  1. Ronaldo and Messi were regulars for two of the biggest teams in world football at 20 and 19 respectively. Hazard is now 22 and playing for the European champions, the same with young Oscar. Neymar, on the other hand, is comfortably perched on the 'big fish in a small pond' pedestal.
  2. Never the greatest player in terms of ability but he more than made up for it with his infallible commitment and determination to succeed. A model professional and an inspiration to all young aspiring defenders.
  3. If he is the player he is thought to be, he should be able to play for the great European teams, right? And not just be comfortable playing in an above-average league when he should be challenging himself in a more competitive division with a better quality of opponent. If he wants to develop slowly, he should stay in Brazil. If he wants to become a world-class player and test out his potential, he has to stretch himself. You said it yourself - he is too comfortable at Santos. The way I see it is Neymar is another Robinho rather than another Ronaldinho. He has bags of talent but not the bottle.
  4. Neymar is clearly incredibly skilful and a wonderful natural talent, but the comparisons with Messi and Ronaldo are ill-founded. Messi and Ronaldo are proven at club level in the best leagues in world football, as well as on the international stage (albeit not to the same extent). Until Neymar makes the transition to Europe, which I think he eventually will, we cannot make the comparisons. The Brazilian league is a lot stronger than people in Europe give credit for; in fact the whole of South American football is not as far behind European football as a lot of us would like to thing. Nevertheless, it is still an obvious step-up from the Brazilian league to La Liga or the Premier League, and until Neymar shows he can tear it up to the same extent as the likes of Ronaldo, Messi, Mata, Pirlo etc., to me he will just be a kid with potential, and not a superstar. There's no doubting the talent he has, but the fact he seems reluctant to move to one of the big three leagues (Spain, England, Germany) suggests to me is that he is the one who doubts himself.
  5. Every time it's been said in the past has been lip-service in comparison to this.
  6. Get in boys! Won £14 from 50p on the game as well.
  7. Right, it's near enough 7. I can confirm STINGRAY is the member of the month! Congratulations!
  8. Well going by how close the original poll was, I can't see either of you winning by much. In fact I can't see either of you winning at all... I need to stop posting memes.
  9. Yeah I think I've fucked it up. YOLO. PM me your votes and I'll announce them later. Stops people from changing their votes then
  10. Still incredibly close. Considering adding a second poll and making it between just Muzchap and Stingray. This is the closest the MOTM poll has ever been.
  11. What's your point? Can you honestly say ANYONE expected him to be a poor signing, let alone this shit?
  12. He's the CEO. All contracts have to go through him, ergo he is the highest possible authority when it comes to contracts.
  13. If this remains tied by tonight, by formal decree I declare stingray and Muzchap must have a fight to the death, with the victor being crowned Member of the Month. Should they refuse to fight or both should die in the ensuing melee, I will win the award by default.
  14. 10-14 days out at most for a broken little finger. Take my word for it, I know the drill. And that's only because his left is his predominant hand. Means the injury is more psychologically-damaging and could affect his performance as he may pull his hand away if diving towards the post, for instance. But two weeks at most, he'll just go up half a glove size and wear a smaller splint to protect it.
