Jesus Christ. So it looks like they're resigned to losing him. But do we sign him? Don't get me wrong, he is a brilliant player, but will he work out in the Premier League? My gut instinct says yes, but he is young and it will take a lot of money to bring him to the Bridge. That will put him under a lot of pressure to perform and might have a negative affect on his growth. I think he's be a great signing - would be brilliant to see him and Joe Cole on the wings with Drogba up top, with Deco, Lampard and Essien supporting.

Kalou's got the trickery on the ball perhaps Drogba doesn't have. Overall he isn't as good as DD11 but he's more than good enough to offer sufficient cover for a couple of games.

I think neither Madrid or United are slaves. Signing a contract for x amount of years is not a decision made light-heartedily. If you sign a five year contract, you are a player for that club for five years and there should be no second thought about it. Ronaldo and Robinho signed lengthy contracts and I think they should show an ounce of decorum and honour those deals. Just my two cents, I know people will disagree.
