  1. Yeah, well, if he continues to get better, that price tag would be a steal IMO...
  2. What trick? The 'trick' they pulled on Jose?
  3. Early days yet, Kez. Let's hope the club would continue to treat him this way after a few seasons.
  4. Oh, thank God. I had negative thoughts when I saw the title...
  5. LOL Shut down the Football Manager game, I'd say.
  6. The competition in the premier Dutch or French League is better than the Championship imo.
  7. LOL I went to school in Singapore when I was 11. A lot of Indonesian children do if their parents can afford it as the education is much better so it shouldn't be a problem.
  8. Arjen Robben, Alex & Kalou came to us from Holland and they're/were good for us (only good for Robben cause of the injuries) so it's not really a big problem. Ok, so not PSV but there are clubs like FC Twente who'll give the youngsters quite a lot of games.
  9. Scott Sinclair, Michael Mancienne & Michael Woods. Oh, wait, they're reserves players so they don't count.
  10. Yeah, I know. Maybe we should try loaning our youngsters there instead of Championship clubs as the competition is much better. Like I said, Alex turned out good after a few years there.
  11. What about loans to clubs like PSV or Marseille? Alex turned out good after a few years on loan with PSV. Maybe the factor that he stayed at one club instead of moving around a few different clubs helped, too.
  12. So you wouldn't mind if anyone calls him Fat Frank?
  13. Even so, the competition on EPL would be better than the Championship so the club should take the effort to sort them out...
  14. Oh, and the loans... Why do we always loan them to Championship clubs? Surely loans to small clubs in the EPL would be better. Small clubs who'd give the loanees a lot of games to play. Sahar went on loan to Portsmouth and he didn't play a lot because the strikers there are much better than him. Maybe we made a mistake making Sinclair and Sahar go on too many times and should've let them stay at the club instead. Loans to clubs in the premier leagues of France and Holland would be better, too. They're quite famous for producing great/world class talents.
  15. For some of our youngsters to get a few games with the injuries we've been getting? F Broadway mentioned January acquisitions on another thread, but I hope not cause I'd like to see our youngsters get some chances to play. Di Santo, Sinclair and co. would never be good enough for the first team if they don't get a fair share of chances. Also, some of our key players are on the wrong side of 30; Lamps, Deco, Riccy, etc. so we should try to give the reserve players a few games a season from now. That way they'll be (hopefully) ready by the time Lamps and co. retired. Thoughts?
  16. I hope not cause I'd like to see Di Santo play more often.
  17. That could be because nobody was there to 'control' him like Jose was there... I don't know the correct word, but hope you get me...
  18. Yeah, well, a couple of seasons ago we had a great manager in charge while last season it was Grant. I hope Scolari can get the best out of him again and he stays injury free.
  19. My line-up: With Malouda coming on as a sub in the 2nd half.
  20. What's the point of having these youngsters if we're always gonna look for replacements outside the club? Yeah, well, let's hope the spasm will stay off the pitch for him...
  21. Yes, he is getting a bit injury prone but then so is JT and a few others, tbh. I think we shouldn't rush them back so the risk of getting more injuries is reduced.
  22. I don't want to turn this into another argument with the DD bashers so I'm just gonna say, why not consider things carefully before mindlessly slagging our players and telling them to feck off? Oh, and hindsight could sometimes be an embarrassment.
