this season. But after 10 minutes Benfica decided they weren't going to sit back and let United play their football and this shocked United and they lost confidence on the ball. They eventually abandoned trying to play football in the first half and decided to go long to Rooney. Do we have the players to do this? Anybody has the players to do this. It's just having the bravery and fitness to do it. We're starting to see more pressing of the ball under AVB. Compare this to Ancelotti's Chelsea where the players were too positionally disciplined, which is why we saw very slow football lacking any sort of creativity for the most part. AVB has talked about playing without fear and were going to need to do this with and without the ball. I would love Drogba to be available to lead this from the front, but unfortunately he won't be so AVB needs to demand that Torres works hard without the ball. I'm not saying these tactics will win us the game. I still believe they will have a few more moments of real quality than us and lets face it they are likely to be much more clinical than us. I just think that other than an ultra defensive performance these are the best tactics to employ and lets face it, were not going to do that. Go there to win. Go hard or go home. -----------Cech Bosingwa-Luiz-Terry-Cole --------Lampard---------- Meireles-----Ramires Sturridge-Torres-Mata I've gone for Lampard holding over Mikel, as although I rate Mikel in certain situations, I don't think he has the required intensity for this game, so I've gone for Lampard holding to move the ball quickly and to allow him more time on the ball. I also think Lampard is good defensively. Meireles as 'playmaker' and Ramires as the ballcarrier/winner and for his all round explosiveness. Sturridge needs to really get at Evra and he'll have the chance to because Nani is unlikely to trackback much. He's the danger man for me. Mata just needs to keep doing what he's doing. Torres NEEDS to work hard. There will be no use whatsoever of him getting frustrated if a run doesn't get spotted or United's defence shuts him down. He needs to give it his all from the start. I'm backing him to do it. I think the stick he's going to get at OT will fire him up. We need to go all out for the win. I'd take a draw. It's the only game of the season I ever would but we can beat them. They aren't that good unless you let them play. 2-1 Chelsea. Ramires, Mata. And for anyone who's making the journey up for OT, sing loud, sing proud. The atmosphere in the way end is usually incredible.
