I meant those three, Ron, not the amount itself. The three we have aren't enough. We have one #1 material striker and two #3 material strikers. We don't have a #2 striker that has the qualities to play his part.

There are two things to take into consideration:
    1) if we want to get rid of Torres, Mourinho has to continue to praise the only possible aspect of him that can be praised and give him some match time, who will buy a player that doesn't play? It's really a case of being between a rock and a hard place.
    2) Who are we going to play if he gives him the Malouda treatment? We don't have four strikers waiting to play. we have three, two already passed it.
I can't believe whatever happened because of stupid French television ruined Eto'o and Mourinho's relationship to the point he wants to stay in London but won't stay with us.
Sorry for people who may get offended by it, but based on current form Eto'o >>>>>>>>>> Drogba regardless of what Etoo's real age is.
Also, the order things are released to the general public isn't necessarily the order they happened. Mourinho probably knew about Lukaku's departure before we went after Didier. We probably went after him because it was clear Lukaku wasn't going to stay - the deal just hasn't been done yet at the time.
It's a HUGE miscalculation on Mourinho and the board's side thinking that Drogba is enough just because we have a good striker on Costa. Costa could struggle to adapt, injury himself and a lot of other things that will make us look to the bench and only see two players that aren't on their best anymore.
We should have brought someone other than The King (as much as I love him and I think he can be useful) because the awful truth is that both him and Torres are #3 striker material. None is up to being # striker. They should be getting the same amount of minutes as Ba had (even less actually, as last year we had a rotation for #1 striker throughout the whole season). It should be having Torres OR Drogba in the squad, both is nonsense and suicidal.
There will be only one person to blame if our season is jeopardized by not having a decent #2 striker and that is Mourinho. Even the board can't be held accountable if Mourinho tells them the same thing he tells us: that the three strikers we have is enough. It isn't.

I think it's gotten to the point where a lot of the reactions to the criticisms of Mourinho are just as knee-jerk as some of the criticisms itself. I admit that a few of the posts I've read on here slating Mourinho have been over the top, but at the same time there're some that have been legitimate criticisms. The problem I'm seeing here is that regardless of whether there're unreasonable or valid, any criticism of Mourinho is being met with angry accusations of being a glory hunter. This is exactly the same thing some members did in the beginning of the season when a few were saying that Oscar doesn't give us enough creativity and shouldn't be played in the number 10 position ahead of Mata. It was the same kind of reaction.......... "mata fanboy", "plastic fan" "support the club not the player".
It's normal to respond angrily to unpopular opinions (I'm not excused from that myself) but to start making accusations and calling lionsden or whoever, a plastic supporter just because they dare to hold a contrasting opinion from the normative thinking, crosses the line of reason.
I don't agree with everything Lionsden or MrExcalibur have said but I just think it's ridiculous that they're being treated with so little civility by a few on here when really, they haven't said anything so outrageous to warrant that kind of treatment. It's not like they've said "Mourinho will be the death of Chelsea. Sack him now". What they've said is that Mourinho has certain flaws that they don't like and they've been brave enough to verbalize them rather than follow the flock.
Imo I think what we've seen in the champions league this season isn't really the "death of tika taka" but what can happen when a coach isn't flexible and when a coach prescribes too rigidly to one type of system.
Mourinho needs to evolve as a coach and he needs to evolve his tactics. If saying so makes me a shit supporter, then ya'll can kiss my ass.

Since we all are entitled to an opinion & we should have one here, I do not understand some of the name calling here.
Some are laughing at Jose´s tactics, others are happy to win games at all cost.
As far as I am concerned, should I be happy to see 10 players in front of the box defending for their lives just to get the desired result? The results are great, but to be ridiculed by the media everywhere, is something I would like to avoid.
I honestly believe Jose was not hired to park the bus in every other game. Hopefully, it will be changed in the next season. Otherwise, parking the bus & ending out of the semis, 3rd in the PL, Jose goes fishing.

Hazard is young so easy to understand him speaking out of turn .. Jose is one of the most experienced coaches in the world.
He should have handled it better ,, Kept his remarks for in his office . I consider Jose to be 90% to blame .. If it loses us Hazard it will be a fucking
disgrace and it will return to haunt us .

