  1. I'd like to see a front three of Drogba down the centre, Anelka on one wing and Kalou on the other.
  2. I forgot about the title the day José Mourinho left.
  3. He is more of a striker than a winger though he has been played on the wing to good effect by Lyon. But Benzema is the more promising of the pair
  4. He is a good player with a bright future ahead of him so we should snap him up immediately. He is going to be the long-term successor to Lampard and the sooner we snap him up before either one of Milan clubs or Madrid get him or his price doubles.
  5. Whatever you say, I can understand what Grant is saying. Its obvious we are proud of the record at home and we obviously don't want to lose it - so we are playing more defensive at home and being more cautious when playing the bigger teams. This is going to cost us eventually.
  6. Outs: Sidwell - either on loan or in a permanent deal, he wasn't good enough when we needed him to play bar a few solid games and he won't be good enough when we have Essien and Mikel back and playing regular football. Ferreira - I don't want him to go as he has done a good job ever since he arrived, but since 06/07 he has not quite been good enough. I think this is a confidence issue because he was statistically the best full-back in Europe in 2005 and the best right-back in the EPL the following season. Pizarro - I can see him going to another PL club such as Wigan or Blackburn, where he will get a good run and probably net a dozen goals a season. Good luck to him Sinclair, Stoch, Sahar, di Santo - I can see these four as prime candidates to go away on loan at various points in the season, possibly to lower-region EPL clubs. INs Karim Benzema - no introduction necessary. Daniel Alves - the missing piece in our puzzle and at the moment the only player in Europe I would swap Belletti for. Problem is is that Jules is getting old and has only a couple moe seasons left in him, I think. David Villa - I can see him coming to Chelsea whether or not we need him to. Bbut I wouldn't complain rotating between Shevchenko, Drogba, Anelka, Benzema and Villa.
  7. As Fulham Broadway correctly points ouot, this is not a racist debate nor has it ever intentionally been so. It is a topic to discuss to differences between Jose Mourinho and Avram Grant since the latter met the same record set by the former.
  8. Ash is a brilliant player but his body language just shouts out 'I can't be arsed.' Bridge is the more committed, I can see Ash leaving for Barca or some club where he can join the egos.
  9. Would you rather have gone out for the win only for us to lose the unbeaten record, or got a point out of the game?
  10. Jurgen Klinnsman got the Germany job without having much experience. He did pretty well. Can Grant prove us wrong? Lets wait till we get to the end of the season, analyse our trophy haul and see how well he did in hindsight.
  11. Our position is possibly as desirable as Arsenal's at the moment. The pressure is on them to keep playing well and obtaining results whilst two class clubs are ever breathing down their neck. One mistake from Arsenal and United cut their lead to two points, then it becomes even more interesting. If we notch two wins against the pair of them at the Bridge, I can see us lifting the title. But two wins against Arsenal and United is a big ask.
  12. Essentially, this is a load of crap trying to turn Chelsea fans against Mikel.
  13. Or not. Mourinho's system works and Grant knows that. He isn't stupid enough to change it and isn't clever enough to figure out a working, attacking formula.
  14. My dad likes reading the interviews, which is the only reason we get it I suppose.
  15. Arsenal's entire squad needed time to recover after their national team lost to Spain.
  16. Kenyon's plan is working, we are making a lot of money per annum. His five year theory seemed crazy but he obviously knows what he is doing.
  17. No it did work, but not to the level that Chelsea fans expected. Hence the backlash on Ballack. Now he has come through and shown his worth and immediately people want two players who haven't played together for 10 months to be banging away goals and creating opportunities here, there and everyone.
  18. I have a feeling Grant will play the strongest team he can, and because this is the FA Cup I can't blame him. I can see Maka, Cech, Ballack and Riccy possibly getting a rest, but Lampard, Mikel, Essien, Kalou and Drogba need some playing time. I'd like to see Carlo given 90 minutes as well.

  20. Arsenal will crumble, every team has a blip. It depends just how big their blip is...
  21. I don't think that is strictly true. Whilst it may be, Grant does have enough brains to realise what Mourinho did worked, and he didn't want to make drastic changes to the squad and/or the way we play in mid-season.
  22. In La Liga, yes. But in England he has 18 goals in his debut season and could easily get a dozen more.
