Hmm, I am wondering if theyre basing that article on the stuff that Romero tweeted. Those articles dont seem to be inside sourced information. Whereas the outlets who are more Sevilla based still say its us, If he hasnt trained this morning as reported, his move is imminent. And only one club has bid so far.. Chelsea.
-
If Kounde is as close as todays reports suggest, and with Sevilla flying off to Portugal Thursday, I'd expect further news today [wednesday] Those Barca accounts will still be retweeting Gerard Romero "Kounde close to Barca" even when hes playing for us against everton [if he comes]
-
I dont think Jacobs has much of a clue tbh. His tweets are so vague so he can be correct either way
-
weird how all Sevilla sources claim our bid is the only one and we are negotiating a final fee to sign him, and nothing from Barca, yet Gerard Romero constantly pushes the "Kounde wants barca" "its advanced" etc etc
-
When Ornstein reports it, I'm usually firmly in the "this is genuine" camp. Good news, looks an utter tank does KK
-
I have ignored the Raph news tbh, I dont think there is the slightest chance he joins. Ake and Sterling be done soon for sure. I think the major CB signing will be the next one though after Ake
-
Oh no, its about players. Alemany the sporting director and Cruyff have just arrived, too. And Laporta
-
Boehly and Eghbali are there. I think that this development is slight overkill just to sell Alonso and/or Azpi. FdJ or Dest being discussed i reckon, too
-
I seen this on twitter and thought it was real at first, if it isnt, its a good photoshop effort
-
Do yourselves a favour, it'll be Kounde or Ake. De Ligt is clearly off to Bayern IMO - seems much stronger rumours re. them now Raphinha, not sure what will happen there, if he is that desperate to join Barca, he will probably wait for them to activate the 2nd lever.
-
I may be wrong here and correct me if so, but i get the impression that Gerard Romero fella chats absolute bollocks.
-
I know we are hoping to conclude 2 deals before Saturday, but im not convinced lol Sterling seems nailed on and I'd like to think de Ligt may be the other, if Juve want his future sorted by July 10
-
As someone pointed out to me last night, that cash injection for Barca today barely covers their contract renewals and the registration of Kessie and AC. Looking at it, I will be surprised if they match anywhere near our Raphinha bid
-
Simon "i am told" Phillips. Chats absolute shite he does.
-
Makes sense all that. I just assumed that if for example they activated one of these "levers", for say, 250m euros, then they could opt to put 100 to debts and salaries owed and 150 to player purchases. But essentially you're saying it'll instantly be swallowed up by creditors and of course salary payments.
-
I think you make valid points, but this is Barca desperate to not miss out on a signing. They'll come up with something.... That might just be the pessimist in me, though Unless those economic levers are literally to pay off debt and not for transfer use...
-
Raphinha hopefully be clearer tomorrow anyway once Deco talks to us. That Juve CEO comments are really encouraging, price could be an issue, though Slightly off topic but does anyone know if that Gerard Romero fella, who mentioned Barca perhaps trying to hijack Raphinha, is reliable? I see conflicting answers on social media. some say he is, some say he is sensationalist and gets loads of things wrong.
-
Raphinha to Barca is so fucking obvious Deco was probably already out there before we agreed a deal with Leeds, got wind of the news and went straight to Nou Camp to see if theyd match it. By tomorrow or Friday they'll probably get their economic lever authorised, sign Raphinha, Lewa and complete Kessie and AC. FdJ will then join Utd. OR, they'll use FdJ money to sign Raphinha, [and the lever to sign the others] even before FdJ is confirmed perhaps. Like Villa did when they knew Grealish was off. If they know the cash is coming, they can use it I really think they'll rush and do whatever it takes to get Raphinha before he chooses us. I am usually not overly negative, but i think this one is dead.
-
Even if Arsenal match it, i still think we are his preferred choice outside of Barcelona. Suspect this deal is now very very close to being official. Raphinha, Sterling, within the next few weeks i reckon. CB is anyones guess
-
Probably find the club are waiting until after July 1st to start business, as it goes into next financial years books
-
Well we were told once Lukaku was done we'd focus on incomings. Sit back and watch it unfold then, shall we.....
-
7m euro plus bonus is Milan's latest offer. That deal is now as good as done for me. They'll either increase the bonus and/or make them more achievable, or throw another 1-2m euros down. No way that deal falls apart now, not when the figures are that close
-
I'd sell for that. Even though id like to also see him have a chance here, thats money you can't grumble at when you consider he wasn't really setting the world alight at Saints Way I look at it is if Broja belonged to Saints and we were linked with him for 30m after the season he has just had, would i be keen. Answer is no.
-
Im sensing this Lukaku deal will be done by end of the week the speed it is going. Or at least agreed
-
So, who will replace Rom? Gab Jesus? Lautaro Martinez? Lewa? etc Or will we just stick to Werner and Havertz?
