  1. Is this the same ITK who had José going this weekend no matter what?
  2. Can't wait for the season that we're finally crowned Press Conference Cup champions.
  3. It only matters to sad acts who pull their chuck over off the pitch football drama. Our manager is humpy and nobody likes us... Boohoo.
  4. Said it multiple times on here before, mate. 90% of sports media outlets now are Hello magaizine for men. For blokes too embarrassed to watch The Only Way Is Essex but not above drama in a more masculine guise.
  5. He can smile all he likes and lick each of their arses, it wouldn't make a difference. And seriously, this forum might as well be called TalkPR the way some people get on. He's a football manager, not a business executive. He doesn't need PR training and no amount of it would get the press off his case.
  6. Well he could say... nothing. If he really was the person behind the supposed comments he could simply not comment. Also, it would hardly seem likely Cesc is leading a dressing room revolution while his wife is tweeting support for Mourinho.
  7. Of course it's a rarity because no club bar United ever cared to give it a fair go. I'm not debating that the chopping and changing of managers can be successful, there's plenty of evidence showing it can. I'm saying that it's a nonsense to crow on about stability and lingevity if every bump in the road results in a managers head rolling. And just because other clubs have never managed to do it doesn't mean it can't be done, similarly United's situation doesn't mean it's the best formula. But if clubs are going to try it and fans are also up for it then it needs to be seen through rather than bucked the moment things get a bit hairy.
  8. It's only a pipe dream because clubs and fans are impatient and any dip in performance is treated with the nuclear option. The Ferguson level of success might be fanciful for most, but it shouldn't be for big clubs with resources.Clubs and fans a like can't demand longevity then throw in the towl when things get a bit rough It's even more ludicrous if we go down the route of Ancelotti because we will have sacked our historically successful and supposed long term coach for a second time only to bring back another for a second stint. If you're going to have to re-enlist past coaches over and over then you might as well just stick with one of them.
  9. If José goes, the club are deluded if they think any coach is going to take them at face value when they deliver the long term stability remit.
  10. My gripe with these predictions as to when Mourinho is going is that regardless of how great a source you believe your journo of choice to be, they're nearly all taking the scatter gun approach. If they guess he'll be gone after every game, eventually one of them is going to be correct.
  11. Not sure if it's already been posted. Martin Samuel's take on things... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3299462/What-season-s-Premier-League-win-blip-Chelsea-Jose-Mourinho-s-players-aren-t-good.html
  12. Always be the same except when it's not. Like eh... last season?Anyway... So boring listening to people talk about how Mourinho has to go because he's no longer a great manager. He's supposedly lost it in a few months while the players are absolved because they're not best buds with José anymore -- which is somehow an excuse. Does anybody think that perhaps there is blame to be shared out in equal measure? There's plenty to be critical about in regards to José. I just want the club to stick by him because 1) his record doesn't lie, and 2) the club showing it won't cave to player power -- if that's the problem -- can never be a bad thing. Speaking of football in general, the answer to every bad spell shouldn't be to dispense with the manager. It usually favours ignoring the bigger picture for an immediate increase of form in the short term.
  13. The first ten minutes of todays game gave me hope, then the rest happened. Can't understand why we switched off so early considering in that short spell we looked like an actual team. Build up play to the goal was nice. That's the only positive from today. Play the kids from now on. Can't do any worse than what we currently endure.
  14. What's proactive about bining every coach you ever have at the first sign of a dip?Imagine if United sacked Fergie in 05 cause he didn't win anything and came third 20 odd points off the top. At very least to the end of the season. It's the least he deserves.
  15. People like you two are totally reactionary.José's history suggests he's worth keeping. Perhaps he is having a rough spell personally with his father or whatever? All the more reason to stick by him until he comes through it. You don't just lose it over a summer. Some of our football under him last season wasn't great to watch but you always felt confident we'd come through. Coaches of Mourinho's calibre aren't easy to come by and should be afforded the odd bad season. You can't be successful all of the time. To sack the man who won you a double last season, a man who has won 3 of your 4 league titles is nothing short of short sighted. And if he goes this time, he's probably not coming back. Everybody needs to be patient, take the rough with the smooth, and suck up the bad results.
  16. How could we not grab another goal against this Stoke side who are virtually on deaths door.
  17. It hurts even more watching him lose the ball and do nithing to try and get it back. That said, I think he's been better than usual today.
  18. Might as well blow the whistle now because we can't put something together when we have a numerical advantage in the break so what hope is there with their entire squad camped behind it.
  19. That good first half feels like a lifetime ago now.
  20. What's new?Happy enough so far, all things considered.
  21. What were the two goals we should of had, Cesc and?
  22. This same tired nonsense despite him having said that he is responsible in quite a few post match interviews recently. He might toss blame all over the place but he has taken responsibility also. I swear people hear what they want to hear. And what does the other side of that coin sound like anyway? Does he come out every week and say it's all his fault? I'm a big José fan but I don't think he is beyond critique and some of his decisions are questionable. However, most of our players aren't performing, we are suffering from bad decisions and we don't seem to be getting the rub of the green. There's plenty of blame to go round and José has taken his fair share despite what you want to believe.
  23. Except for the fact that players do interviews every single week regardless.
