  1. Yep confirmed by TFO. Another PL club would have been preferable for 'association-trained' So maybe we get someone else in, seeing as the small squad is now even smaller?
  2. Patrick Bamford ‏@Patrick_Bamford Good luck to my boy @LucasPiazon. La liga watch out #malaga #cfc #brazil http://instagr.am/p/UgDh2QGTQ-/ seems like the deal is done eh? Loan I think
  3. Totally agree. Marin, as has stated himself, was bought for the long term, like all players he just needs regular football and could still become an important player for us. And he has started to get game time in the capital cup Piazon the same as indeed Lukaku. To disregard these players just because they are not playing currently for us is madness
  4. yep Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri And in a night of huge rumours, according to respected french radio RMC, Falcao agreed to move to Chelsea next june (via @federicocasotti )
  5. Doing quite well, Just had a shot blocked, nice passer, playing the Mata role and position by the looks of it
  6. Marca this evening are running an interesting story for Chelsea fans, which brings a new player into the picture in terms of speculation for this transfer window and the next one. They've picked up a report from Onda Cero, a Spanish radio station, which said that the Premier League side had contacted Celta Vigo during this transfer window to make an offer for Iago Aspas, stated as being €10m. Aspas has previously been linked with Swansea City but a move there looked to be off this week when Sky Sports quoted the forward as saying "I have read many things saying I was going to go in the winter, but they are not true. Already it has been said several times that at least I will be here until June 30, then we'll see what's best for the club and for me." "I have been at Celta 17 years and I am very proud to belong to this club. Now I'm very calm because I have a contract until 2017." Aspas, 25 years old, has scored 8 league goals so far this season and it's easy to assume that Swansea City were looking to sign him as the next potential Michu. Whilst his comments, which were in relation to that speculation, appear to tule out a move, it's probably going to be a different scenario if Chelsea are interested. Marca say that his club, Celta Vigo, want him to stay until at least the summer and will do their best to explain that to him and try and make the player realise how much they need him. The team are currently just 3 points away from the relegation zone and their situation will be even more tricky if they lose Aspas. Celta Vigo don't want to hold his career back but are desperate not to lose him during this transfer window
  7. Starter ChelsTransferGossip ‏@ChelsTransferLocal Madrid media claim that Torres has told friends he wishes to return to Atletico who are now weighing up a loan move #CFC(Metro) Main course Linked with Iago Aspas: ATENCIÓN “@MigVenegas: El Chelsea negocia con el Celta el traspaso (inmediato) de Iago Aspas.... noticia de RubénRey en @Radioestadio” and Dessert! ESPN report Falcao and Fellaini signings imminent – #CFC#Chelsea – http://sulia.com/cha...6c16a0/ …
  8. Apparently Russ Wiseman of ESPN is reporting that Fellaini and Falcao will become Chelsea players soon.
  9. Errrrr thats exactly what Chelsea have done for years now and the crux of our problem. Its managers who pick tactics and implement strategy and at Chelsea that all started to unravel when Roman got in Sheva, who Mourinho didnt want or need. Ditto Torres and a number of others. We have now splashed cash on a number of players who sole job it was to get Torres firing. That has failed. All managers since Mourinho have tried to change the system but been largely to play the Mourinho style and players with a few tweaks here and there
  10. he would be useful for stoke etc thats true, but its chicken and egg. By saying we need a playmaker says a lot about the failure of Mata and Co to create chances, and of course, a lot more about the failure of Torres to create chances himself and indeed finish any chances, get into the right positions and take more shots. His single handed failure to score then puts us under pressure as we are left to wondering where the goals are going to come from. Hopefully Ba, will prove the missing link adn just what we have missed from a striker, making runs, taking shots, following in etc etc. We need a play maker for when we are starved of the ball and need a plan B to create chances. We need Fellaini to help us get control in midfield and drive forward. Lets face it, Mikel is not going to improve now is he? Romeu is still unknown and Josh could take years before he reaches "chelsea" level.
  11. For me 22 million for a young proven EPL player of his quality is a no brainer. Or do you want to persist with Mikel? Or even Luiz "wild thing, wild shots" Is there anyone else who we could get for the price? Who can adjust to the EPL, who wants to move, and is less than 25 million How many of you were delighted he missed our match? your current choices are - an aging lamps, ramires, who has never exactly set the chelsea world on fire, but comes up with the odd good thing from time to time and errr Mikel! Or Luiz, who is great when given time and space on the ball, but i would say is more freguently a worse midfielder than a defender, and loses the ball more in midfield!
  12. yes we do need a play maker, but if he is played in his preferred posiiton in midfield, he will be there to defend and win back the ball and then start an attack when one of mata and Co lose the ball (as they frequently do) and then dont track back (which they dont) Too often our midfield has been easily dominated because the flair players are easily closed down and starved of the ball. Its easy to beat chelsea, close the space and dont give us time on the ball. We were lucky against Everton, because they did that very well and our midfield hardly got a touch
  13. How can people seriously doubt if he would improve us? He has single handly driven Everton to wins with desire and energy, something we have been seriously missing. We have Mikel, Lamps and Ramires and have had to move Luiz into midfield. (And a bunch of kids out on loan) We need him and deep lying playmaker
  14. I'll post this now so you can book mark it. KDB will NEVER play for us and Mikel will leave, probably next season, as he will get less game time and be down the pecking order. Same goes for Josh and a number of other bright young things, Gael K etc etc Our CM will be Fellaini, Ramires and at least 1 young brazillian no ones ever heard of
  15. ashton saying taison back in brazil and the deal in jeopardy. http://www.dailymail...am-Chelsea.html
  16. because we keep spending "small" amounts of 7 million here, 10 million here, mostly to loan out and then never see them again. I know we need squad players, but I'd rather see squad players come from our one of our numerous youth products or current loaners, and spend proper money on proper first team players like another striker and another midfielder, like a deep lying play maker and a DM that is better than Mikel
  17. Even if ba hasnt signed we can still rest Torres, who honestly would notice any difference?
  18. ChelsTransferGossip ‏@ChelsTransfer Liverpool have confirmed the signing of striker Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea #CFC #LFC
  19. Yep, look at the links, its like a newsnow collection of "news" swept up from the net They have the SSN marin not going on loan story and the suns Torres will accept being benched etc Dont belive it for one second
  20. Its not his wages, its the 2 million or so his "advisors" (not even his agent) want thats the problem. We need to sit down with his actual agent
  21. he's hardly missed a game with his dodgy knees
  22. Apparently the difference between what we wanted to pay Ba and what Danny was getting is around 1 million
  23. Geoff Arsenal ‏@GeoffArsenal Confirmed again that David Villa wants to join Arsenal FC in the January window. He is pushing for a move away from Barca to play football. arseblog ‏@arseblog @GeoffArsenal yes, have heard same.
