Steps forward Kalou *jokes* He has shown potential as a cameraman latley though. And there must me some other connotations to that rule surely, don't remember selling for every non HG player we've brought over 21. -

It was locked, most probably due to the fact that a deal was purportedly imminent. Hopefully this unlocking is signaling a change in that though. Today VIllas-Boas said: "We have plenty of availability in terms of forwards who can play in different positions - with Anelka, with Kalou, Didier, Torres and Sturridge. "This is the reality at the moment of our squad. We need to find the correct balance and this is why pre-season is important. "On that decision, to bring in another forward, at the moment I don't think we will." I think that was in answer to a question on Lukaku, possibly a double-bluff for his price-tag to be lowered I don't know. But he is right, unless we sell one (mabye Kalou or Anelka, or both) or even loan one out it's frustratingly unlikely that Boas is bluffing. I know we do have a lot of strikers but both Drogba and Anelka are in their 30s and Kalou is... well Kalou (Not that he hasn't improved). Quite frankly an Aguero doesn't become available everyday and of all our targets, bar Modric, he would (imo) fit in very easily. I don't want to lose him to City, only to see them avail a Balotelli, Aguero and Silva front-line to terrorize us in the future. Besides what if Tevez does stay, or even leave for that matter. Man City certainly have a lot of forwards, and their not on the wrong side of their footballing age, unlike 2 of ours. Despite Aguero reportedly saying he would like a move to City if a bid is formally placed, I still maintain that if we come knocking their is no doubt in my mind that we would take full precedent. But it all hinges on if we make a move. -
Now let's replace Pedro for Alexis Sanchez and look at the Barca team

haha I completley agree, rather save it all until the last day than splash that type of cash on players like Henderson and Downing. But I do think we will make a move, half of these reports about Man City bidding for Aguero have all said that it hinges on Tevez and Corinthians have since withdrawn from negotiations. It's only a matter of time until we are legitimately linked with Aguero again, as Villas Boas said, our 'proper buisness' will begin after the Asian tour. Hopefully by then it's not too late.:tophat: -
Come on, if you are racist then you must hate half of the Chelsea team. Besides there are different forms of racism, I'm sure nobody here is overtly racist ( I hope so) but implicit racism is rife amongst the majority of the people e.g. unwittingly walking away from a hooded black guy in the middle of the night. This is all mainly due to the biased crap printed daily abundant in the media.

We're all probably big fans but nobody, I repeat nobody, can match Tiziano Crudeli. His understandable reaction to Tottenham's goal against Milan was one of his best moments: Here's just a more general video though:

"At the moment I am waiting because if we lose Carlos, Aguero is a player that can play for Manchester City because he is young, because he is a good player like Carlos, he can score a lot of goals and can play with Mario [balotelli], with Edin [Dzeko]," Mancini told Sky Sports News. (he also said something about Nasri) That strike force could be deadly, we must do whatever we can to get Aguero. Frustrating that we haven't had any links with the player recently, from credible sources at least. I still mantain that if we come knocking we would be his preferred club. Especially since we have been after him before and he has overtly complemented us unlike City, he knows Torres, and even Tevez, and the constant advantage of living in London -
For those of you unaware of the three players names they are: Wallace, Ronan & Pernao Ronan talked to the Brazilian media and said: “ In the Deco coming to Fluminense, they needed three players who were based in Juniors They sent a scout to watch the championships and choose three players – myself and two (Wallace and Pernão). Deco at the coming of the club sold 50% of my passes (economic rights) to the English club “

"I will not return to Atletico, it is clear," he told ESPN (July 13, 2011). "I talked to the club, gave a statement, now my representatives are negotiating my departure from the club. I don't know when the agreement will be, but I will know when the Copa America is finished." A stay seems out of the equation now. With Juventus talks collapsing, the old lady have maximized their pursuit of G.Rossi, and though a Man City bid seems imminent Aguero has previously suggested he would prefer another club, like Chelsea. This is what he said in 2010: "Chelsea are a great club. They have become one of the most feared in Europe over recent years. I look at players like Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard and they have been - and still are - the best players in their positions in the world. I could really learn from players like that, there is no doubt. London would be a really amazing city to live in as well, myself and my wife could be really happy there. (I think location is also key, especially after Tevez slating Manchester and the lack of activities available. Aguero has a 2 year old child and Im sure that this could prove to be another vital factor) Carlos Tevez is doing really well at Manchester City but, for me, it is about joining a club who are ready to challenge for honours. City are not ready yet." City may have won the FA Cup and can offer Champions League, but if we come knocking I have no doubt in my mind that we will take full precedent over City. Real Madrid remain a little worry though with Mourinho recently stating in his pres conference (July 13, 2011) "Neymar is a Santos player, Aguero belongs to Atletico Madrid... Adebayor is at Manchester City, but perhaps he is closer because he was our player for six months," "We should not be very distant from those names, but I am calm because we have a fantastic squad and we are in a very good situation." Yet he did say Real only need one more forward, weather thats on top of Adebayor, or not, the inference was unclear. Furthermore Atletico's president did state that the two clubs have a gentleman's agreement in place for Real not to sign Aguero. Bottom line is Abramovich must splash the cash on Aguero. He has a proven connection with Torres, proven in the Champions League - and is not just brimming with talent, but exercises regularly it too. I think it's fair to say that he's just a star and his acquisition would be one for present and future. -
Can't see his goal against Wycombe posted anywhere so thought I'd post it. What a classy goal.

