  1. HIs line up yesterday looked to me like line up from manager who waits to be fired. I knew he was done when we spent all money on donkey and dismantled entire team and system to fit him in. Not that we had the best players. But we still owed them the chance to improve and show their worth. Front three that defeated city more than once the last season were sitting on the bench while two players and donkey, that never played together before, were doing their nothing. Zero touches in the box. Zero headers won. Almost zero balls well received. Zero crosses well taken. Nobody in that team believed we stand a chance. It looked to me neither did the coach. You don't put this against the best team in the league and expect good results. Unless you are stupid.
  2. Tuchel comments about Lukaku weren't addressed to Lukaku, but to the board. Or both. It was something like : with what kind of footballer play as as my focal point? Losses balls with or without pressure, can't pass, waists chances upfront. Plays bad, what team can do then? Message to those that signed him. Prepare some popcorns. Lukaku interview part two incoming. He will gain some more weight in the next month. He will play because he costed that much and because he is our top earner. If we want to sell him in the summer, he will play to increase his value, if he has any. Or to convince somebody to take him. He won't play because Tuchel wants him to. Even games against bottom table teams will be our little finals because our top four place is in jeopardy. Our entire attack is even worse with Lukaku '' I wave all the time and miss/ missplace every ball'' upfront. All our attackers got worse due to his presence upfront. Today, every cross, every ball is aimed at Lukaku and waisted because he is right behind defenders at the time. If we as a club continue to insist on playing him, we are out of CL place very soon.
  3. There has never been a transfer that infuriated me as much as this transfer. Everything that I expected us to see with him in the team I am seeing. We are playing with ten men against eleven against every big team bar honey moon Arsenal and Tottenham from the start of the season. Don't tell me that it's only on Havertz and Werener and Pulisic. These guys defeated City three times in a row last season and won us CL. What this fella is going to do. To make us miss out of CL if he starts every game till the end of the season. I am just another football fan, but I , as many others , knew exactly what will happen if we sign him. . I refuse to believe that Tuchel was that dumb and uninformed with this transfer. This was club signing and it's unfair to blame Tuchel for this. He wanted Lukaku like he wanted Emerson or Kenedy. We can blame him for not keeping Tammy and Broja. Club signing. After the first CL we signed one belgian who became great for us. We did the same after the second CL hoping that history will repeat itself. That's the worst thing of all. He will cost us more than 200 million with his wages. He will cost us dearly budget for transfers wise. Torres for all his wrongs helped us to win CL. Lukaku will likely make us miss out of CL .
  4. Two games. Not reliable and big enough sample. Helped us a lot. In one game we won, in other we didn't win. Both headers after almost perfect cross. How many of those striker scores in consecutive games? When he starts being precise with his feet we can hope. It's been a while. Non league teams aside. Travesty if he gets untouchable status. It may/will cost us dearly against City, Tottenham and Lille at least.
  5. Listen, what I believe is that this club wanted to compete for the league title and it was almost thing of prestige for them. I believe the board saw Lukaku as solution for our League drought and position. They maybe saw him as the best solution for retaining top four place. Why they didn't offer Hakimi Lukaku's 325 000 a week? Why they did't get better CM? Or DM? Tuchel wanted CB, midfielder and striker, they got him Lukaku. NO CB. No midfielder. Is that how Tuchel was respected? I simply can not believe they neglected two Tuchel's requests and only got him third wish. They didn't feel we needed Kante's replacement. Or proper CM? Simply put Lukaku was board's 3 in 1 solution, get striker and everything else will sort out. No need for CB, no need for DM, no need for CM just get Lukaku and he will do what he had done in Milan year before. That's how I see it. Tuchel is, like any manager of this club, duty completer. I really don't believe they have major role in our signings, especially record ones. Maybe just Frank had. For obvious reasons. Maybe Tuchel was pressured to get League title and felt he would be hold responsible for failure if we failed and he had refused this God given solution. I don't know but he is here for 18 months and Lukaku is for 60 months.
  6. Keep on dreaming. Even Inter knew how shit he was , that's why the hadn't consider renewing his contract. Look at their chairman words afterwards. He only scored 17 and 18 not penalty league goals in two seasons and alone costed them CL knock out stage in the second season. They wanted to sell. United was desperate to sell. Two top clubs wanted him out. But that wasn't enough warning for this board. Only at Chelsea FC he was considered decent for title aspiring/ CL aspiring side. Only at Chelsea at this date and time people were desperate and delusional enough to pay 100 + 85 mil for him. There is just not enough stupid, unreasonably optimistic, desperate or delusional football directors for your wish to come true. HE is Kepa II. No different signing than Torres. Unless Broja somehow shines. Regardless, consenquences of this deal will hunt us for years to come. We will miss those millions, especially with the state of the squad today.
