  1. This is a must-win match. COME ON BLUES!
  2. Could be beneficial for us that Anelka isn't playing, he always seems to slow the play up and the counter-attack is our greatest weapon against Arsenal.
  3. I won't be surprised if we loan out Bruma and we sign nobody.
  4. A new centre back and a striker is a must in my opinion, we just simply do not function without Didier Drogba! I suddenly have faith in Turnbull again so we're doing okay on the goalkeeping front.
  5. Chelsea - Bolton Wanderers 29 December 2010, 1945 KO - EPL, Stamford Bridge
  6. Bosingwa is crucial to us winning the game. Anelka and Malouda have a natural instinct to come inside, meaning the front three tend to be very narrow indeed. Even with Essien and Lampard supplying runs from deep, we will need Cole and Bosingwa to offer the natural width - something I think Monobrow does better than Ferreira. That being said, Ferreira played in this fixture last season and in my opinion was our best player on the day.
  7. Holy shit... fortunately I am trained in the ways of the Dark Side of the Force
  8. I don't think so. Unless there is fresh snowfall in London today, which is not forecast.
  9. We can do this. The major contributing factor to our poor recent form was tiredness. We've had 15 days to prepare for this match, and whilst we've hardly been world beaters, we don't have to play well to beat Arsenal. We've seen that in the recent past, particularly with our last two victories at home against Arsenal. We will have to work harder on benefit of playing away, but with Lampard back and Malouda, Drogba, Anelka and company all refreshed - plus, dare I say, our best eleven fully fit again - we should show why we are the better team.
  10. Yeah it was tongue-in-cheek Either you've got big arms or you're just very selective Zash
  11. Great work Jim... that Alex one is tempting me
  12. Well, its now 0721 on Christmas Day in formerly-the-greatest-country-in-the-world! Merry Christmas to you all!
  13. Joe Cole is just another David Beckham case. Once a great, great player, now wanted merely on name and reputation. He's well passed his best and only playing for a great club like Liverpool because of his name and his achievements.
  14. Because it means thugs like Barton can keep getting yellows and not be punished. But its all swings and roundabouts. If Ivanovic gets beyond December without another yellow we'll all be chuffed.
  15. There's a rumour that I want to buy Qatar... or did I misread that?
  16. Is that a new ruling? I've never heard of it...
  17. I really, really hope they're not. Don't get me wrong, Fabio is a superb player, but we already have the world's best LB in Cole and Patch can potentially be his natural successor. They share a ridiculous amount of similar attributes.
  18. I'm really happy with how Patch has come on despite his minimal playing time. In my opinion, he is the most-polished and competent of our young players right now. This boy has a great, great future ahead of him potentially!
  19. Oh yes, I'm not disputing that. Its people who seem to know that this player will be as good as Essien or better than Gerrard - those are the people that amaze me with their football knowledge. I'm not refuting what you're saying, I'm quite capable of recognising a talented youngster. My point is this - we can only theorise how good he can be on a football pitch in the Premier League, and under the circumstances they will face at Chelsea. A player who comes here as a youngster will probably make only half a dozen starts a season at most, and with a squad that is expected to win trophies in a highly-competitive league, it is incredibly hard to say how good a player will be. There are many factors that must be considered.
  20. Again, something I don't remember saying. Especially since I take a personal interest in looking at young goalkeepers in other leagues as potential players for the future.
  21. That's exactly my point, I don't remember criticising any other leagues. We've seen world class players in other leagues come to England and look average. Prime examples - Andrei Shevchenko and Diego Forlan.
  22. LOL Madmax, I know who Tendulkar is I have never heard of Nathan Ake and I won't pretend I have
