  1. Not too upset to see him go, for the best of his career. Good luck to him at Villa, and a cracking bit of business as well. Cheers for being solid when we needed you, Stevie, and thanks for that cracker against Hull!
  2. Its not low ambition that made him sign for Spurs, its intelligence. He will get regular football guaranteed at Tottenham, he wouldn't be playing every week if he joined us.
  3. No doubt, I love all of our players no matter how well or poorly they do for us. Mourinho for me is the best manager in the world and Chelsea fans will always remember him for the success he brought to the club. Nonetheless, we all have to move on, and hopefully under Scolari, we can go one better and win that bastard European Cup!
  4. Plus we have many Africans playing for us who will surely give the club a glowing reference.
  5. All three would be excellent, but I'd take Ronaldinho over the others.
  6. He plays for Lyon, so que a little biography from me £11 million for Ben Arfa is a steal. He is fully experienced in the Champions League and can play in any of three positions - central attacking midfield, on the wings and as a second striker. He is an excellent dribbler of the ball and has a wicked delivery from set pieces, and to cap it all, he is only 21.
  7. If we can get Deco for a cut price, then it is an excellent acquisition, no doubt.
  8. That way we won't be having as many midweek matches.
  9. I don't. Mourinho was a great manager but his era has ended.
  10. "I'm sure I saw him in an Arsenal shirt five years ago..."
  11. Michael Ballack... what a goal!
  12. Hindsight is a beautiful thing, isn't it? But if you look at it, Grant came so close to a treble last season, hopefully Scolari can go one better and win something.
  13. No doubting he is a good, inventive player, but I'd take Lampard and Balley over Dicko any day of the week.
  14. He was behind Duff and Robben in 2005, he's developed as a player since then. He got into the team ahead of both of them the following season and he is more of a playmaker who operates out wide than an out and out winger anyway.
  15. Its clear Abramovich wants instant success, and instant success means changing manager every few years I guess.
  16. Yes, he is very tenacious, much like Cole. If he is as good as Ashley Cole is for us, then we've definitely landed a top player.
  17. Well we just have to take each game seriously and as it comes. I think we will win the league next season after coming so close last year.
  18. Finishing away is much more difficult IMO, because the home team always tends to perform well on the last day of a season. We really need to up our game at home this season, we need to stop fearing big teams ruining our home record and just play our football. I'd rather finish up the season with United's record at home last season than our's - they won 17, drew 1 and lost 1 - we won 12 and drew 7.
  19. Well apparently Scolari likes playing youngsters, so I wouldn't rule the young players out completely.
  20. No season is easy, but the way we seem to have blocks of tough opposition within the space of a couple of months means one thing only - we get blocks of easier matches as well.
