I agree that he should be played sparingly but it was not wrong that he took the penalty ... after the 2-0 lead we didn't score goals at all... imagine if Torres missed the penalty + they came back for equalizer things would have gone worse for Torres, and for Chelsea ! penalty kicks have to be taken by someone who is sure he would score ... now I am not suggesting Torres will miss but how many times has he taken a penalty ? damn !!!

will Marin be available for this one ? Torres is not among the list of regular penalty takers. If Lampard isn't there then Mata then Luiz. Lampard is Mr.Perfect when it comes to penalty and I can't see that as a big hindrance.

Mata's body was screaming out for rest, Mikel need to pass the ball faster and Torres, well I was happy with him. Hazard + Oscar were really good. Bertand had a good game.

we need a reliable striker (someone who can replace DD, who will step up when situation demands) I think DD should have been here this season ... our younger players( Hazard, Marin, Oscar, et al) would have learned a lot from him... he would have thought them when to up the tempo of the game and to step up on big occassions... I think Villa Park will give us a clue as to will shine this season for us. RDM has to have a perfect game plan to add another silverware to his belt
