All the Ramires haters will go quiet when he comes good. I imagine all of you berating him joined the 'Drogba and Malouda are shit' bandwagon in their first seasons at the club as well.

Another of those games. Absolutely deserved to win. Can't really fault the performance but the commitment of the players certainly needs addressing.

Two points dropped.

It isn't the results that concern me, it's the half-hearted performances. No-one seems up for it the majority of the time, it's awful to watch and there seems to be no real leader at the minute. Terry may no longer be the world's best centre back but he is by some distance the best captain. Thankfully the response to going a goal down has been very good. Also, apologies for the knee-jerk reaction. It is only November, but you have to admit - seeing schoolboy errors like that from some of the world's most professional players is frankly embarrassing. However I will stand by what was said - if we don't win the league, this is the month we will look back at. Similarly if we somehow pull it out of the bag, we'll look back at these comments and laugh. Every team has a blip. Thankfully today we've got the goal at the perfect time. COME ON!
-
And so November will be remembered as the month where the title was lost.

Millwall away please!

We already have a bullshit thread. Merged.

I think that is extremely harsh. One shot came off the back of the post and hit him as he attempted to save it, the second goal only came about because the ball hit Carvalho in fluke fashion and fell for Yakubu and the third was a Drogba clearing header than hit the back of Saha and hit Cech. You could put Casillas and Cesar in goal with him and they wouldn't have saved that. Cech was at fault for none of the goals.

I think you mean inspection, not invasion? The referee, Andre Marriner, has confirmed the game will go ahead.

Fantastic footballer - and in my view, he has a fantastic attitude. He is also absolutely correct. Young footballers don't care about titles anymore. Football is no longer a game of emotion and glory, it is simply about wage packets.

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti admits he is unlikely to bring in any new signings in the January transfer window unless his squad is hit by injuries. Despite a current slump in form Ancelotti is confident his squad is strong enough to compete for honours on three fronts in the Premier League, the Champions League and FA Cup. Chelsea have suffered with injuries to key players such as John Terry, Frank Lampard and Michael Essien this season. Alex is due to undergo surgery on a knee surgery, but with Terry expected to return next week after a nerve problem, Ancelotti feels they have enough strength in depth to cope without making any new signings in the New Year. "We don't have long-term injuries," said Ancelotti. "We don't need to have other players in January. We have to look at the situation of Alex and Terry and Lampard. "If all the players don't show problems we don't need new players in January." No mistake Ancelotti also rejected criticism that it was a mistake to let Ricardo Carvalho leave in the summer for Real Madrid as the Blues have struggled defensively this season in the Portuguese's absence. "It was Carvalho's desire to go," added Ancelotti. "We don't want to keep players who are not happy to stay here. There was an opportunity for him to play for Real Madrid. We have three fantastic centre-backs. "(Jeffrey) Bruma is young, he played a good game against Zilina. Three experienced centre-backs is enough." From Sky Sports. The news no-one wanted to hear.

Weather forecast for Newcastle doesn't look at all promising.

We won at home against them in the Carling Cup in January 2008 as well - 2-1. But as Madmax says, that was the last time in the league.

Really did not see that result coming at Villa Park. I was absolutely certain it would be a draw. Great response by Arsenal after fucking up in Europe on Tuesday - now we must win.

Arnesen to join Hamburg as sporting director
BlueLion. replied to chrismada9's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I don't see how this has gone from bad to worse... I've never rated Arnesen. True he's had his fair share of talent that he has been responsible for bringing to the club, but nothing more than that. Does he deserve the massive wage packet he earns, considering the amount of money invested in youth anyway? Probably not. I'm no expert when it comes to roles within a football club, but to me, the people responsible for the successes of van Aanholt, McEachran and so on are the coaches and no-one else.
