And if that last sentence is true, he just might easily have stayed at Chelsea. Because I think he could have the same effect for Chelsea.

I would be proud if so many different nationalities would have an interest in my club, let alone actively participate on my club's board. Chelsea wants international appeal, it's good for the clubs reputation and for it's finances. So get used to it, Chelsea FC is a world-known club with fans all over the world. Euhm, Lukaku was really good tonight against The Netherlands. The difference with Benteke was night and day. Really 'weighed' on the Dutch defence. The Lukaku I saw today is an every week starter at WBA for sure. Question is, can he maintain this level... But really impressed, because, to be honest, even I was having doubts about him. But today he proved me that he's still a top talent. And no Belgian league defenders nonsense this time. Heitinga and Mathijsen are of a higher level than that.

Yeah, the original Belgian interview is different. There he just says that just wouldn't do another year like last year (which is normal I guess) and that, despite RDM trying to convince him to stay, he made up his mind to go on loan so he could play week in, week out. He just says that 'Chelsea turned out wrong for me', but that he did 'learn a lot, but also lost a year'. He continues to say: 'with all respect, it's not fun to play with the reserves'. Then he talks about his loan and that it was better for him to go to a club outside London. Steve Clarke phoned him while he in was in the USA and since then he made the decision he wanted to go WBA for a year.

He was one of the best performing players in the first half. Second half he didn't do much, that is true. But that's because he didn't see much balls and due to City overpowering us (11vs10).