Absolutely laughable how all of you including Mourinho apparently are going tits up about something he didn't even say. THE ONLY FUCKING THING he said in the interview, is that counter football is the house style of Chelsea (c'est un peu nos technique), a bit like Real Madrid, not possession football.
But hey, let's all blindly jump on the bandwagon and assume he is criticizing Jose without knowing fuck all. Learn French, get your facts straight or stfu.

Hazard is a nice guy and a bit of a joker but i fear for his response. This kind of thing meant the end of his relationship with the former national coach (cfr. the hamburger incident). Public criticism doesn't really fall well. Also communication 101: never give individual feedback in public. I train that shit to managers all over the world, its no different in sports.

Unfortunately, he might have this time and it won't be the first or last time. He just keeps on burying himself with some of the stuff he comes out with and this isn't the first time. Jose should know that Roman will have him gone before Hazard, I'm certain of that.
This is why I had my reservations about him initially, apart from the brand of football.

And please stop with the "Jose is never wrong" sentiment all the time. He is not the founder of the club or a god. He is not Roman. He's a great manager and a Chelsea legend, but he needs to have a rethink of his behaviour if he plans to stay here "forever".

Short but sweet, I agree 1000%. We can't afford to turn a blind eye because it's Mourinho. He said it himself, no one is bigger than the club. No player, not him and not even Roman. Take responsibility and stop giving the media ammunition by publicly criticizing our players. Torres one day, Eto'o the next, Hazard today. Get a grip, Jose. It's not always about you.

Ok then. If he had no business on the pitch, I ask who put him out there? Jose, if I remember correctly. Now, he let him have it in the public? Uncalled for, in my opinion.

    Unpopular opinion =
I'm starting to get turned off by him, I'm sorry. He's changed. He's not the same guy he was in his first spell here. I'm not calling for him to be sacked, far from it, I'm not insane but he needs to relax a little and accept defeats sometimes. He needs to know he is an ambassador of this football club with every word that comes out of his mouth placed under scrutiny. The clever quotes are fun to listen to, but when you start throwing your players under the bus to deflect from criticism, then you know you have a problem. No one needs to remind Mourinho he's a great manager, but Jesus Christ, the guy needs to curb his ego. His (prepared) speech on how he feels to be going two seasons without a trophy was sad to listen to. Sometimes you wonder if he really loves the club or if he is mostly concerned with furthering the legend of "Mourinho the Special One".

And thanks for giving the media more ammunition to write further bullshit about the club, thus creating more bad vibes around the dressing room. I think in the recent weeks, Jose has shown himself to be a very bad loser. Blaming referees and now even blaming his own players. It's always someone else's fault. One minute you're happy with Hazard's defensive work, the next minute, after a defeat, you're not. One minute "we don't have a striker" the next, the "strikers are doing a good job?" I can go on and on but it's getting out of hand.
Mourinho needs to understand that Chelsea is a bigger club than the one he left in 2007. His recent antics just won't cut it with the board. It's bad enough we have to watch the turgid football he serves us every week. He seriously needs to focus more on the training and less with trying to sound clever in press conferences. He needs to take responsibility for defeats and realize he is an ambassador for the football club.
I'm not one of those CFC fans that believe this sun shines out of Mourinho's ass. His job is to manage the team and not treat it as a vehicle to massage his ego. Ancelotti would never utter some of the stuff Mourinho has said this season. There's a way to be a great manager and classy at the same time, but I've been turned off by Mourinho's antics all season and especially in the last month or so.

What bothers me a bit about Mourinho tactics, is that he plays like he's the lesser team against any decent opposition. Defensive, counter-style football. He even did that at Real. It's not really nice to watch and with the attacking qualities Chelsea has it's not really necessary to put 6 defensive players on the pitch in a home-game. The point was to score a goal, right?

We bottled the League and CL in disastrous fashion. No idea how anyone can claim this season was a success.
Dropping 13 points against WBA, West Ham, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace and losing a CL semi-final you were leading at home isn't a success in any fashion.