  7. I have never believed he can come good here. Never. You are free to read the first ten posts I wrote about him. I warned you all and predicted this. When this signing was imminent I wish the fans went to Stamford Bridge and took protest preventing club to get him. I have always told that his ego and the fact that is the first class prick ,who has better opinion about himself than anyone else have, will get us in the major scandal and trouble eventually. He thinks he is Real level player, the world class. His ego is enormous and his behaviour is horrible. He spent entire career blaming someone else for his shortcomings. As soon as I saw him benched, I was wondering what will happen. Not surprised at all. Was expecting this. If Tuchel didn't want him, and I still believe it's the case, this club is run by clowns. We will dump elite manager for dirty speaking blaming everybody else monkey, who once upon time had pace and lethalness in front of the goal against bottom league clubs.
  8. With so many players not wanting to renew contract and this Lukaku quotes, I'm afraid Tuchel time here is expiring. His days are numbered. Somebody needs to come and play to strengths to our star. I can't see Tuchel managing us at club world cup. This injuries and disastrous signings and squad managing are taking a toll at yet another manager. We are not getting fourth place. With those injuries and pathetic summer signings and probably lack of January signings, we stand very little chance. Alonso and Azpi as wingbacks can only take us so far. Who ever manager we have in the process. As I said way before season started, Lukaku is taking you where you are or is taking you down. He seems to have chosen the second option.
  9. In most of games he didn't play somebody had scored, but we conceded right afterwards. Or later in the game. Our inability to defend was problem . He would score in some of the games he missed, maybe. But we would concede. And we wouldn't win. Just like against Brighton . He scored. We didn't win. Yesterday every ball went to his feet. He was focal point. We were so one dimensional and easy to defend against.
  10. At other clubs he didn't come as royalty. King of Milan. Two sub appearances was quite enough for him to show his face. And his worth will be seen in the next three games. If he starts that is. Such a tragicomedy this signing, in the long run as catastrophic as these injuries. Injuries will ruin this season. He is already 185 mill loss. That will haunt this club for the years to come. Tuchel doesn't play to his strengths. Why the hell? How better off we would be with this money now while our league position wouldn't be very different. He won us two games but costed as many. Will he win us next three games? A point at least? I'm not holding my breath.
  11. Board signings vs manager's signings? Hm... How does that work? Manager says "I want Alex Sandro" . Board asks for the price. Club says 50 mil. Board answers to manager: "No. Too expensive. Manager says : I want Alaba". Board answers: No, 40 mil. Too expensive. We have 20 mil to spend. Zappacosta is affordable for that price range. Or he. Or he. Or he. Who do you prefer from that price range? Manager says: "Zappacosta." You see, it's his signing. Club whose managers last less than 18 months need excellent sporting director. But if you believe they have final word in 115 mil eura + 85 mill pounds deal. I don't. Had they told Tuchel no pressure, just go trough next season to asses team and we will make some decisions later, things would maybe have been different. And we would have around 200 mil extra to spend next summer.
  12. When we were first linked I posted: It's a fecking disgrace. And it was. I don't blame him. But spending 100 mil on Lukaku, whom we have been watching for two years at United was madness and disgrace of epic proportions that may cost us top four place, if he regains starting position and injury crisis lasts . I have never wanted striker given options. I badly wanted defensive central midfilder to fill for injury prone Kante and Kovacic. Not addressing this problem but getting striker who is well past his prime (pacey merchant entering 13th year of active football) was criminal. Saul? Never ever was solution but I could never comment badly about somebody who may have some mental issues. Never took him serious and nobody should have. But hey, even if we are not happy with Lukaku, opposition is delighted. Which other striker is regularly showing to defenders where exactly the ball should go next?
  13. It's quite funny how topic about transfers is called " Chelsea Transfer pub" while in the board, decision makers have replaced water with vodka. Only logical explanation I have for most of transfer decisions made post 2017.
  14. After seeing line up I was sure after the match I would post how genius Tuchel is and how disappointed I was he had chosen Lukaku for his winning silverware ambitions. It wasn't given. Guys, Ross Barkley started this match for us. Ross Barkley. And Cho. How many complete matches this duo have this calendar year? It's November. This was their first start with Havertz. They created lots of chances but they missed practice, self esteem to certain extent. Maybe even match sharpness. Game had it's elements to go wrong. About Leauge title. Lukaku will play against West Ham home and away , Everton home and away, City home, Man Utd home and away, Liverpool home, Arsenal home, Tottenham home. During at least half of those games we won't be able to press and defend properly maybe even score. We will lose points. After November - December slump we may find ourselves fighting for the third place . Don't expect it anyway. Leave room to be shocked just like I would be.
  15. Have we already broken wage structure with Lukaku? I know I only talk about him but for me his signing is the root of all the problems we are facing this season. Poor form of our attackers is caused with having statue for focal point. Struggles against City, Juve, Brenford and further games against tough teams will also be caused with Lukaku not being able to press or to score. Which leaves us down to ten men. But that may not be the end of it. What if his reported wages 325 000 a week is correct? Could that be the reason we can't meet Rudiger's and Christensen's demands? They are demanding more now? It's clear after covid we really didn't have money. Why we spunked 117 mil euros on striker that haven't played on the highest level for any top club (CL with Inter) by the 28 years of age and with 300+ goals scored? To win us League and CL? Outrageously sensless. Especially if we don't have money to pay our players properly. I get Rudiger, but Andreas too? It was covid year. Not signing anybody with such poor options wasn't the worst thing. This signing may be.
