  1. HAHAHAH... dude that is like saying we lost 3-1 to napoli so any loss which is not as bad would be a good result. we were in a bad moment under rdm plus we had diificult draws (united twice, shakhtar twice, juve, pool, swansea and wba). but the quality of squad we have and with a managerial change i would expect a lot better than what benitez has given us. and its not just in the league. the league was just one point in the argument.
  2. benitez vs mourinho head to head 3 October 2004 1-0 CHELSEA 1 January 2005 1-0 CHELSEA 27 April 2005 0-0 DRAW (UCL) 3 May 2005 0-1 LIVERPOOL (UCL) 27 February 2005 3-2 CHELSEA (CC) 2 October 2005 4-1 CHELSEA 5 February 2006 2-0 CHELSEA 28 September 2005 0-0 DRAW (UCL) 6 December 2005 0-0 DRAW (UCL) 22 April 2006 1-2 LIVERPOOL (FA) 17 September 2006 1-0 CHELSEA 20 January 2007 0-2 LIVERPOOL 25 April 2007 1-0 CHELSEA (UCL) 1 May 2007 0-1 LIVERPOOL (UCL) WON ON PENALTIES BY POOL 19 August 2007 1-1 DRAW so as i see it the head to head record is JOSE 7, BENITEZ 4, DRAW 4.
  3. so we can conviniently forget august and september? infact lets just forget about anything good rdm has done and everything bad that has happened under rafa like the cwc final and west ham loss. lets only focus on the mauling of 16th place aston villa and championship team leeds.
  4. and how many games have we won under benitez? we have gained a total of 8 points from a possible 15 under a new manager which normally sparks the players to perform much better (and we as chelsea fans have enough proof to that). add to that the defeat of cwc final and u have at best an average tenure of 9 games. that is AT BEST.
  5. what confidence are u talking about? the confidence that has lasted a mere 135 minutes right now? has a 8-0 and a 5-1 win over villa and leeds already removed the memories of the 1-0 loss in the cwc final mostly because of his tactical blunders...
  6. fine lets compare their careers then. benitez - 1995-96 : Real Valladoid - sacked after 23 games (2 wins, club last in la liga) - 1996-97 : Osasuna - sacked after 8 games (1 win) - 1997 : Extremadura - helped in their promotion from "segunda division" and the next year got relegated. - 2000 : CD Tenerife - helped in their promotion by coming 3rd. - 2001 : Valencia - He inherited from Cuper a team brimming with potential – with Santiago Cañizares, Roberto Ayala, Rubén Baraja, David Albelda, Vicente and Pablo Aimar providing the backbone to a formidable side that had reached back-to-back UEFA Champions League finals in 2000 and 2001, losing only on penalties in 2001 to Bayern Munich. 2 league titles in 3 years. (no way a poor team by the way) -2004 : Liverpool - one champions league from 2004-10. -2010 : Inter Milan - sacked within 6 months of appointment. Jose Mourinho 2001 : União de Leiria, whom he took to their highest-ever league finish of fifth place after joining the club with seven games left to be played. During his second season at União de Leiria, the team was on a run contesting places as high as third and fourth by January. Mourinho's successes at Leiria did not go unrecognised and he caught the attention of larger Portuguese clubs 2002 : FC Porto (january) : Mourinho guided the team to third place that year after a strong 15-game run (W–D–L: 11–2–2) and gave the promise of "making Porto champions next year." In 2003, Mourinho won his first Primeira Liga with a 27–5–2 record, 11 points clear of Benfica. The total of 86 points out of the possible maximum of 102 was a Portuguese record since the rule of three points per win was introduced. Mourinho also won the Portuguese Cup (against former club Leiria) and the UEFA Cup final against Celtic, both in May 2003. In 2004, the team was dominant in the Primeira Liga and they finished the season with a perfect home record; they secured the title five weeks before the end of the season. Porto lost the Portuguese Cup final to Benfica in May 2004, but two weeks later, Mourinho won a greater prize: the UEFA Champions League, with a 3–0 win over AS Monaco inGermany. The club had eliminated Manchester United, Olympique Lyonnais, and Deportivo La Coruña and their sole defeat of the competition came against Real Madrid in the group round. 2004 - Chelsea : EPL and league CUP. In 2005 - EPL In 2006 - League Cup and FA cup. 2008 : Inter Milan - serie A 2009-10 - TREBLE 2010- MADRID - 2010-11 - copa del ray 2011-12 - la liga. and u still want to know why we want one and not the other. do u even believe what u are saying urself or r u just arguing for the sake of it. Mourinho is a LEGANDARY coach who has acheived success in every club he has coached and damn big successes they have been. as for your madrid argument i have already given u a post which i think u missed or just refused to acknowledge so please stop trolling and putting useless comments.
  7. precisely the reason i told u to forget it. if we had won yesterday and torres had not scored these guys would hardly be celebrating plus arguing with them makes us hope bad things for torres so seriously drop it.
  8. there is absolutely no middle ground on this forum. 135 (fantastic and absolutely mind blowing) (45 against leeds and 90 against villa) minutes would have benitez almost crowned as the best manager ever while 135 horrendous minutes prior to that (45 against leeds and 90 against corianthians) had made most of us call for his head (i am one of those).
  9. 28 year old center back when we have a 21 year old bruma and a 19 year old kalas.. please no.
  10. forget it dude... u r arguing with a bunch of torres fan girls... they think the universe revolves around torres so just let it be,,,
  11. good performance... too many positives to take from the game (for once ). just hope we can continue this to the post christmas period too... motm- hazard.
  12. a point behind arsenal, everton, spuds and wba. this becomes a please dont lose game now just for psychological advantages... please dont lose.
  13. relax dude.. lamps will get a new deal and the FSW will have his ass kicked out of here soon...
  14. the operational word here is "this year", when RM is 13 points behind in la liga, out of copa del ray and came 2nd in their group in CL. in short RM have been very poor this season and so you expect fans to react that way. by the way which boring tactics are you talking about? the boring tactics that had RM score 121 goals in 38 matches in la liga while conceding just 31. let me tell you something about RM fans since you have brought it up.i have cousins and friends who are die hard RM fans and those guys are eternally grateful to jose to give their team a spine and a lot of character. every person has his followers and his critics and jose is the type of person who earns critics very easily. as far as comparing him to FSW goes, well i cant do that because i cant stop laughing every time some1 brings it up.
  15. that part made me laugh so hard that i actually had tears from my eyes.
  16. if u had asked most people here even we would have said that "no english side in the final"... but simply cant see united beating madrid and definitely cant see arsenal being competitive against munich...
  17. so basically there will be no english club in the quarters...
  18. galatasaray vs schalke celtic vs juventus arsenal vs munich shakhtar vs dortmund ac milan vs barcelona real madrid vs united valencia vs psg porto vs malaga awesome....
  19. to be honest "the seeded pot" looks shit in front of the "unseeded pot"... i mean the unseeded pot has some really good team...
  20. just watching the draws... just wish even we were there...
  21. seriously? how does that make sense. if the fa actually wanted to change anything then it should have been away goal rule till normal time and if both the teams score in extra time then nothing changes as the rule would then be for 90 minutes of play for both the teams.
  22. damn it... he is the captain of my fantasy team...
  23. our record without mata in pl has been bad. i would like to take this match's momentum into the villa game. plus villa is kinda our bogey team doubt we would rest mata.
