  1. There were complaints about his wage demands, people saying we shouldn't give in to him, and yet now they are wanting a quick resolution? Just be patient, it will be done.
  2. Didn't catch Blues News last night, but Will Dalton has been tweeting that it should be done today, which seems reliable enough to me!
  3. I'd say loaning him is no longer an option. Fallen out with the manager and can't get a run in the team. He's very inconsistent (from what i've seen, or not seen ) and he can be a bit selfish. But he's at his best when he's facing the defender 1-on-1 at pace, which is something we're lacking. Interested to see how he plays on the left because he won't dislodge Studge from the right wing. I think there are better targets out there in all honesty, none of which seem to be available at present, however.
  4. Kicked off at 2PM mate. Not on TV though. Hutch, Lukaku, PvA & Kakuta all playing.
  5. Essien starting for the reserves today! So happy for the guy.
  6. Perhaps a little fantastical, but I see your point. I like Kalou, he's always had a good attitude towards playing and has remained positive, for the most part, considering when we bought him he wasn't a winger and we've forced him into a new role. The problem I have with Kalou is his consistently poor decision making, he has the movement of a striker, but not the footballing brain to play as a winger or an inside forward. Granted, he scores goals, but I don't see him as a genuine threat to either of our current wingers starting spots, which is what we need, genuine competition for places. He's blocking the route through to the first team for hungry, young players who are contributing with goals, but also providing more to the dynamic of the team than Kalou does.
  7. And I agree, my point was that with players like Lamps/Malouda etc who aren't suited to the style of football AVB wants to play, we're still going to be playing the slow, methodical passing around the box type of football. Gradual integration would've been ideal, but with the lack of consistency at the club, we've not been able to introduce young players and have them gel with the established players. We've left it late to overhaul the squad to sum up. To add: It's something Ferguson has always been good at. The squad is overhauled often, yet it's still done gradually enough as not to disrupt the core of the team. I suppose that's owing to their loyalty to the manager.
  8. This been confirmed? Been hearing rumours about it all day.
  9. Brilliantly finished by Ramires for the second. Someone's clearly put him on finishing training
  10. He's never going to hit form if we keep moving him into new positions (trequartista, winger) and force him to adapt. I agree with you on the point that we need a set starting lineup, we then might begin to see some fluidity to our play.
  11. MK Dons or QPR away. Glad it's an away tie, we seem to be doing better on the road.
  12. I don't think so (could be wrong however).
  13. He should, in theory. Problem is that Ashley has shown no signs of needing to be rested. Like I said, it's unfortunate for Bertrand, he deserves to be playing.
  14. In a way, Bertrand not playing for longer was the only one that didn't make sense to me. He's unfortunate in the fact that we have one of the best LBs in the world who is consistently good. His attacking prowess seems to be a little wayward this season, but his defending is still solid and his fitness is unquestionable. Also begs the question of Van Aanholt's future at the club.
  15. He was on the bench. Didn't want to cup-tie him for Swansea (which is where he looks to be going as of today) i'd assume.
  16. Possibly, for Lukaku personally, but the importance of the team and the club should take precedence. Torres needs to hit form, he's the one who supposed to spearhead our attack with Drogba gone, and perhaps the management saw this game as one where he could put in a good performance against weaker opposition (not sure if he did or not however).
  17. What was I saying about our inability to put a game to bed?
