  1. Laughing at the bit about the ref btw. Not us winning. I think winning is likely here. Curious to see what effect a first real cup win can have on this nascent group of players we have.
  2. It's all bound to change now, with Ratcliffe coming on board though, right?
  3. Don't think it's too negative. Just realistic. 8th to 10th position is what is likely atm, given the competition around those league positions. Still an improvement over last season, so not all doom and gloom. Having said that. I'm a bit optimistic about this cup final, especially with the injuries on the Liverpool bench.
  4. Mbappe leaving on a free next summer... Could he still make his way here??
  5. The core of Terry, Lampard, Cech & Drogba had high footballing IQ. The way they prepped for games was next level.
  6. Not sure how long Chilwell will remain fit, but if that's any indication..here's hoping James can make a similar comeback after a long gap on the sidelines.
  7. Great performance today. Felt Poch went too defensive too early in the 2nd half. But aside from that. Can't complain.
  8. If Brighton were in London., I'm guessing Todd & Co. would've just bought Brighton. But it isn't. So turning Chelsea into Brighton is their next best alternative, I guess? Who knows. Basically, have a squad chock full of talented youth, low wages, and increasing the resale value of the club.
  9. I don't think so. What I think happened is that the club hired shite management in Potter and afterwards a beaten down and less optimistic Lampard. Took a top 4 team to new lows. They've somewhat rectified matters by hiring a more reputable manager in Pochettino, but there's not much he can do with the current roster of players., in its current state. Maybe our squad will improve next season (without notable departures), but it's all speculation at this point.
  10. Come on Chels...for Liverpool! And Arsenal! Really pathetic to just type that., but it's even more pathetic for the league for the same team to run away with the league title for more than 4 years in a row. Unless it's Chelsea, of course.
  11. Sorry, I should have clarified. 8th is the upper target I set for Chelsea this season, following the performances in the first 10 games. It's not anything official obviously, or from any reputed pundit. Just an opinion. The club is midtable at the moment, so 8th is a reasonable upper target. The club can occasionally produce fantastic performances, but is never far from equally embarrassing results. Hopefully next season will build upon this., and the club can really target the European spots.
  12. As long it's not a football coming his way, he's not going to dodge that!
  13. Always a blue. Have a feeling Cesc might be as well., even though he loves Arsenal a lot. Curious if he'll join Chelsea before Arsenal as a manager, if ever.
  14. His goal glut in the last two matches would have confused Clownlake's stat machines. Very likely will have 2nd thoughts about selling him now.
  15. Well, 8th position is still the target. Still on course.
  16. Not sure if true, but always bound to happen. All this talk about a building a team for the future is pointless, especially if your high potential players don't want to stick around that long to wait for trophies. And while people keep slamming James for his injuries (not sure why anyone would, but that's just the sign of our times), he's not going to stick around long, to go season after season fighting for low tier cups and nothing more.
  17. Tbf, if they had put most of that money to good use, most fans wouldn't complain. But no. The fans are left with the embarrassment and not much else.
  18. He really was? The current generation of players are such suckers when it comes to social media reactions. Why the heck should they even care about some fan? Just get your head down and focus on your own game.
  19. Ironically makes sense. No one would want a repeat of the Spurs sacking Mourinho ahead of the final type of drama anyway. There's enough drama at the club without it.
  20. Last season - dragged down by shitty managers. This season - dragged down by an above average coach working with a shitty roster of players. The one constant - Clownlake.
  21. Variety is the spice of life. Instead of Lampard., they call in JT this time.
  22. Don't forget Jorginho, who we sold to our former rivals (I say former, because that club is levels above in the table right now) to put in man of the match performances. Good enough for a top 3 team, but not enough for a midtable Clownlake controlled Chelsea FC., apparently.
  23. The club elected not to renew., and free up the wage bill. In any case, the club should have done more to retain at least one experienced head in CM.
  24. I wish some of these journalists confronted the owners with hard questions, instead of asking the same run-of-the-mill nonsense
