--------------Luiz------------ Bertrand - Terry - Alex - Iva Helloooo?? Why not try that and if he proves to be more useful in that position obviousley buy a new CB. Actually we already need one to replace Terry.
-
No, id rather have Mata behind Torres and Danny. Mata isnt that effective in a 4-3-3 formation. Id like to see something like: ---Torres---Sturridge ---------Mata--------- Meireles-Romeu-Ramires Bertrand - X - Alex/Luiz - Iva (X is a new player to slowly replace Terry.) or something like: -----Drogba/Torres---Sturridge X --------Meireles/Mata----Ramires/romeu -----------Luiz------------ bertrand - X - Alex - Iva

No, I just expect us not to get completley embarrased by shitpool at the bridge. Is that too much to ask?
-
I dont agree that they need a rest. They are professional athletes and i would agree resting them if this game wasnt important, maybe if we were up against the likes of Everton or some other team. With this much at stake Drogba should have played, no doubt about it. Oh and he brings Anelka on? At a desperate time? A player who doesnt have a future in the club, has nothing to play for and havent played in a while? Pathetic...
-
Im not too sure what to do with Lukaku tbh. He looked very weak, i thought he would be stronger. Who the hell is comparing him to Didier?! The only two who could start more matches are bertrand and romeu, brilliant and outstanding. Josh doesnt seem to be ready for 90min, so subs for him alot more.
-
Really? If ud have faith in Andre you would have expected him not to play Torres in this game. I knew Torres wouldnt play well, 1) considering the midfield 2) considering we were up against Liverpool 3) considering Didier was available, done well and usually causes trouble for Liverpool he should have played 4) Lukaku should come off earlier, he was pure dire... You are so wrong. This wasnt "only the carling cup". This was pure embarrasement, losing 3 in a row at Stamford Bridge against pool. Not only that, but losing like this and the form Chelsea is in doesnt help either.
-
Ive lost all faith in Chelsea winning ANYTHING this season. I doubt we'll advance in CL this season, I doubt we'll qualify for CL next and honestly serious thing need to be done. I had huge hopes for AVB and I know one needs time, but at the moment Chelsea is playing horrible and there is no chance we can oppose any threat to man u, city, barcelona, real etc... We are just not in that "league" atm. As if that isnt enough, we just got battered by Liverpool ONCE again. We've been absolutley embarrassed on Stamford Bridge. This truley is a sad day for any Chelsea fan and everyone in the Chelsea team/management should be ASHAMED OF THEMSELFES.
-
I'd like to see: ----------Torres----Kalou------- --------------Meireles----------- ----Josh----------------Lampard --------------Romeu------------- Bertrand - Iva - Alex - Bosingwa --------------Cech------------
-
What an awesome start. Torres should come on NOW. Team is playing awesomely but tbh Drogba isnt impressing. Great chance for Torres to score and step up his game.
-
To start scoring, he must obviousley be given more playtime. Not jump in in the 75th minute and be expected to score when the team playes shitty. If the team can properly build around Torres (with a good formation and backing up from ie. Mata) he will do wonders!
-
I've been reading rumours that AVB is/will be in a crisis meeting with Roman that seems to be disappointed with the whole Torres situation, and that Di Matteo is potentially leaving? Anyone else? Some inside information? Whats going on?
-
No doubt about it, we should stick with AVB...and for a long time. I think the issue here is simply that he was hoping that the core players and backbone of Chelsea would be able to deliver and stay in a obvious role in the team. Clearly this isnt the case, and because of this he will be forced to make some tough decisions. I really believe it is time to re-evaluate the choices of players, and this will be the key to turning the tide. We have these unmotivated players who are paid huge ammounts of money without delivering, and it is about time they sit on the bench for some time. As for the formation, since we lack decent wingers the main choice should be a diamond formation. And depending on what players are available I think these choices are the most promising. Give it a chance at least! 1) Should be the standard formation and first team, at least try it out. Cant get worse than it is atm! -------Torres + Sturridge------- -------------- Mata--------- Meireles/Lampard + Romeu/Ramires ----------------Luiz------------------ Bertrand - Terry - Alex - Iva -------------Cech------------- Starting from the back, i think terry and alex will provide a stable inner defence, and by playing luiz in the mikel spot we wont be losing him when he pushes forward. He is much more promising compared to Mikel and Luiz offers great passes and runs forward, aswell as great defensive abilities, yes abit reckless sometimes and that is why he is better suited here. This formation has great PACE and promising younger players. I honestly believe this formation would do greatness. 2) Another formation providing all of the above players arent available/rested. -------Drogba+Sturridge------- ----------Mata(Meireles)------- Josh-----Lampard-----Ramires Cole - Terry - Alex - Iva --------------Cech-------------- Malouda, Mikel and even Drogba at some times should only be brought on as subs. We have young talented players that need more playtime and they WILL shine. They are the future, not players who are past their 30s and not delivering!

