  1. And yet it would appear we have a squad full of untouchable tossers. Strange how it works.
  2. Behave yourself. Give the kids a chance, sure. Even more reason to play them given recent results. But as if this could have all been avoided if we'd just played a few up-and-comers.
  3. Nah mate, we've already done wrong by one club heroine this season, Eva Carneiro. It's Bridget's job for the taking. Just brace yourself for the claims of sexism when we bin her in 6 months because the players have taken the hump.
  4. Watch this weekend as our players form returns to them as if by magic despite being deployed with the exact same tactics they've been given all season.
  5. And then we'll probably sack the new one in a few seasons and the same mob on here calling for José's head now will cry about the long term and the lack of managerial consistency.
  6. In fairness though, those are three pretty good reasons. That said, I still at this point he might as well try it despite everyting. Maybe the site of some young guys putting our experienced pros to shame might be the boot in the bollocks they really need. I doubt it will happen though.
  7. I'll bite... Himself, and why not if he feels that his playing staff aren't pulling they're weight? I mean, they clearly aren't. Maybe he feels it has gone beyond the point of defending the indefensible? Of course, you and many others will feel that José is the one who cannot be defended and myself and many others will disagree. Forums, eh? I just see it like this, he is this clubs most successful manager. He has led an incredibly successful career up to this point. He delivered a further two trophies last season. Maybe he's lost it in a few months. Maybe he lost it a long time ago and this squad really are excellent and it's only now that Mourinho has lost them that they have dipped. I just feel that it's more likely that last season the squad were raised to Mourinho's level and that this season, they are in fact, closer to their true selves. Just as a note, this isn't a new theory off the back of tonight's comments, Martin Samuel wrote a piece about it a number of weeks ago. I thought it was very good.
  8. The thing is, I get why he doesn't. As Lampard said tonight, trying to blood your youth in a situation like this is far from ideal and perhaps not really the environment for these lads to be given their first proper taste of Premier League football. So I get that Mourinho might be hesitant to play them. But whilst I understand that, I also think that there isn't a great deal to lose given our current predicament given that we look likely to get rolled over every game. If he truly thinks his squad can't hack it, then I say just give the kids a go regardless of whether it's ideal or not. Could it really be that much worse?
  9. Why is this an excuse for the players but not Mourinho, who indeed, has never been in this position before?
  10. I'm still behind José for a number of reasons. His critics on here say he doesn't/can't coach offensive football. The first half of last season we were revered as an excellent attacking side so it's clear he can do it. To me, it's clear from his post match interview that he expects a certain level of intensity and tactical nous that he feels his players aren't delivering on. I don't think many will disagree with that - we complain about it regularly. He suggested tonight that perhaps he took the squad to the next level last season, winning us the league. I agree. How many of these players, even during the first half of last season, would force their way in to other top European clubs? The players, in my opinion, don't look remotely interested. The recruitment this season has been gash. Finally, Mourinho has a proven history of winning whilst half of this squad look like passengers. Given his comments tonight I would like to see him throw a few kids on going forward. If he really believes these guys aren't doing as they're told then it will do no harm to give the youth a go. They'd be full of enthusiasm, which sure, might not win games, but it would be a whole lot easier to swallow
  11. Hope we take tonight's form in to Monday's game. Things might start to look up if we do.
  12. I love these posts because so many times José has shouldered the blame and it goes unnoticed. Once he blames something else, he's a narcissist who can't take responsibility. He's been blaming everything including himself for weeks now.
  13. I'm not directing this at you, just quoting because of the image.Anyway, I don't like this. He's offside, sure. There is, however, a bollock hair in it. These are exactly the sort of calls I wish officials would let go. The benefit of the doubt should go to the forward and I have no complaints with this not being given as offside as it's the finest if margins. It's simply a joke that this is what it has come to for us, analysing the likes of this decision and saying that's what done us. This call wouldn't be an issue if our squad could take their chances and not overplay everything. Bored of being passed to sleep. Think the handball was a much bigger call. But we don't get those anymore so I'm used to that.
  14. Think Spurs are going to embarrass us unfortunately.
  15. Absolutely thought this at the time. I have no issue with that JT said about Savage, I found it humourous actually, but the same lot on here who cry foul every time José opens his mouth were lapping up the comments made by JT when there was no real reason for him to single out and take a pop at Savage. It really came out of nowhere and was no more or less "childish" than 90% of what José says.Furthermore, calling José childish for making a fleeting comment regarding Le Saux is just looking for controversy and I'm not remotely surprised to see which posters are supposedly bothered by it. If Le Saux wants to make multiple publicised statements containing comments charged with hyperbole such as "set the game back 30 years" then I think a passing name drop is well in the spirit of things and totally fair game. Not excusing José's tantrum at the medical staff, but it barely set the game back a week nevermind 30 years.
  16. Happy with the result but not convinced we will kick on and can't see better sides finding it too difficult against us.
  17. How many balls are going to go across the face of goal before Costa realises that the six yard box might be the answer to some of our questions?
  18. A pub team with a bit of defensive structure could keep our totally blunt attack at bay. It's woeful.
  19. Yet still no finishing from the last few minutes I've watched. Nice.Costa is basically a training dummy now.
  20. I'm feeling good about this game but maybe it's just because it's been so long since I last watched us that I'vr forgotteb how bad we can actually be.
  21. Aye, just like the last vote of confidence he got where he'd be gone soon after, and yet...
