Re-markedly enough, I think the media were a lot more aggressive with Conte at a similar kind of stage last season., compared to Sarri now. I guess with United just about edging the top 4 spot on goal difference, they aren't exactly looking forward to a new manager at the helm, and a possible Chelsea resurgence.

Need Mufasa to come out before every match to talk to this lot
-
With Roman A., currently out of station he cant even arrive at the training ground to put fear into this lot. Need someone of the likes of Drogba or Terry back. And soon

Unlikely, but if this coach has any guts he would bench a huge chunk of the senior squad for our 3 homegrown youth players who would play with full motivation, for the next game. While I think a huge chunk of responsibility lies with Sarri, and his one dimensional strategy, I agree with the point that Bluelyon made in the match thread. This lot only care about their trophy count. I've suspected this for a while now especially after watching Contes second season The league performances have steadily become worse ever since we dropped out of the title race. The fight to win every match is no longer there. This is why we no longer fight back in league matches. Complete contrast to the start of the season when we fought to score goals in the dying minutes of the game. Also complete contrast to the league cup game against Spurs.

Back in LW, Back in business Classic Hazard!

As much as I disklike watching Sarri's football at the moment, Articles like these are an even bigger bore. An 'insider' claims training sessions are dull and monotonous. What 'creative genius' came up with this crap? Rubbish article. Don't wont another season Chelsea in the doldrums, and certainly don't want to read crap like this from the gutter press. Its like on an annoying loop.

Not arguing with anyone. Was just giving my perspective. Regarding the last sentence on Tomo's post. About the backing given to Sarri.
-
This is true...I think the club has done fairly well (on relative terms) compared to previous seasons. They took a gamble by sticking with Morata as first choice striker, but who can argue otherwise? Its only his second season, plus he came in for a lot of money. Even the appointment of Sarri himself. Pretty bold by Chelsea who normally go for only proven managers. (Grant maybe an exception).
-
Yeah, Kante is fantastic..but he does not have the tactical nous of a Makelele or Essien to play the CDM role all by his lonesome.
-
Heh... looks more like a sheep walking into a den of wolves. The players are going to stick it to him at this rate. Hasn't got a clue about what he's getting into with this public shaming.
-
Morgan probably still has nightmares about Hazard going on that solo run to score against them.
-
Starting to look more like himself. Slimmed down too. Wonder whether he would return to Inter. Recently claimed they were the best team he's ever coached (which is true based on the trophy count). I think he's had enough of managing in the PL for at least a while.
-
Agree with this... The whole lambasting in public reeks of Sarri just trying to make himself look better. What's the point? The players are not going to take any positives from public shaming. Especially not from him. For all you know, in their heads they have achieved more in football than he has. Heck, Marcos Alonso has won more titles. So have Moses and Drinkwater both of whom, Sarri had unceremoniously dropped Same shit again. The moment he used the word 'suffer' in his interview, I almost lost it. The only people 'suffering' from this are Hazard wasting away in the false 9, and Roman Abramovich and the fans watching this tripe.
-
Says his players lack motivation. Picks the same starting 11 several times over. Doesn't even tweak the system during the game. No changes at half time. And that obsession with 4-3-3. Wouldn't be surprised if he arranges his cutlery in a 4-3-3
-
He's right about the weak mentality of this crop of players. But that doesn't change the fact that his tactics absolutely suck.
-
MOTM is Sarri. No doubt about it
-
Azpi was so clueless for that Koscielny goal He is a good defender, but how can you be the leader of the team, and completely ignore a goal threat standing right next to you? No point in pretending to be like John Terry.
-
I guess the clues were there earlier on in the season, when he said he doesn't know what to do with so many players in the squad, and couldn't guarantee everyone chance. Really doesn't have a clue about squad rotation or changing tactics. He captured lightning in a bottle with his midfield at Napoli. Said he would look to do a 'Chelsea' and not a 'Napoli' with this team, but all lies, seemingly.
-
The irony is that he said it would be 6 months into the season before the team actually starts playing well and understands his tactics. Sheer irony. Guy doesn't have a clue
-
Laurentiis at Napoli, seemingly had a point, when he talked about this guy's stubbornness with formations
-
Fraud. Just went full Scolari with this one. Same stinking line up game after game. Alonso keeps starting game after game. No ideas. Just meaningless keep-ball in the middle of the pitch. Doesn't mix up anything. Thinks the false 9 will work every game against any PL opposition. Brings on the same stinking subs. Just like for like. Every game. Barkley on for Kovacic. WTF is Barkely even supposed to bring??? The guy has done nothing of note in recent games. Trying his best to drive out Hazard and CHO on his own. As bad as Conte in his 2nd season.
-
Maybe...just maybe, he could bring us back into the title race. Sigh...I keep daydreaming about a Rohirrim like charge from us, towards the end of the season.
-
If the club is getting anybody, Higuain or anyone else, I really hope they don't wait all the way till deadline day. Big games are coming thick and fast.
-
Watching Alonso attempting a pass in a game: Every. F* ing time.