In terms of luxuries and necessities, Neymar is of the later category . Malouda is great on his day, but hasn't really got the legs and skill required to beat that extra man like Messi, Ronaldo and most top clubs avail. IMO since Robben's departure we haven't had that extra dimension, and in Neymar we could potentially yield one of the greatest talents to have emerged from Brazil. With Ancelotti, and the success he experienced in developing Pato and Kaka I thought no manager could provide a more tantalising prospect for Neymar to work with - but Villas Boas might just equal it: he's young, likes to attack (unlike Jose) and naturally speaks Perfect Portuguese. For a young footballer wanting work abroad I think us supporters never really comprehend the step a player has to make in this aspect, not to mention the separation from families. I really think his acquisition is worth it and the 40 million we may have to spend is a temporary deterrent which will (mark my words) be recouped in a season. He was recently be founded to be the 17th most marketable athlete in the world - ahead of the likes of Rooney and Pacquiao. Perez, adept in the stratagems of the footballing business knows, like Ronaldo and Kaka, this "crazy" money can be easily recouped and money is not the risk - it's the muts like De Jong - who recently played Neymar ironically enough, that are. But hey, for the skeptics out there remember Ronaldo when he came to the league, and even more recently Ramires We really must beat Madrid to his signature

Just found this: http://www.insidefut...8m-offer/44454/ I'm not sure how reliable the source is but it says Barca are pondering a €18 million offer from an unnamed club Sure hope the unnamed club is Chelsea (if this news is true), after all the news has come after today's Alcantara links With the prizes we already avail in Mceachran & Piazon, Alcantara will really mark a new generation in our midfield.
-
I mean Kaka is a world class player who has unfortunately been plagued with reccuring injuries during his time at the Bernabau but, for all we know he could do a Van Der Vaart or Sneijder and just jump into life at another club. Nevertheless, his signing is relatively useless and does exceed the boundaries of logic. I mean with the acquisition of Lucas Piazon in the last window , who will be joining us in January, and the asset we avail in Josh Mceachran, we already yield two Midfielders oozing with the potential to become our very own Xavi & Iniesta :woo: They're both very young and can hopefully grow together at the club, yet we can't be too brash in rushing them. And besides Kaka recently posed for Madrid's new kit, and has repeatedly reiterated his desire to remain at the Bernabau. I would ignore the media speculation as most of the nonsense being collated are both unquoted and unreliable.
-
True, but recentley it has been founded that Neymar is the 17th most marketable athlete in the world ahead of the likes of Wayne Rooney, Pacquiao and Mcilroy - for us the money means nothing, and it will be recouped. If you define the risk by the £40 price-tag then I don't see one. However, if your talking about his ability to play in the EPL and the whole 'rough game' situation their is undoubtedly one. But remember Cristiano Ronaldo when he came to premier league? Against Scotland he wasn't bothered at all by their physical approach, and he made Charlie Adam look like a right mug (Not saying Adams the bench mark ) Unlike Robinho he also possesses the heart and work-rate required not only to play in the EPL, but to thrive.
-
Hey the way I see it is that this brawl pertains positives, word is Neymar could be suspended from Fifa Club World Cup - it's a shame because we could of seen how he fared against the likes of Barca. However, the Club World Cup was the excuse being driven by Santos and Neymar for him to stay put. Apparently (as we all know) Real Madrid are interested, and Pele is apparently pushing for him to stay put or avoid the 'rough game' in England to go Spain (Ironic isn't it). Nevertheless, his father does seem very clever, Di Maria is not going to lose his place after his terrific season and I fully believe that Perez is after Neymar not Mourinho (Perez did go for him when he was 15). He'll most probably rot the bench and if common sense prevails Neymar will follow the path to Chelsea. Villas-Boas's arrival seems to have reinvigorated the push, and though the sources are unreliable I do believe that we are ready to up our bid.
