And City gets a day more rest than us. Only solace is that we're facing them at the bridge.
-
Agree with that. He has not been the same since that dirty Ashley Young ruined his game when United visited. I just didn't agree with the fact that he was one of the worst on the pitch. Kovacic today was far more anonymous
-
I agree. As much as Kovacic is nice to watch when he is on the ball, he needs to offer more in terms of end product. Kante was more effective today, but that midfield 3 combo is not all that its cracked up to be. Individually they have quality, but as a combo, it just doesn't cut it for me. Would have one of RLC/Barkley/Fabregas in that midfield 3 at any time.
-
Also, would like to see one of RLC or Barkely more often in the starting line up in matches moving forward. The Kovacic-Kante-Jorginho combo, sounds nice considering the quality of the individual players, but sometimes doesn't do enough

Wasn't Hazard involved in the 2nd goal or did I miss something? Also the chance that Morata missed in the 2nd half from Hazard's shot Not his best match, but come on. Honestly don't know why we complain about people underrating Hazard, when he draws criticism like this from our own fans
-
Overreaction. First defeat of the season, and you're already throwing in the towel, with more than half a season left to go.
-
I'm still furious at United for their thug like tactics in our last match with them They were the ones that started this clown tactic with Herrera two years ago. Thankfully we had Michael Oliver on that one occasion to put an end to it. For the most part we have to agonize, watching spineless referees allowing shambolic play to continue throughout the match.

Come now, We aren't Spurs who would probably also release a DVD over stuff like this.
-
I'd rather they nick points off City... but eh, whatever
-
Hopefully gets the chance he's been waiting for this Thurs
-
Also hilarious are their complaints about the 6 mins added time Who do they think is responsible for that??? A certain Rashford perhaps? Deciding to take a siesta on the pitch?
-
Just saw the highlights of their goals... How was the first Martial goal allowed to stand? Alonso was down for such a long amount of time
-
Missed the first 75 mins match, and was horrified to learn the score at 1-2. Would have really hated it if they had won this match...the press and rival fans would have been insufferable (they might still be that for a week though) Glad we equalized one way or the other.

Great pass for England's 3'rd goal against Spain.

Well if anyone is still frustrated by tthe constant talk, its claimed that Hazard has decided to halt any mention of Real Madrid at least until the summer. I don't know the source of this, but it was mentioned in passing in one of the recent Daily Mail articles on Hazard
-
The comment he made about 'being best in the world' was just him being cheeky as usual with the Belgian/English media. Questions like 'are you the best in the world today' are stupid questions anyway, and Hazard answers those in kind. Remember, this is a player who, just 2 weeks ago, was asked to name the 3 best players of the premier league and never put himself in that list. As for the Mourinho comments, nothing surprising. Him, Drogba and Mourinho were really close during that 2014-2015 season. He might dislike Mourinho's tactics, but I don't think he has anything against the man. Same would apply to Conte as well. I actually like Hazard being open about everything. It is refreshing to see players like that in this age. It might grate some fans, but I still think its better than the players who say one thing and then stab the club and its fans later.
-
Well you can't discount the impact Mourinho had on Hazard. Before Mourinho arrived, Hazard, albeit talented, was just one of the top players on the team alongside Mata and Oscar. It was under Mourinho's reign and that 2nd half of 2014-2015 season, that Hazard truly transformed into THE man for Chelsea, becoming no.10, raising his goal count and winning matches on his own

Well deserved. I've said this before, and this is my opinion,..I think all of us should feel relaxed about the Hazard situation. As Chelsea fans we should really know by now, how Hazard speaks to the media. Its almost always tongue-in-cheek, trying to take the piss (that's what our club as a whole does to other teams, I think ). What I found most amusing is how the media outlets have taken all his words at face value, Sky especially. This has led to all the Real Madrid bloggers and bandwagon fans going crazy. Reports about a January move as well, until Hazard squashed that rumor himself yesterday. The most important thing to me is that Hazard has said that no matter what happens next season, he will not leave Chelsea in a difficult situation. He is not a Raheem Sterling or not an Alexis Sanchez
-
You should see the latest Sky sports youtube video on Hazard. Stuart Pearce talks about Liverpool or City coming in for Hazard, and how we should be afraid. How clueless can these pundits get??? And I thought I'd heard enough punditry nonsense for one season from Stewart Robson.
-
Yeah, you can debate on whether he should or should not talk about a potential move mid-season but IMO that's just who Eden is! He's been here for so long, and we know he speaks candidly, and lot of times tongue-in-cheek. As long he still performs on the pitch when playing for us, I don't see why we should be too concerned at this point.
-
I think a lot of hate towards Courtois was largely down to two reasons: 1. He failed to show up for pre-season (the main reason and probably the one reason why so many fans are angered) 2. His club performances were seemingly lacking. He had a few goof-ups last season and he was already angering fans at that point. Hazard's case is no where close to this. And I don't think its that unknown for star players to confess their desire to play elsewhere. It was well known that Cristiano Ronaldo long favored a move to Madrid. He stayed on for one more season at Manchester Utd, at their request, and out of respect for his club./
-
Would rather say we are fortunate that Hazard is Hazard, and that both Chelsea and Hazard have been admirable in keeping things civil, with lot of respect towards each other. I say Hazard, because we have seen top players at other clubs (looking at Sanchez at Arsenal) kick up a fuss and ruin games while pondering their next move. Hazard on the other hand has been professional and never tries to sabotage the team's chances of winning anything.
-
I don't think he will. End of the season, in my opinion. It will depend a lot on how Chelsea fare this season. That's why I think its pointless to be bothered about Hazard's contract speculation at this stage.
-
Not sure how you got that idea.. Are you saying he would contemplate joining United or PSG?
