Thanks for your feedback fella's.I managed to run the Chkdsk utility,which successfuly removed the corrupt folder,but my laptop is still giving me grief.When i power the laptop up the screen goes dark,but you can just about see visual activity in the background.Sometimes it does power up properly,but when my wallpaper screen appears,the screen will go dark again.Fuck all i can do about it today,being Easter Monday,hopefully a Dell technician will be able to help me tomorrow. Using the downstairs computer atm.

Since Tuesday i've been having problems with my laptop and windowsxp starting up.It either automatically shuts down,even though the power light is still active.When it does power up and takes me to my wallpaper screen i get the following message displayed in a boxed window. AOLSoftware.exe-Corrupt File The file or directory C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AOL\AOLDiag\AOL\ServiceHostUKGM\Win32\1.5.6.1\permdata.box is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility Can someone help me on how to rectify this problem and to remove the corrupt file.As far as i know it's not a virus as i done a Mcafee scan yesterday and it does'nt detect anything,but i'm sure this is what is causing the laptop from not working properly. If it's of any use,my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1300,it's around 18 months old and my operating system is windows xp. Thank you.

Tbh,the country has got no better post-Thatcher. New Labour still encourages growth,which has lead to alot of working class people wanting to prosper but ending up losing their homes,heavily in debt and the one's on minimum wage incomes facing poverty and destitution,while the middle classes lord it over us without a care in the world. Also with corrupt MP's stealing from the public pot,money that should be going to the NHS,Police Force and other essential public services shows just how much we have been betrayed with the upmost comtempt. It's the working classes,who mostly are Socialists that suffer as not only have got to maintain ourselves,but also those who sadly can no longer work for whatever reason,or those that are just too damn lazy to work,in which we can't force them to,neither shame them into. If we refused to help the underclasses of Britain,then we would'nt be the Socialists that we claim to be. We live in a corrupt,greedy society maifested by Thatcher and her pupils currently in power. And it's going to get alot worse.

Which surely must question that the play off system has to be restructured so that the 3rd place team goes straight into the final and the 4th place team play's off with the team that finishes 3rd bottom in the premiership.The winner would then play the 3rd place Championship team in the final. That's wrong.Why get rewarded for faliure? Surely the parachute payments should go to the promoted clubs from the Championship eg Bristol City,West Brom,Watford etc.Like that it would help them prosper in the premiership,thus the possibility of avoiding more situations like Derby are in,as Ollie said is an embarrassment.

Naturally Greg.It's common that most upperclass folk don't pay much taxes as they live offshore or in non-ferral parts of Britain like we have to put up with. In other words they're totally out of touch with reality. Anyways,the fuel hike will NOT stop mother's with their 4x4's and Space Cruisers doing the daily school run. The price hike in alcohol will NOT curb binge drinking as 4p increase in a pint only means that my weekend binge of 10 pints (eg) will only cost me an extra 40p.Big fucking deal.
