Post match:
For the record, I thought he did very well with his subs today, especially the first. And his plan plan of resting our key players for Napoli worked, because we got the three points and a clean sheet. Really don't get what everyone is moaning about.
Don't believe everything this pessimistic bunch say. We had 72% possession, completely dominated them for 90 mins (even when they had 11 men),got 23 shots, hit the bar twice and the post once, and managed to stop them from creating a single decent chance (didn't manage a single shot on target); all this while resting our key players. Just to put things in perspective.
Great performance today, his passing was sublime. He was, imo, our best player till he came off. Though, it did help, I think, that Stoke did not attack us at all, so his defending was not put to test.
To give credit where it's due, he had great performance today and showed good confidence by taking a few long shots. He and Cahil were our best performers to day.
MOTM performance by Garry. Covered brillianty for a few mistakes by JT, and even contributed in the attacks and hit the bar from a corner in the first half. Anyone else he's slowly proving he is our most consistant center half?
RDM plan worked. We got three points and our two main players got a well deserved rest in stead of 270mins in 10 days. And, to get back on topic, we managed to not play Torres; lets hope the stories about him stop for a couple of days.
