  1. There are a few things I have never doubted of Fabregas- He's a grade A cunt. He will bleat about his love for Arsenal in interviews. He will more often than not get it up against the lower ranked teams in the league. When he continously puts in flaccid displays against teams like Bournemouth I think one has to take a closer look at the tactics. The manager swaps the players around but the style remains. It's predictable and easy to suss out which could have a bearing on Fabregas' abysmal displays.
  2. Had a stinker. Not sure if just not fit or not as capable as before with all the injuries he has been racking up taking their toll?
  3. I had made my peace with this guy NEVER standing up in a big game but the dire and atrocious set piece taking was just inexcusable especially since it looked like our only way of getting on the score board.
  4. Are you saying Didier would have converted for sure? Debatable. Lampard was right to take the pen. Imo Frank is more cold whereas Didier is the emotional one.The game was in the balance and the DESIGNATED PENALTY TAKER should take it. Club glory over personal one. Even Carlo came out saying the same- 'I spoke with him after the first half,' revealed Ancelotti. 'It was my decision, if there was a penalty, to give it to Lampard. I told him to stay calm and quiet because he'd have opportunities to score in the second half. I said: "Quiet. You can score in the second half." Drogba later said he was wrong to throw a fit on the pitch as well.I don't see what's the fuss about? As for being selfish- Almost all top players are. It's why they are at the top of the player pyramid. I could not care less as long as they perform when at the club. And let's not make Didier to be some mega team player. I remember him and Ballack embarrassing themselves on the pitch vs Man utd until Ricky had to step in and break it up. 5.55 in .Lol at Essien's reaction. Let's face it they're all a bunch of big babies. Also I agree Ballack was a better penalty taker but as you can see it's why Lampard was chosen as A)he was almost always on the pitch no matter the game and his club status could not be questioned. If not we'd have to witness those cringey scenes like the one above on a more regular basis.
  5. In fact would be hilarious. The ex-Gooner overtakes the ex- Hammer in the Chelsea legend stakes.
  6. There is no better coach than Jose to stamp out the 'Arsenalitis' that Fabregas seems to suffer from in big games however. Hopefully the eradication is complete before we get to the top dogs in the CL.
  7. Woeful today. He's 27 and surely he should be able to put up better than that display.Playing him without additional defensive cover in away games is asking for trouble. He is not a midfield controller, more a flat track bully.
  8. Not gonna repeat myself. You already know how you come across. Get help.
  9. You' re welcome. What is it you are looking for here?A standing ovation? Nomination for sainthood? What/ You brought up the term 'Mikel hater'. Surely you see the irony. Thanks for the reminder. Seeing how he barely played last season I had quite forgotten.
  10. Mikel haters? And what are you- A Mikel lover? Quite frankly you come across as someone who has his tongue stuck so far up Mikel's arse that surgical intervention looks to be the only option here.
  11. Karma? What in fuck for? For buying a striker that can actually put the ball in the back of the net rather than continuing with the tradition of buying duds?
  12. Stands to reason that the over the top praise would be cause it's something supporters had not witnessed before. Again why are the likes of Frank,DD,Ash not praised for something as vague as 'Mikel gave players an outlet'or some such jazz?
  13. Appeal to the masses. IT MUST BE TRUE.Discussion closed.
  14. 'Decrediting' Mikel? So if one does not fawn and drool over Mikel's performance and says other players did just as well, it is talking down Mikel's performance? There there petal.
  15. Right and here you go off on another tangent. Just start deflecting and hope people tire of your rambling. What am I twisting here exactly.? I simply asked what makes him the stand -out player in the CL. Did I say he played no part whatsoever? No. Did I question his involvement in any other trophy we have won at the club?NO. He had an 88%passing range. Did not keep the ball all that well now did he?
  16. What's really interesting is that his fanclub single hiim out as the GREATEST PLAYER ON THE PITCH in the CL. No-one mentions DD's tireless working upfront on his own or his defending despite being a striker. No-one mentions Frank helping out every player on the pitch and chasing down every loose ball. No-one mentions Ash 's refusal to be intimidated and his relentless pressure on their players. All intangible stuff. All taken for-granted. IT IS EXPECTED. Mikel's best performance is one in which every attacking player is defending. Says it all.
  17. So some vague stuff then.Nothing concrete to show he had a better game than any of the other players on the pitch who all stood up to be counted to a man. Ash. Frank. DD. Cech. But it's expected of those guys is it not? It's almost the norm for those guys to be stellar so it's let slide. Mikel was praised cause no-one thought he had it in him to stand up and be counted. Exception rather than the rule.
  18. What exactly did Mikel do in that CL final that Lampard did not? Lampard had 71 passes with an 85% accuracy to Mikel's 65 with an 88% accuracy. Mikel had 4 tackles and 3 interceptions. Lampard had 4 tackles and 5 interceptions. 86 touches to Frank's 96. Mikel got dispossessed once and had 1 turnover. Lampard was dispossessed once and had 0 turnovers. I thought Ash was the motm. So what did Mikel do that was so stellar in the CL? He is the ONLY holding midfield player at the club. Why do people get so riled up if fans want to see a better player at Chelsea instead of Mikel?
  19. Well how is Mata supposed to stay and fight for his place if he is told to leave? Make no mistake the hacks would have had a field day had Mata been the one to request a transfer.
  20. Did the Telegraph not say that Jose thought the Manu offer was too good to refuse and accepted it even though Mata did not want to leave?
  21. Ha! Do you seriously believe that if Jose shifted Oscar to the deeper role Mata would get a look in? Hazard would probably get the No.10 role while Willian and Schurrle would flank him. Jose wants high pressers with intense work rate in his band of 3 behind the striker and Mata does not fit the bill.Mata was always going to get sold it was just a question of when not if. That display vs Soton did not do him any favours either.
  22. Has he ever straight out abused you? I think not. @the Juve supporter Right so if it's the first time one gets a pass and a pat on the back is it? Good to know.
  23. Have been a lurker for a long while. This is absolutely ridiculous. So calling another member a "cunt" is perfectly acceptable as long as the name caller's views coincide with yours ? I agree talking to Phil is like banging your head against a brick wall and his take on Mikel is quite exasperating but he has never abused anyone on this forum and has shared his views without resorting to calling posters on here childish names. Surely the same courtesy should be awarded to him?
