If we're somehow still this margin or closer away from the title in January, then it would be criminal not to sign a midfielder + a striker. Getting a striker is not going to be easy though, and will probably cost us the title. But we should sign a midfielder, since Essien doesn't have much to contribute.

Leaving Ramires on after that 1st and taking off MIkel so Lampard can attack, when there was already so much space for them = beyond criminal. I don't really care about his subs though because you can't always get them right, and he's made some great one's this season. I'm more angry at the overplaying of certain players.

1 more thing about the defence is there's barely any rotation going on atm. Look at how "tired" the attackers were against Basel and since then Jose has mixed things up. But it's still the same back 5, good for consistency, but no doubt some could do with a rest. Ivanovic for example has started just about every game!

That wasn't a cross, clearly a mishit shot, because it wasn't the first time he tried to shoot from those angles all game. He was a presence for sure, pulling wide to receive the ball, and he's just too fast for his size lol. But he did make some frustrating decisions shooting from Sturridge territory.

What i liked is how many times he got the ball. This should be the case every game, because even when he isn't playing great - he can still perform some magic out of nothing. We also need to see more of those runs from Lamps and Azpi to get him more space.

Just pathetic. If this was any other player then you'd expect a response next time he plays, but this is Torres, another 100 hours without scoring probably on the way.

The thing is, Sunderland didn't even create any chances. We just did pretty awful defending set-pieces and "gifted" them 3 goals. Unless it happens in another game, then i'm considering it a 1 game fluke.
