Personally I thought Mikel was our best player over pre-season. Watch the Hamburg game in particular and you'll see why.

He's a doubt, small chance he could feature, ie. as a substitute. I'd go with the following: Petr Cech Ivanovic, Alex, Terry, Cole Mikel Essien, Zhirkov Anelka, Drogba, Malouda

If we play 4-3-3 I can see Zhirkov or Malouda playing in Lamps' position. However with Lampard out Carlo may play 4-4-2 with Benayoun at the tip of the diamond, which I wouldn't mind seeing for a half in all honesty.
