It cuts both ways. Others are absolving our seemingly petulant millionaires for their utterly inept performances because they didn't like their boss. Boohoo, it's not one's right to have a boss you like and no one manager is going to please every player he works with. Love him or loathe him, there should be a minimum level of commitment displayed by these highly valued professionals week in, week out. Even if every single player in this squad hated José's guts there was absolutely no excuse for a team with our talent to be in the position we are in. In Mourinho's final season at Madrid, the one everybody loves to point to as evidence of his "third season syndrome", he finished what, second? Express your opinions on his tactics or whatever else, but if folks are honestly going to let our squad off the hook with the shit we've seen this season because of big bad José then I'm really lost for words.

Got to laugh how the same Daily Mail who have been on Mourinho's case for months, running every gash article their "journalists'", namely Neil Ashton's, little fingers could type out, are now going with the headline "Time to call José?" regarding United's current situation.
-
Well how was our approach today so vastly different? Because other than increased effort it looked about the same to me and most people with eyes. Tell somebody who doesn't know any better that was a Chelsea performance from 14/15 with Mourinho at the rudder and few would argue otherwise.

Happy with the result but the levels of enthusiasm and intensity on display scream mutiny as far as José is concerned. I know the usual suspects will pretend that it was his absence that allowed us to play excellent attacking football but anybody with half a brain will look at today's performance for what it was: the exact set up, in both tactics and personel, we've had all season with players actually trying for a change. If you think that's acceptable, fine. Not me though.

What is this penalty thing the referee has given. Not familiar with them?
-
Who will the José out mob blame if the players down tools during the next managers tenure? I mean clearly this performance is because the shackles of Mourinho have been let off rather than the squad just putting in the levels of intensity and enthusiasm that should come as standard.
-
This old classic again. Mate, watch his post match interviews from this season and you'll see him blame himself a lot more than once.
-
Unless José had thrown the players under the bus consistently since week one I don't think this reasoning holds.

I know my comment will be hand-waved away as Mourinho fanboyism, but this is the squad he has picked for weeks. This the formation he's played. As the commentators have noted, all of a sudden Costa is taking up his position. Did José not point this out? Our players now have intensity. Again, did José not point this out? People on here are acting like the squad have been given freedom to attack when the only noticeable difference between this half and the rest of the season is now the boys look arsed. And honestly, it speaks volumes if all we've lacked up to this point is effort from the squad. Happy with the performance so far regardless.
-
Happy with the goals but this is the exact team and formation Mourinho would have deployed. So it's hard to not think they haven't been holding back.
-
Odd. I'd have thought now that Mourinho was away that RLC would have started in order to kick start our season...
-
*shrug* They made their bed...

Think about that though. 150 homes games undefeated. Four in half a season, straight out the door. If the aforementioned record doesn't earn you poor season, shitehawk squad considered, nothing will. Pathetic treatment.Anyway, is there an Emenalo thread? Want to get behind the legend himself.
-
Why should he make a choice? Presumably he was happy with Mourinho and presumably Mourinho would be his choice now. The reason the question gets put to the José out mob is because they are the people who knew better. They are the ones who wanted him to go and so they are the people pressed for alternatives. You can't complain when a guy who doesn't think it's broke doesn't offer a solution to fix it.

Truly incredibly that an individual with such undeniable clairvoyence such as yourself is wasted on this forum. United could save themselves a lot of money and hassle if they just run any potential José shaped decisions past yourself first. Two steps back... Destroy -- what a strong term -- any youth development... You've got the inside track on what United fans want too! P.S. If he goes to United and grinds out a 0-0 at the Bridge which ultimately wins them a trophy, then he's done is job and it won't matter a damn what we call them, be it cowards or any other such nonsense.

Nobody will disagree with that. Nor do we need that irrelevant tube to tell us. The issue folks have is whether or not the correct party bit the bullet and Emanalo's brutal truth, for everything that it's not worth, fails to help us out on that front.
-
Does posting on a forum count as irrational behaviour?
-
Imagine sacking José and then having Micheal "nobody actually has a clue why he's here or what he actually does" Emanalo come out and do a wee interview to fill us all in on the details. Do one, Micheal.

I don't know where this Ossie the King punter came from all of a sudden but I am liking the cut of his jib.

Seriously though, you keep going on about how Mourinho can't coach offensive football when the fact of the matter is you have no idea how the training sessions play out. What we do know though is that for a period last year we were playing good attacking football, so that would suggest he can do it. Coupled with the fact that this season José, as a manager who typically defends his squad, has openly questioned their lack of intensity and attention to tactical detail and even going as far as to question their passion on CTV. Meanwhile he, as ever, claims to always be looking toward the next win. He is serial winner and a man who absolutely hates to get beaten. So when I see the turgid performances you speak of, I'm more inclined to think it's coming from the 9-10 guys who look totally disinterested on pitch.
-
Mate, have you put your hat in the ring for the job cause you seem to know your stuff. When did you get your pro license anyway?
-
With any luck, no.
-
I seem to remember many a poster and pundit alike, with their trunks around their ankles, last season as they witnessed a José Mourinho coached side swipe teams aside for fun and walk to the Premier League title having never dropped from first place. Sure, he might have shut it down in the end to get over the finish line but for that period where we were the best team in town to watch, Mourinho coached that.
-
True, but José isn't in the position to string more than 2 passes together or put the ball in the back of the net. If he was however, you can bet your bollocks he'd try, which is more than can be said for the majority of our squad currently.

Chelsea and permanent manager. Now there's an oxymoron.
