  1. I think we need a young striker, and as TB says, two natural wingers. Schweinsteiger would be ideal as he would come on a free during the summer, and another player I would like to see here perhaps would be Ashley Young, but I don't think that would happen to be honest.
  2. If he doesn't leave then he will surely play out his contract and leave on a free. Personally I'd rather sell him and get as much money as possible.
  3. I agree with you mate. We're just going through a blip at the moment, things will pick up
  4. Laylabelle, you forget, we're away
  5. I'm hoping a 4-0 backlash followed by consecutive wins at home against Cluj and Roma. November has been a dreadful month - I hope that's our 'blip' for the season because we can ill afford another.
  6. A bit drastic, TB. I'm not his greatest fan at the moment but we were all saying this of Grant about him not winning the big matches, then we went and stuffed Arsenal, United, Liverpool and Newcastle in the space of 2 or 3 weeks.
  7. I'm certain we'll win. Just a tricky period for us at home - we've wobbled after taking a shock to the system after losing to Liverpool and we've had a couple of hard games since against decent teams. It only takes a win or two and the confidence will be back. The good thing is we've played Villa, United, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool all at home, and whilst we've only got five points from those matches, the games ahead should be easier.
  8. Bolton Wanderers vs Chelsea F.C. In-form Bolton host a Chelsea side struggling for form at the Reebok on Saturday. Bolton have won four of their last six matches, including an impressive 4-1 demolition of Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. Chelsea, on the other hand, have struggled of late, winning only twice in their last six games, including two defeats at the hands of Burnley and Arsenal. Can the Blues make it eight wins from eight away from home, or will their struggling form finally catch up with them up north? Match chat here.
  9. Fuck Plan B, we don't even have a Plan A! We've slowly gone downhill since the Liverpool game. Okay, we were unfortunate to lose that match but we were second best all game. We went out and stuffed Hull and Sunderland, before losing 3-1 to Roma. That's when the cracks started to appear. In the six games since, we've won 2, drew 2 and lost 2. That's relegation form if you ask me. We best have a faultless December or we're in deep shit. If Liverpool win we'll be 3 behind them and if they win their next three matches, we'll be six behind them when we come to play Everton on a Monday night kick off. We had the chance to apply some pressure and we blew it. Its been a very poor November, I hope we can respond against Bolton next week.
  10. I don't understand how we can be so good away from home and yet falter at the Sand Castle. The home run is dead and buried. When you want to win titles, draws at home to the likes of Manchester United are acceptable. Draws at home to teams like Newcastle and Tottenham are disappointing. Defeats at home to a team who has lost to the likes of Hull, Fulham and Aston Villa is absolutely unacceptable. Our home form this season is played 8, won 3, drew 3, lost 2. Thats the sort of home form a team like Wigan should have, not Chelsea. Not a happy bunny at all.
  11. Its not that I doubt him, because he is obviously a top draw manager, I doubt his style. Yes, its great to watch, but teams like Arsenal, Liverpool and United, who are equally good at it, will - and have - punish you for it. I make that three big home games this season - United, Liverpool, Arsenal - and one point to show from it. Liverpool are going top of the Premier League tomorrow night.
  12. The way we're playing at home, we'll probably lose
  13. I'm starting to doubt him now. A lot.
  14. Absolutely pissed off to the extreme. Diabolical performance all-round. Looked so assured in the first half but they completely caved in and collapsed in the second half. The first Arsenal goal shouldn't have been given, but what can you say? Poor in defence, poor in the midfield, poor up front, poor tactically. Very, very disgruntled.
  15. I don't think he has, but the estimated return on PhysioRoom can be a couple of weeks out sometimes.
  16. I best go and file my nails and shave my legs, see you tomorrow chaps
  17. Saturday, 29 November 2008 After missing the last few games, Alex looks set to return to the Chelsea defence in place of Branislav Ivanovic. Joe Cole is struggling with an ankle injury and may not be risked against Arsenal, and Juliano Belletti, Franco di Santo and Ricardo Carvalho are all definitely out. Michael Essien is still a long-term absentee.
  18. Looks more than likely, at the moment.
  19. How do you know he won't buck up his ideas and go on to net 20 goals this season ?
  20. Horrible picture. I pride myself on the fact I give monthly to Unicef and have done a few fundraisers for them, but its still a sickening sight.
  21. I'm half-Irish, and I'd certainly like to see him in the team. He's a brilliant player.
  22. We all have to remember Scolari hasn't been in league management for a very long time, and hasn't managed at club level in such a massive league. He's still learning, but doing very well nonetheless. We are leaving a lot to be desired in terms of performances against the 'bigger' clubs, but in all the circumstances, he's doing well enough for me.
