Sturridge has to play for me, since he's probably the only player on the team (atm) i trust to score a goal. But if he starts on the wing then he'll have to do defensive work which he's not particularly great at - main reason i like the line-up with Rambo on the right.

I was just about to say that ^ and Ramires will help out 100 times better defensively.

This season Ollie. We have played against Man utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man city, Valencia, Newcastle and Spurs. The only games i thought we didn't play well in was the two against Liverpool. We didn't deserve to lose at OT, against Arsenal we did well in the first half, but everything went all wrong in the 2nd. Man city: we played well, so as against Valencia and Newcastle. And against Spurs we should have won that game, the performance after we scored was top notch.

Youth integration is tougher to do when you need to get results, almost any manager would opt for the experienced players - Carlo did the same. And let's not forget he only played McEachran because we basically had no other options.

Yeah Tomo basically said what i was about to, he did good with Academica before getting a big job. He got them playing well, believing in themselves and also took them to the Semi's of the cup where Porto needed a late winner to advance to the final - one of the key factors in him getting the Porto job.

The only "sin" or whatever for me is the first two, the rest are not that big of a deal.

4-3-3 is just not cutting it anymore, we've looked better almost every time we switched to 4-2-3-1 . Sure we don't have the right players atm, but i think we can 'cope' with Kalou/Malouda on the left.

Meireles was good at Liverpool last season because they played him in a more forward role, but at Chelsea or even Portugal he's asked to play more defensive - which is quite stupid really since he doesn't like to get "stuck in" Now to your question, Lampard has been crap for most of this season, except for that period after everyone were saying he's done. He slows down everything and i think our midfield looks better without him there - with the exception of the last couple games, where the vast majority of the team have just been rubbish.

Better option than Lampard atm imo.

He needs to freaking start with 4-2-3-1 instead of changing to it every time we're losing.

Drogba and Torres are always in good positions to be slipped in but instead the midfielder with the ball just passes it sideways. I like Meireles at least he tries to get the ball to them, he just doesn't get enough power on it most times.

Would be nice for a change to see Mata/ST/Sturridge slipped in behind the defence by one of our midfielders....

Even when the team is changed still the same shit lol.
