I know I'm swimming against the flow here, but I just think Chalobah, McEachran and RLC have the attributes to step-up and do better when they make the transition to senior football. Guess we'll just have to wait and see

We have a 'great goals' thread, if not two or three, which for some reason no body uses Oh and for the record, the one you posted are no where near the best FKs Del Piero scored. He has a couple against Roma that probably top them all. There's also his 200th goal for Juve, I can't remember against whom it was, but it was one of his best FKs.

He's amazing, but not just up there with the likes Beckham and Juninho, imo. When it comes to Italians, the best (I've seen) are King Alex and of course our Zola.

Good that the game is going to go to extra time. We won't be the only side in the final who played 120 mins 3 days earlier.

So who do we want in the final? Villa are a very good side. Don't know much about Sporting, though.

That's the most important point, imo. Baines aside, you won't find a fullback who has touches and gets involved in build-up play more than Azpi. He basically gives us one more man in midfield when we have the ball.

The thing is, this was probably our second tier youth team. We still have the likes of Josh, Nathanial, Romelu, Piazon, Kalas, Omeru and so many more.. Arsenal :lol2:

Every time I've watched him in big games, he's been immense. Something about him that reminds a lot of Ballack.

I'm sorry but I just can't see him making it here. Don't get me wrong, he's a fantastic talent that will undoubtedly become a very good player, possibly even in a PL club. But he's almost the same age as McEachran, Ake and Chalobah. The chances of him making it ahead of them is unfortunately low, imho. If I'm honest, I have higher hopes for RLC and Boga who are technically better.

Wow, those Americans must be paying A LOT for this game if we're flying there just for one match. The players should not accept this. I wouldn't if I were in their shoes. They deserve a rest after this long season. Absolutely no point in flying half-way across the world to play one more match just for publicity.

Yes I know. But some people consider the first goal in a 2-0 win to be the winner which makes sense to me.

Josh is the kind of player who's performance depends on his teammates. I am not at all surprised that his recent drop in form coincides with Boro's poor performances.