  16. Maybe winning Cl made Tuchel believe he was some kind of miracle worker. Who knows. But he wasn't happy chap during an after match interview when Lukaku coming was imminent. He was rather melancholy and unhappy talking about others who didn't want to come. Act of desperation from his side, if correct. Was he pressured to win the League? We could get Cl place with the team that had won us CL, that was achievable. Board denied Conte Lukaku, fast forward 4 years with uncapable strikers, we got Lukaku after being rejected from our first choice. This disaster seems meant to be, I can't help feeling we were bound to get Lukaku whoever was in charge. Why they didn't deny Lukaku again? What has changed from 2017? Did Tuchel go to Lukaku's wiki page, checked his stats and decided it's my striker? Had he watched him? If he had, and still made that decision, he is waaay below Pep or Klopp.. If he is to be blamed for 100+ M wasted... Such a shame.
  17. He will force his way out, I have never doubted it. This season or the next. But the best deal we can possible get is loaning him back to Inter or any other club with paying half of his 325 000 a week. Almost 800 000 a goal so far. Never mind. There is no top club that will pay us big money for him . We could only get around 20 mil from likes of Aston Villa or Spurs. At best. But he would have to accept his wages being reduced. We will be desperate to get rid just like United was. And Conte won't be there to prove a point this time around. Which he failed to do anyway. Nobody in PL thinks he is improved player from his United days. Who in this club believed it was acceptable from world class player (the one that wins you PL and CL trophies) to work on improving his first touch at the age of 26? It's like child learning to walk at the age of 6, God forbid. Mind-boggling. And that is worth paying 325 000 a week. He doesn't have space here. In this League. He is always around defenders. In Italy he was free to run. That's why we can't have Inter Lukaku . Except against Arsenal. He was left alone there. But it was just one game.
  18. The only signing that has made me genuine sad. It really was sign that decision making in this club hasn't improved a bit. I was angry at first but mainly sad after. I gave up any hope we will win anything but I am not even among those fans who put trophies first. Kepa signing rinse and repeat. 97 millions transfer fee. 325 000 a week are about 85 million for five years. Around 180 million total for a player who never had any capacity and quality to take us forward. Who could only dismantle good foundation we created at the end of the last season. Makes you wonder who are decision makers in this club. Who of them saw Lukaku as a player who can bring PL or CL to the team that already struggles? If we hadn't have options why didn't we show some faith in the players that have won us CL and explore our options next season? With around 100 - 180 millions in pocket. It baffles me. The most absurd signing a club that is not called Barcelona has ever made . What will be our transfer budget next summer? Senseless , pointless and costly mistake.
  19. He got better in the second season, but they were more than happy to sell him right after. Check out Inter forums. Some of them call this transfer the best sell ever. In the second season, it is very visible what he offers to the team and what he is costing the team. The second prevails and that's the reason why 300+ millions were spent on his transfers alone. The most absurd transfer ever. I know he will score but we will still end up third/ fourth on the table, where we would be without him. And potential clashes with coach or the players, I don't even want to go there. Pointless transfer.
  20. I expect Salah there. He may be their first pick. Maybe even Haaland if they double Real's wages.
  21. Gosh I have meant in foreseeable future, not tomorrow. We just don't have unlimited funds nor smart board nor good transfer policy. The last is very poor from 2017 onwards. That is sad state of affairs at this club that may lead to the same situation that Arsenal is going trough. Awful transfer will cost us and we are selling talents to make funds for them. It will be done differently at Newcastle, City, United and possible Liverpool .In foreseeable future not this season. We are just Lukaku failing to score in couple games away from disaster. And the guy is already blaming on coach for his shortcomings. Arsenal may be the next. To even have chance to compete we need to be run with more capable people.
  22. Fair enough. I still find it little hard to believe. If that's the case, either he is not as good as Pep or Klopp either he is extremely shortsighted thinking only about the next season. His/boards short term gain will be long term pain for this club. Especially taking in consideration this Newcastle United situation. Then again, with Lukaku up front dropping out of top four is around the corner anyway.
  23. And there goes our fourth place...
  24. If we even try to bench Lukaku in big game he will start a riot and eat all the pies he finds in the city afterwards.
  25. I'm really sorry. Have been since that interview of his after friendly game when he said something like: Some didn't want to come, Lukaku did want to come. Like only positive from that transfer was the fact that Lukaku wanted to come. He wasn't happy. It wasn't his choice. Was he in the position to stop this board signing? Maybe he was, but our fourth place/ potential title was at the risk he didn't want to take by refusing striker, albeit wrong one. Last night consequence of that failed transfer window was there for everyone to see, subbing our first teamers with academy players and Ross Barkley, clear message for the board that he has very little to work with. If he persists with this 5 at the back, 343 with Lukaku upfront he is as good as gone. In his mind anyway. If he tries 4231 with Chilwell and James as FB, Mount, Havertz and Werner behind Lukaku or something similar with four in the back and one attacker more, he will give it a try. To stay and fight for this club. But how? Those who have signed Lukaku will keep him and this club in chains.