Well, after watching tonights game I cant help but to think AVB needs to make some serious tough decisions. It has become quite clear that some of our players just dont cut it anymore or they are just not motivated enough. Mikel: First of all, I dont see how Mikel is even considered to have a spot in the team at the moment. He is very slow, sloppy and really brings nothing to Chelseas "new game style". Terry: I got huge respect for Terry but lately he has been making some very stuipid calls and does not bring the stability in the backline anymore. Yeah hes aging, but still... Malouda: I think Malouda has been given quite alot of chances but in my opinion he just doesnt deliver. Tonight he should have netted at least once. Defensively: 1-2 seasons ago we looked really strong defensively while struggling with the midfield. Nowadays it is reversed and we really do need to do something about our backline. This doesnt cut it if we are supposed to challenge clubs like City, Man U, Barcelona, Bayern, Real and so on..I simply dont understand why we keep our backline so high, it opens up spaces and alot of chances for the opposite team, we saw that tonight, against Arsenal and so on.. General: Chelsea is struggling to find their new style, and to be honest, its not a surprise. I dont understand why AVB chose to play Mikel in a 4-3-3 formation, he slows the game down every single time. And overall, and this is something i see in practically EVERY SINGLE GAME, most players are very STILL. There is not alot of movement and the ball goes very much back and forth instead of being pushed forward in some situations. I do believe its time to think about seriousley giving some players a better chance of proving themselfes and do some changes. I would like to see something like this, as far as the formation is concerned: 4-3-3 Mata --- Torres --- Sturridge Lampard --- Meireles --- Ramires Cole --- Terry --- Alex --- Iva --------------- Cech ----------- or ---------------Torres------------- ----------------Mata---------------- Lampard---Meireles---Ramires/Romeu --------------Luiz------------- Cole -- Terry -- Alex -- Iva ------------- Cech ------------ The basic idea here is that i think Luiz could be really useful in Mikels spot. He is good defensively but we've also seen he does really great runs forward and creating chances/scoring. Secondly we should use players with more pace, the starting eleven today certainly did NOT. Also we were somewhat unable to utilize Mata. To put it in short, we need stability in the backline asap and bring it down, dont keep it so high and also use players with more PACE. Get the players moving alot more. Looking at i.e. Barcelona they are moving constantly. Looking at Chelsea there isnt alot of movement and i think that is what we are lacking. You can tell Mata is trying to create alot but sometimes he isnt able to and the ball just goes back and forth. I dont expect us to win anything this season, but if we keep going like this we will really struggle to even qualify for the CL..

Anyone got a stable (en) stream please?
-
Chelsea needs to be doing some serious finishing-practise. It is absolutley horrific and embarrasing to see such opportunities wasted because of lousy finishes!
-
Anyone got a highlight-link?
-
Quality enough to be a given card in every game and play 90minutes? Absolutley not. It's time he makes space for others, not just because there are other options but because Lampard needs to sit on the bench some and come back really motivated. Its just like Drogba and Torres being benched... If you dont perform well enough, you just cant be a given card every single game... Im not saying he should retire or that he shouldnt be allowed to play. Just that some games he should be benched, some games he should be substituted and maybe some games (after that) he can play full 90s again
-
Did I claim otherwise? Read again... Not at all. But because he doesn't add pace, he doesn't play the ball like before, his game is waaaay out and nothing like before....AND we've actually got other players who could take his spot. At the very least he shouldn't play full 90min. Tell me, what DOES he add atm?
-
What are u talking about? Are u saying for instance Mata - Meireles - Ramires wouldnt be better? Or Mata mikel meireles on the midfield? Are u claiming there we dont have any midfielder who adds more than Lampard? Get real will you? Have we had a "big game" yet? No. No1 saying he should start against united or such, but against teams like Norwich, Sunderland he could even start and perhaps if he does really well which i reckon he would he can be sub against teams like united. that will help him grow
-
I seriousley cannot understand people still include Lampard in their starting XI. I mean it has become quite clear the man doesnt add anything anymore except for being an icon. What is the meaning of even playing Lampard when there are other options, for instance playing mata, meireles, ramires, or swap for mikel if needed, and how about giving Josh some playtime? Im not bashing on Lampard or anything, i have huge respect for the guy and he is a legend, but since he was injured and away, for what was it 6 months last season, he just isnt good enough anymore. He really adds nothing to the team. Drogba hasnt been himself either, but yet better than Lampard and he's been cut sorta. So, do you guys see something I dont? Why is Lampard still a given card?
-
What I am hoping for is that AVB will have the guts and wisdom to bench Lampard and Malouda some. I also think the wining concept will be that when drogba steps in it should be with lukaku+anyone but torres. Anelka and Kalou should also not be given much playtime at all, now and then to give them a(nother) chance to perform and if not just leave them on the bench. Something like this maybe: (just lookin at it makes me drool) ----Lukaku---Torres---Sturridge ---Mata-------Meireles---Ramires --Cole--Terry--Luiz--Bosingwa ----------------Cech-------------- or possibly: ---------Torres------- Lukaku-------Sturridge Mata----------Meireles ---------Mikel---------- --Cole---Terry---Luiz--Bos ----------Cech--------------- EDIT: I still cant believe some people include Lampard in a starting team. Get real will you? PLEASE

Anyone who doesn't apprichiate, value or remember what lamps has done for Chelsea isn't a Chelsea fan. But then again, anyone who doesn't realize lamps is practically done and has to step down, isnt sane.
-
I really don't get the whining on this signing. First off, fuck sp*rs and modric. Im actually glad that deal wasnt sealed. The thought of giving them 40m just makes me sick + im sure he will leave either on january or next year and then he will probs go for 25-30m. Secondly, Meireles is a good player (and he was ALOT cheaper than modric), maybe most importantly he and Torres work very well together. Consider Meireles as a Lampard who actually plays. He's not Xavi, but then again Chelsea really doesn't need that if u think about it. Our squad looks really amazing at the moment. I mean really, defensively we've always been superb, Luiz will be back and Bosingwa has been really good this (pre)season. Lukaku, Torres, Sturridge, Drogba, Mata, Ramires, Meireles, Mikel...come on guys. I think that if AVB has the courage to bench lampard and malouda some it will go really great.

When does the transfer window close? Is it open as long as its still 31st of august or how does that work..and in other countries? I hear italy is closed?
